Small branch of Stephens the bakers but good choice available. All the usual pies and bridies available along with a good selection of filled rolls, cakes and rolls etc

What a glorious day we had at Thornton Golf Course, clubhouse and restaurant. The new catering team were fantastic. Home cooked food from fresh, using local suppliers. If you live in Thornton what a great asset to have on your doorstep. We will be back to play and eat as we've found a hidden gem. Thanks to Yvonne and her team for looking after us.

Myself and my colleagues visited Scotland over 3 days on business trip around the east coast of the country Each day we visited a different Baynes , Falkirk , Dundee and Dunfermline The chicken and haggis pies were amazing ! As were the fresh sandwichās , cakes and other pastries! We voted them the best bakers in the country and will definitely make a return ! All the staff were very helpful and loved their jobs ! Well done Baynes

Tasty.... My friend and I visited here fir the 1st time. Very pleasant surroundings, equally pleasant staff. We sat through the back which was very nice. The coffee was really nice but the Rhubarb Loaf.....well!! It was amazing! I'll definitely be going again

Just your typical bakers. Pies were a little greasy but the curried chicken bake was better. Rolls were particularly crusty.

Dropped in for a cupcake and latte .Nice friendly girl behind the counter . Lovely selection of cakes and scones . The latte was really good and I would certainly try the cupcakes again . The cafe also has a site on Facebook

Below average food and poor customer service. Second time I've been here and definitely the last. No care or consideration for the guests money or their time. Very disappointed with the service, especially from the woman with black hair and cheap jail house tattoos

Fast service, ill give them that but the food is absolutely pitiful. Had steak and asked for a specific medium rare and they still somehow buggered the order up. steak was rubbery and tasteless. The desserts were okay, not the best but definitely a 1-up from the main dish. Being as honest as i can here, probably wont be back for a while. dissapointed.

Located within minutes of the High Street, shopping and a few restaurants this spot is a great central location for the city. I only spent 1 night in Dunfermline but felt like i had good access to anything Iād need from this location. PROās - Staff - everyone I chatted with were super accommodating and helpful. - Parking - there are a few dedicated parking spots under the building on the backside of where you may drive past when en route to the hotel. If those are full, thereās also a large paid lot. - Restaurant- I had the steak pie with veggies for dinner, it was pretty tasty and filling. The veggies were steamed and fresh, but a little dry, so would be nice to have a sauce of some kind included with them. - Breakfast was good with a small, essential selection of hot breakfast options, as well as toast, tea and coffee. Would have enjoyed some juice, and water but didnāt ask. Most of the places I stay which offer those items have them out and readily available for guests. - Room - Iām a solo traveler on this recent visit so I booked a single room, which had just a twin bed. The area is small but pretty well laid out and felt decently spacious. Conās/Suggestions - The bathroom mirror is mounted pretty high, so most people (especially women) of average height would not be able to use it. The room I had (26) had a lot of available space in the bathroom, would love to see a small table or something in there for holding toiletries when getting ready in the morning. And access to a mirror for makeup and such. - Would be great to have some kind of luggage stand to put my bag on instead of it having to be on the floor. - The TV was mounted above the desk and very much off to the side from the bed, which limited viewing of the TV. In general I enjoyed my stay here and could see booking this spot again.

I will dream about the cri pie for months. Went here after recommendations from my caddy and very happy I did. The staff were exceptional and paired me a pint of the house ale to go with my steak pie. Tip for you add some haggis to the pie what a combination. Absolutely no complaints this is everything a pub should be and more. Management should be proud of what they have achieved here. Great outdoor seating area which was sadly full to the brim but I enjoyed sitting in the bar chatting to other customers. Cracking place.

Visited here for a relaxing spot of lunch with a pint. However, I noticed a group of people vaping at the table opposite me. They continued as staff were mopping up under their table after a few drinks got knocked over. Yet, the staff said nothing! I then asked a young man, who brought the food to my table, if vaping was permitted in the pub. He said it wasn't, so I suggested he tell this to the table of which I was pointing to. He just looked over at them and then walked away. When I had ordered my meal, I opted for the larger size madras for just an extra Ā£1.40. It arrived rather quickly and was quite nice but it came without the chutney which is supposed to accompany the dish. This is usually a real nice Spoons but I'm disappointed with the experience on this occasion.
