Delicious food, hot strong coffee, pleasant service, limited tables, got very busy, nicely decorated venue with lovely views. Would just say the menu is limited. However will definitely be back, clean and bright place to eat

Not a massive selection of cooked/hit breakfasts but what they do have is absolutely fab! We had eggs benedict and the portion was really big, beautifully presented and super tasty - the hollandaise was perfect! The food was served promptly. Coffee was good as well. The breakfast was expensive - but on a par with prices in Aviemore, but in a nicer environment, better quality and nicer servers - so overall offers more value. The service was lovely and the decor inside was beautiful. Some gorgeous paintings and prints for sale by Anne Vastan (?) Which were stunning. We also got cakes & cannoli to take away which were amazing. The lunch rolls looked amazing and I cant wait to return here!

Great cafe with stunning views and food and lots of local art for sale on the walls. There is free parking outside and they allow pets. We visited multiple time while on our honeymoon in Aviemore

Modern cafe, great coffee and service. Outstanding amenities and cleanliness. Probably the most polished business we visited in Aviemore. More like high quality city centre standards!! Only slight negative is we thought there could have been a better selection of cakes alongside the amazing lunch/ brunch options. Overall we loved it though so thank you!!

Honestly the best food!. We ate at quite a few places in aviemore for lunches etc, and they was All over priced and basic food. we wanted breakfast and drove around and found this place, tucked away, the eggs special, was amazing on fresh sourdough bread, nice and crunchy how I like it and the scrambled eggs is beautiful and creamy. compliments to the chef . The best place we ate in the few days we visited. Very reasonable prices 😊, and warm and cosy environment, and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend

Had such a lovely welcome today, the chef was friendly and so helpful and made this delicious lunch. Gluten free/ dairy free brioche, streaky bacon and the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. They also made a fab hot chocolate with coconut milk. Now this is how to run a business, positively engaging with your customers and seeing where you can adapt dishes. I felt like I was listened to and the chef came and double checked everything before making it…… Also the cafe was bright, airy and spacious, clean floor and tables. The toilet facilities were very clean. 10/10

Disovered this cafe by accident, and glad we did! We came in for lunch with our two boys two days in a row the food was SO good. Staff very friendly and attentive. We both had soup, which was delicious and very generous helpings, served with lovely warm sourdough. Both our boys had the waffles which they said were the best they had ever had, served with seasonal fruits, crushed hazlenuts and creme fraiche. The coffee is amazing too. Our new favourite place without a doubt.

This cafe is a hidden gem, no need to stay on the main street. The place is clean and the food is absolutly stunning. I own a cafe in Edinburgh and there is not a such place like that in the capital. Congratulation !

Somewhat hidden away from main street. Beautifully decorated upper floor cafe,(stairs and a lift) Super choice of food, cake, coffee and a large choice of teas. Professional staff. Fair prices. I hate Aviemore but this cafe is good enough to entice me back!

The best coffee in the Highlands and it doesn’t end there! Tucked away on the first floor of an industrial estate this cafe offers first class food and really lovely service. The sandwiches are delicious, as was the Greek salad as are the cakes but best of all the coffee! We so enjoyed our visit that we went three times during our week’s holiday and are only sad that we will have to wait until next year as they are closed on Sunday and Monday! Can’t recommend it more highly

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.
