A friend who lives locally suggested we have lunch here and it was a great choice. We were lucky to get the last table upstairs on a Friday lunchtime. She had a ham and cheese toastie with salad, I chose the frittata with the smoky beans and everything was delicious. You have to pay in another building next door but one on leaving, and the very pleasant girl there offered me a 10% voucher to use in the bakery opposite. As it was Valentineās Day we chose a couple of heart shaped brownies and they were gooey, chocolatey perfection.

Cafe 64 has the perfect combo of delicious food, the friendliest and most delightful staff and a gorgeous range of mostly gluten free cake made locally. The chef is adventurous and as well as serving standard British breakfasts, including veggie options, he also serves up such lovely alternative food. I just ate sweet potatoes, a spicy chutney and a really fresh salad of cucumber, tomatoes, radishes and onion. They also cater really well for gluten intolerant and vegetarian tastes. Yummy

Shame that this has closed and we were so fortunate to get there on the last day before it did. When we saw that it was still number one and also award winning, we had to return and we're not disappointed. We just hope that the other cafes in Lynmouth rise to the standards set for future visits.

Booked via WhatsApp. Reply came back quickly next day, all booked. Arrived on busy Saturday, greeted immediately and taken to table. Cafe is series of rooms and outside area open in summer, we were seated in room at rear with view of garden. Like being in lovely dining room in someoneās house. Throughout service was first class. We have breakfast, served until 1130. Sausage sandwich on really fresh granary bread. Just lovely. We will return, the highest was the service. Just how it should be.

Lovely atmosphere from the moment we walked in on a wet damp Friday in February Staff were attentive, helpful Monkfish bites & Crispy Beef were delicious, I had the flat iron steak, cooked perfectly, tasty, the ribeye was excellent as was the Chateaubriand! Two of the party had dessert the Baked Alaska & Rum babas both were plentiful & tasty The only criticism I have is one of the party had a Brandy to finish, he was asked by the young lady would he like it warm, when it came over it hadnāt been warmed, we told the young lady who apologised, took it away brought it back on top of a glass with warm water, Iām sure you have one maybe just popping glass on a brandy warmer would be much nicer A lovely meal with family will definitely be back

Just had tea and a cake with my lovely work colleague friends. What a gorgeous little tea shop this is. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff armed with a hot sample of winter tea. They also had delicious vegan cupcakes and all of the treats were beautifully presented. To add to the experience, all of the teas, coffees, infusers etc. are available to buy. The shop itself smells of delicious things and the ambience is mellow and inviting. I was so impressed and will definitely be visiting again. All of the staff are super friendly - thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon in a perfect tea-lovers heaven!

The epitome of a Tea Room, leaf tea, China cups, plus excellent tea shop food. If you are in Barnstaple, ignore all the ācoffee housesā, make your way to this Tea Room. Excellent service, good food, all at a reasonable price. We cannot recommend it more.

Staying overnight in Crawley, we were craving a substantial breakfast and while I often struggle to find something vegan, my partner was more than happy to go meat-free this time. The only other vegan venue in town has moved over to burgers and poke bowls but Sage offers a Full Vegan breakfast and that's exactly what we wanted! The food is delicious (I personally loved the scrambled tofu) and not a bad price nowadays - £12.95 for the aforementioned scrambled tofu, mushrooms, beans, tomato, hash browns, sausages, and sourdough toast. Another couple of quid and you can have 2 rashers of vegan bacon (which, of course, I did!). The menu also offers various light bites and more filling plates. I'm already planning to drop in on my next way through Crawley, just to try out their mixed kebab grill. And yes, everything is still plant-based! There's a good range of coffees with a couple of specialities (I opted for the Matcha Latte) and a selection of non-dairy milks such as oat, coconut, and soya. Also juices, soft drinks, etc. The venue is nicely decorated in a clean and modern style - there's wood panelling offset by crafty back boards and large shaded lights arching over each table. It has a relaxed and inviting feel to it, backed up by the service, which was friendly and welcoming. It's always nice to have a light-hearted conversation that doesn't feel forced, and this place has that natural charm throughout. In short, this is now one of my favourite vegan cafés, especially being one that caters for us herbivores as well as any flexitarian friends that may want to join us. Situated along the southern end of the historic High Street, it's also a convenient location, so the best of all worlds!

Four of us came here in early November to celebrate my birthday. From the booking through to actual service it was wonderful. You can bring your own wine and pay corkage which we did but ended up just having some of the excellent organic wine from the wine list. There was lovely bread and olive oil on the table which disappeared quickly. I had cured trout for starter, hake for main and a posh Eton mess (my best description anyway). All the food was fresh local produce, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The most surprising and very pleasing thing was the bill. At around £55 per head including wine and service it was extremely good value for money in this day and age. I would most definitely look to book again when we come to Cornwall next.
