The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Edinburgh and Lothian

Mi esposa y yo comimos aquí un domingo por la mañana en noviembre. Mis amigos que se alojan en Queensferry delira acerca de este lugar, así que reservé una mesa, que era un buen movimiento, ya que el lugar estaba super ocupado. Tuvimos una mesa de bar preciosa junto a la ventana que da a la calle y vista del puente ferroviario de Forth. Hay una gran selección de platos calientes, desde comida reconfortante hasta ofertas más creativas. Mi esposa tenía el familiar Croque Madam mientras me aventuraba a la tostada francesa de especias de calabaza muy estacional. Ambos platos estaban deliciosos y muy bien presentados. El personal era amable y eficiente. Los clientes no paraban, por lo que se aconseja reservar con antelación. Al salir, no pudimos resistirnos a sus pasteles y compramos un pastel de canela y merengue de limón para el camino que eran suntuosos. Excelente relación calidad-precio y que no se puede perder! This place is a shambles. Absolute chaos. No one seems to know what they are doing. Running about all over the place. Took ages to order. Took ages to get our order. Then they forgot our drinks. Everyone working there seemed to be taking orders, dealing with the orders, taking payments, clearing tables. Chaos reigns. Watching other tables, you could see it was a similar experience for them. Kitchen staff left at 8 on the dot. Shouting cheerio. Have a great weekend to the other staff. Music playing in the kitchen but not in the cafe but loud enough so everyone could hear it. The ice cream is nice but this whole set up should be much, much better. Luca's is an Edinburgh institution. What a mess.

I don’t know if we just visited this pub on an odd night but our experience here wasn’t the best. The vibe in the pub didn’t feel very welcoming, the staff seemed tired and unhappy, the butterbeer wasnt great, and there was an open mic night of sorts happening which was chaotic and was a bit of an earache honestly.

We visited this place whilst wondering around Stockbridge. Friendly service, great selection of cakes and really good coffee. Would recommend if you’re in the area!

My wife and I stopped here for a light lunch after visiting the Chapel, and enjoyed the experience greatly. We sat indoors but had a fabulous country view out over the patio. We opted for soup (lentil) and it was delicious, an ideal light lunch at a reasonable price.

Cashier was incredibly nice and welcoming! Will definitely buy something here again!

Very nice inside, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I asked about gluten free and everything is gluten free apart from the bread, and because of this there is a risk of cross contamination. I went for the spicy Chinese soup and felt fine afterwards. The small portion was a good size and the cappuccino with almond milk was delicious. A very nice peaceful lunch. I did notice a lot of people coming in and and leaving without buying anything - there were only a few options, so perhaps there was nothing to taste.

Lovely home made food. We had fresh lentil and vegetable soup, home made coconut and cherry cake. Very nice. Excellent service.

I don’t think I have enough space to fit this into 100 words! Unfortunately I have a medical problem for which I’ve been advised to stick to a “Fodmap” I thought I would never be able to go for dinner with my husband. I called the evening before when a very lovely member of the team asked me to email my food restrictions to her which she gave to Chef Lewis When we arrived for our booking we sat in the gorgeous lounge and was advised that the chef would come to speak to me. Chef Lewis sat with us and went through the menu. I chose to have a rib eye steak, chips, carrots and a lovely tomato salad. I was delighted the steak was melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection, it was all perfect. My husbands food was excellent too. We had a lovely Valentines dinner thanks to the fabulous caring team and fantastic Chef Lewis. We can’t put into words just how much we appreciated your time and for making it a special evening for us. We have booked a table for 5 people for Mother’s Day. No need for a menu for me, same again Lewis. 🥰 We have been to many restaurants all over the World and we have never received the outstanding service, care and attention we received from Chef Lewis and the rest of his team. No atmosphere, no dogs, no customers, very rude staff. Completely empty. Everywhere else busy and not a single customer. Says it all.

Heerlijk ontbeten. Jammer alleen dat de openingstijden niet duidelijk zijn. De ene dag om 8 uur open. De volgende dag niet. Maar heerlijk ontbeten toen we er terecht konden.

I cut through the station on my way to work and used to go there all the time for a coffee and one barista in particular always remembered me and was always nice and cheerful and friendly (think his name is Lewis). I had not been for over six months and am now drinking less coffee but I went back the other week and to my delight (baring in mind all the customers that they will get in a busy train station each day) Lewis remembered me and gave me the same warm friendly greeting

Very small café in Edinburgh centre, very few tables inside. We found a seat and we enjoyed the soup and sandwich. The staff is quite friendly, the coffee is good, the espresso a bit too long. Good place to eat something at a reasonable price.

Wow. £ 4. 90 por una pequeña taza de chocolate caliente. Y estaba tan sucio allí también. Estaba pegado en la mesa, las ventanas sucias, polvo por todas partes. El personal muy joven (supongo que los alumnos que trabajan después de la escuela y fin de semana) era amable.

While me and my friends were waiting on a delayed train at the nearby train station Waverly. We stopped into Mimis bakehouse and had a cup of coffee and some scones. They were some of the best i have ever had, and the coffee was exceptional as well. Me and my friends were thrilled with the quick and effective service offered by the staff. Will be returning!
