What a cute and quirky venue. I bought some beautiful liquid soap which I had a try of in the bathroom. Nice cake and lovely coffee although you do have to watch out for Piri Piri the cake eating chicken! She's quick and she's not afraid to jump up on the table. An unexpected laugh and they brought out another piece no trouble. Our dog was unperturbed by the experience and so were we :0)

Esperé 25 minutos para revueltos y tostadas y cuando llegó hacía frío. Obviamente se olvidaron de servirlo como la gente a nuestro lado que se sentó 5 minutos antes de nosotros había horneado patatas inmediatamente. Lo llevé de vuelta al mostrador, lo recuperé en 5 minutos y obviamente se sometió a microondas, ya que era como goma, y la tostada ahora estaba fría y también como goma! Señora que nos sirvió la segunda vez era muy blasé, y acaba de cepillarse, así que no vamos a volver en el corto plazo

I had been out all day and was going to catch a train. I had a couple of minutes before the train arrived so I went to the Mallard Bar to get a quick drink. The bar has images of the Mallard steam engine on the outside linked to the railway going past the window. I am not sure if the actual steam engine has visited Dingwall? I was served by a friendly member of staff and suitably refreshed I left to carry on my journey.

Het restaurant is al een aantal jaren gesloten, het hotel echter niet. Daar hebben wij een nachtje geslapen. Prima hotel, schone kamers, beetje klein bed maar verder niets op aan te merken. Prettig voor wie van een borrel houdt, de pub is heel gezellig en bevindt zich in het zelfde pand, waar je overigens niets van merkt.

What on earth has happened to the Plockton Inn? Where have the locals gone, along with the atmosphere? Where has the affordable food and drink, and real ale gone? We’ve been coming to and staying in Plockton for decades, although our last stay was after a few years gap, and whilst a visit to the Inn was usually a highlight of our trip, once over the door it turned out to be an avoidance this time! Everything that made the place in the past has gone, even the person behind the bar felt embarrassed when he took the huge chunk of money for our drinks, and suggested the food has gone in the same direction! Hardly anyone in the place, all the atmosphere of a railway waiting room, and eye watering prices. It appears that even the locals have decanted to the excellent Plockton Hotel. Nice clean refurbishment but a huge disappointment and anticlimax! Owners, sort it out please, you’ve ruined a wonderful place!

Decent food, but a bit overpriced. But nice staff made it up and a great location

Looked like a good place for food and a beer. Oh dear….. what a disappointment, the restaurant was no reservations. Was seated at a table close to the open door, windy and where the smokers were. Asked to move to an alternate table to be brushed aside by the waitress. Awful attitude from her. My husband asked how long the wait was for food and if we could move to a free table, she said not long for food and was snotty about moving us away from the wind and stench of cigarette smoke. Food looked extremely unappealing when it came out. Decided not to waste our time in this awful place. Rude, unprofessional, dirty, not what it claims to be. Do not bother.

Friendly staff, prompt service. Generous and tasty portions of Scottish bar meal classics. We shared the haggis, neeps and tatties starter and then had the fish and chips and burger for our mains.

Attended here today with family portion sizes are very very poor for the price that they are. The kids portion was £5.95 and what he recived was absolutely poor for what was paid for the meal. The macaroni was very runny and very tasteless and poorly presented. I also think that the menus could have prices on them aswell? Won’t bother returning here again as it’s just not worth the money for what you get.

Beware of Bandits. Very expensive drinks and very poor food. Portion sizes and quality very low with prices very high. This was once a decent stopping point whilst touring the highlands . The traditional bar has made way for a soulless boutique style hotel. Utter crap, wont be coming back . Mustn't forgot to mention the service charge added to the already inflated bill..

Worst cup of tea I’ve ever had! It probably hadn’t seen a tea bag for more than 2 seconds 🤢

Great food and very dog friendly. Made welcome from the minute we walked through the doors. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are not salubrious but comfy and clean. Will definitely visit again. Thanks for having us 🤗🐾

They really do have fresh local seafood and game. (Not all who make that claim live up to it). Herring, crab, venison stew. All perfect. Thanks to Lucas and Johnnie in the kitchen and Andy&Karen out front. Great value too!

Dishwasher Always gets broken. I dont like my Americano on a paper cup.

Price rediculous bar needs serious refurbishment bunket sofas discusting all torn showing the horrible sponge under neath bedrooms need serious refurbishment no plugs in sink rediculous is anyone or owner involved in the place cannot blame staff but they need to use their voice in the running of the disaster of the tailrace.
