The Laggan Wolftrax cafe is a superb place to recharge and refuel especially if you're planning a day of mountainbiking on what is some of Scotland's very best trails. The cafe is clean and well presented and the staff are friendly and superb, all backed up by quality items to sample. I opted for the special which was Japanese chicken in BBQ sauce with rice and it was excellent and just what was needed before a day on the trails. There are clean and well maintained restroom facilities also. You can pay to park by RingGo also for convenience. Recommended.

Used to come here a few times a year and it was lovely. Owned I think by an older person and had their family helping them out. Food was always good. Great views and lots of lovely gifts to buy. Came back to find the cafe and shop has new operators (the owners still own the place). The food choice was much less and I’m afraid I didn’t like the cake - too heard. The coffee however was excellent. Most of the gifts have gone too. I’m afraid it’s just lost something in the change. Work to do to bring back the sparkle.

Another visit to Aviemore Inn for John's fabulous Steak Pie and a few drinks. Yet again it did not disappoint. This is a lovely friendly wee pub which John and Mary should be very proud of. If in Aviemore you should definitely pop in for food/drinks.

My family and I went to mambos for lunch and it was fantastic! The girls waitressing were helpful, friendly and attractive. The food was fresh, presented well and very tasty, my husband said it was the best burger he’s had in years!! The lentil and ham hock soup was absolutely scrumptious warmed me up after a long walk in the cold highland weather. Kids meals were fab as well and the mozzarella sticks are game changing. With the quick friendly service and delicious food I would 100% recommend. Keep up the good work guys !!!!

My new local for when I am in the Grantown-on-Spey area. Warm welcome and friendly helpful staff. Looked forward to going in each day. Regulars friendly and is dog friendly too. Often feel a bit awkward in a pub I have not been in before but lady behind the bar immediately made me feel welcome and at ease - no mean achievement. Regulars all greeted by name which is top customer service. Would willingly have stayed but unfortunately only booked hotel for 3 nights... Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Loved this bar/restaurant for years and was looking forward to visiting it again with friends this time too. But they've stopped doing food which was disappointing as it was always lovely and a good start to the night. We still had lots of fun in the bar and music was fab. Would be 5 stars if they had been doing food 😁👍

Absolutely diabolical. Take my advice and steer clear of this place. The staff can’t speak or understand English. The food was Luke warm, tasted horrible and portions were small, the salad consisted of lettuce, onion & olives only. The prices are exorbitant for what you get. I will be amazed if this place lasts. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Never again.

Visited 3 times in 5 days and probably spent more on coffee than we did on merchandise (and Tiso is an excellent shop by the way). Excellent coffee, lovely cake selection and a truly fantastic full English/Scottish breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. View to the Cairngorms outstanding and our doggy companions most welcome.

Another of my favourite cafes which has gone downhill recently! This time, they have lost the chap who was their star baker (IMO) . Soup is in quite a small bowl now but no matter…costs must be horrendous for cafes these days. But the cake selection! Mostly GF or vegan..Why?? The vast majority of people don’t require these food fad options so why make the majority of cakes along these lines? I was told , wrongly, by the girl owner that ‘they just taste the same’ but they most certainly don’t. There is no substitute for quality butter/good chocolate etc. Anyway, I chose the carrot cake which to me, was one of the best anywhere but it was truly awful. When I mentioned that the recipe seemed to have changed somewhat, I learned that their baker had left and the owner had ‘tried’ his own recipe. So disappointed in this once great wee cafe.
