The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Badenoch and Strathspey Highland Highlands and Islands

Our second visit to the cafe and it was just as good as the first. Messaged on Facebook before we went and received a very quick reply. It was open for takeaway only so the tea room's tables were removed, creating plenty of space to move around in. A wide selection of food available for mid-morning on a Tuesday, including a great selection of cakes. Gluten free cake option available, as well as a range of cakes. We had four different ones between us and each one was, just delicious!

We stopped by after our walk around town. We only had beer or hot tea, but sat by the bakery display. I was too full, but still coveted the scones. There were cakes, cookies, frosted doughnuts.... a busy, but still friendly staff topped off this most refreshing stop in our day. Next time I will lan better and have the scone, clotted cream and jam!

Delicious food, hot strong coffee, pleasant service, limited tables, got very busy, nicely decorated venue with lovely views. Would just say the menu is limited. However will definitely be back, clean and bright place to eat

What a gem of a place. Plenty seats at the back and a lovely sitting area outside also Dropped in for lunch, after having a lovely breakfast previously, and it didn’t disappoint. Home made tomato soup was lovely, and I had it with a cheese scone, which was also delicious. Finished with a pot of chai ginger tea with honey and milk. All for around £10.

Lovely friendly cafe with delicious coffee, great selection of yummy cakes and an excellent cooked breakfast. They do more but that’s all we sampled on several visits while on holiday! Highly recommend a visit

Some of the freshest pints going and fantastic vibes and energy. Lovely spot for a post mountain/walk pint. 10/10 would recommend.

A delight to find somewhere independent open earlier than 9am for a coffee and breakfast roll. Just what I needed for the road. The veggie roll was delicious and the flat white coffee as it should be served in a small cup, tasted good. Friendly customer service very attentive. Plus they prefer cash so make sure you have plenty of change as it will be welcomed. They do take cards as well. Thank you

A great wee spot. We went in for breakfast and coffee, both were good. I thought the coffee was particularly tasty. Also great speedy yet friendly service. If I find myself after a big breakfast in Aviemore again, I will return. 😁

Excellent cafe with a lovely food menu. I’m coeliac and the menu was clearly marked with a lot of options for gluten free. I had a baked sweet potato with beautiful fillings. Nicely presented and good portions. Highly recommend.

Good service, tasty breakfast. Nice decor. Dog friendly. Mid priced. Opens at 10 on weekends and 8 on weekdays. We were staying at a local hotel which only did continental breakfast so we went here both days for breakfast. Had small cooked breakfast the first day and Lorne and egg roll on second day. Both were good although breakfast wasn’t very hot. Had dog biscuits for our dog which was nice.

Really pleased to find this hotel restaurant serving food to non-residents early evening (5.30pm), when we were hungry and tired after a day's walking in the Badenoch area. Service was impeccable, the atmosphere friendly, the seating comfortable and food enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to others.

Used to come here a few times a year and it was lovely. Owned I think by an older person and had their family helping them out. Food was always good. Great views and lots of lovely gifts to buy. Came back to find the cafe and shop has new operators (the owners still own the place). The food choice was much less and I’m afraid I didn’t like the cake - too heard. The coffee however was excellent. Most of the gifts have gone too. I’m afraid it’s just lost something in the change. Work to do to bring back the sparkle.
