Nethy House in Highland

We were recommended to come here for breakfast and we weren't disappointed. Lovely local food and friendly staff. We then had a lovely walk back to our accommodation.

Lovely friendly cafe with delicious coffee, great selection of yummy cakes and an excellent cooked breakfast. They do more but that’s all we sampled on several visits while on holiday! Highly recommend a visit

Literally the most delicious salad I’ve ever had - such a fabulous combination of usual ingredients and wonderful fresh dressing. Tasty cuppa too

Stayed the night and had breakfast the next morning. Lovely place in great location. Will definitely look to book again on our next trip in the area.

Busy place with great cake. We had ham salad sandwich which came with thick brown bread, yummy sandwich, but the ham taste was lost. The carrot cake was top class, so yummy. Great place for coffee and cake or a solid lunch,etc.

Stayed at Nethy House in Room 5 for three nights. Really lovely room. Clean, tidy, cosy, warm. Bathroom spotless. Lovely sheets and towels. Perfect stay. Got a discount on breakfast as well.

Came here with heigh expectations. What I got was stale, cold pancakes served literally minutes after I ordered them( so couldn’t be freshly made) and a latte that tasted like the milk was slightly off.

A brilliant stay! We stayed in the disabled room due to having 2 dogs. The room was tastefully decorated, plenty of room with tea and coffee making facilities. We stayed here as we needed a change from our normal hotel. I will now not stay at that hotel thanks to this gem! It’s great value for money and the food is exceptional. A delicious breakfast! We’ve also visited before for lunch and cakes and always found the food delicious!

Visited here twice on our stay in the area and both times were excellent. We had brunch on the first visit a cooked breakfast and sausage bap with coffees all lovely. Our second visit was for lunch when we had soup and scones, again lovely food. Each visit we left with takeaway cake which I can wholeheartedly recommend. The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. Oh and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. Highly recommend.

Visited here this afternoon. Very busy but worth the wait to get a table .Enjoyed coffee and cakes. Staff friendly and professional. Big plus for us that it's dog friendly ..inside. Will return next time visiting area to have their pancakes which looked yummy !

Lovely warm welcome from staff, dog friendly and the food was wonderful. They even went to the effort to split our soup and sandwich in half as we were sharing- nice touch! Would definitely recommend ☺️

We had a wonderful afternoon tea which was both delicious and amazing value. You must order 24 hours in advance but it is worth planning to!

This is a gem of a place, great selection of food for breakfast, lunch or just a quick snack. We had a selection of cakes and scones, all of which were delicious. It is a really busy place, popular with locals and tourists.

We called in here a few times during our week in Nethy bridge. We would have liked to sit in the cafe but even though dogs welcome ours has a tendency to steal food from tables so we got takeaways!. we all loved the vegan sausage sandwiches, the scones and the St Clements cake. We would definitely go again when we next stay in Nethy bridge.Thank you :)

We visited this place several times over two family visits to Nethybridge. The food is amazing, everything I had was the best one I'd ever had - the soup the scone, the pancakes, the hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and my young daughte also loved it. It is light and airy, with a variety of art on the wall, and a gift shop selling local crafts. Would go there right now if I could!

We stayed in one of the Nethy House rooms for 4 nights. It is set in a beautiful part of the country and is an ideal location for touring around various and interesting places. The room is ensuite & has a very comfy sofa and TV and full tea / coffee making facilities. There is also a shared kitchen area with cooker, microwave and fridge should you want to eat in any night. The staff were wonderful - big thanks to Minnie for a very hospitable welcome and to our cleaner (Tracy, I think?) - very friendly staff and all very helpful. The coffee shop / tearoom downstairs provide excellent breakfasts and lunches (with a discount for room guests as an added bonus!) - the food is top class - again the staff were wonderful & very friendly. We had a grat break for a week & will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Repeat visit four years on from when we were last in the area. Delighted to find that the food is still delicious and good value, service friendly, and the cakes scrummy! Hopefully won't be four years until we're back.

A fantastic lunch spot. Despite the place being really busy the waiting staff were friendly and professional. The soup and sandwich option proved to be delicious and great value for money.

Arrived and the cafe was nice and full, went over to a staff member and asked where we can sit. We were told we could grab a table outside as inside was full up. Waitress came to take our order and shortly after brought us our food, hot dogs. We were really happy with them and the drinks, raspberry lemonade. Finally we have tea, coffee and cake. We had a Yorkshire tea which was as expected, a cortado which was made correctly and some cake each.Over all great experience!

We had a delicious lunch, sitting outside There was a wide choice on the menu I chose the Thai sweet potato and coconut soup which came with a very generous portion of wholemeal bread. I followed this with an oaty slice full of dried fruit and seeds. It was so big I kept some of for later!

Lovely and welcoming staff sat outside spacious table. Soup pea courgette and mint was delicious no savoury scones left but granary bread was good. Quiche and salad did not disappoint. Unfortunately no room for any of the fabulous cakes!

This has been a great place since opening but our visit today was just average. Selection of cakes etc was poor and the one we selected was disappointing ( and covered in a thick layer of sugar). Do hope you can get standards back where they were

Had lunch and cake here on recommendation of some friends.Varied menu could have chosen many things, had the cheese and chutney quiche with salad which was homemade and delicious , followed by coffee and walnut cake.Husband had the Ecclefechan tart which definitely won the cake front.Prompt friendly service would definitely return

Ventured in here for an early lunch after a gorgeous walk in the nearby woods.We sat outside and had really excellent and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious (I had the veggy hotdog) and the bill was way smaller than you might expect. Would definitely return if I was in the area.

The rolls are the cheapest not what I would have expected. I would have thought some hearty whole grain or artisan breads would be preferable. Nice surroundings but we felt it was very average. Nothing to get excited about.

We visited after a chilly walk. They serve Glen Lyon coffee-always a favourite. We both had the mint slice, which was yummy. The menu looked great and the cake selection was excellent, we will be back.

Paid a couple of visits here during a recent week’s stay in the area. On both occasions the staff were friendly and welcoming although the cafe was busy with locals & visitors alike. On the first visit we were asked if we minded waiting outside for a few moments due to understandable social distancing requirements - we didn’t & had only a short wait. Our reward was a delicious ‘Millionaires Sundae’ which we later attempted to walk off. On the second visit we had various breakfast baps which were very welcome and set us up well for the day ahead. Like the vast majority of reviewers, we would wholeheartedly recommend this delightful & friendly cafe.

Based on the lovely reviews on here we decided to visit today. We entered the cafe and stood for a good 5 minutes. Eventually I asked a waitress if we could find a seat ourselves. We were told no seats inside and the door was opened for us to go outside. We stood on the decking looking at the wet tables and chairs feeling slightly bewildered! After a few minutes we walked down the steps from the decking got right back in our car and drove somewhere more friendly and welcoming!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Coffee and cake too. Friendly, welcoming and great food. Nicely decorated modern yet cosy. They also do B&B in the rooms above.

We visited Nethy House as we were staying at the Hotel in Nethybridge and were glad we stopped by. We just had some coffee and cake but both were delicious and lots of choice. Good service and nice little place. Would recommend stopping by here.

We stayed here 2 nights and were well impressed with our accommodation. Modern, spacious, comfortable and clean. A delicious breakfast for residents was served at the café prior to opening. This was extra, but as the price of the B&B was so reasonable, it was still great value. We also enjoyed some of their luscious cakes with proper hot coffee and tea served in a china teapot.Add friendly, helpful staff and you have a truly wonderful experience.Can't wait to return!

Stumbled upon this while out cycling. A little gem. Great service, great coffee and subtle but effective controls for the pandemic. Millionaire shortbread needed a few more cycling miles to work off but it was delicious.

Home made soups and cakes all delicious. Gluten free options. Good coffee served with a smile Very helpful staff if you have an allergy: they will do their best to feed you. The forest is around the corner with easy walks and fresh air. What more do you want?

The food here was great. Good value, well prepared and lovely staff. Very organised social distancing and one way system in the cafe. We took advantage of the eat out to help out government scheme. Our family loved it. We were able to sit outside at a picnic table and enjoy our lunch in the sunshine. Lovely baking, great sandwiches and splendid soup.Try the ice cream sundae!

What a lovely place,host welcoming and has worked hard to make it safe given current circumstances. Location excellent and great to be able to have access to outside space but also cosy room to come back to. Will definitely be back 👍
