Having read some previous reviews we stopped for lunch. After a friendly welcome we chose the cheese scone with butter, Black Bomber cheese & pickle. The scone was delicious, warm from a fresh baking and complimented by the strong cheese & pickle. A super lunch!

We were recommended by a local tradesman, I had the most delicious breakfast ever and my wife a lovely omelette, both coffee and glass of orange each. The service was by some lovely friendly ladies who were very welcoming, I even got a sausage for my dog, We sat in the beautiful cottage garden, if Heineken made tearooms this would be it. Can’t fault it, would go back at a drop of a hat. Dave, Lizzie and Eric from St Albans.

Lovely cafe, dog friendly (in the garden, not sure about inside), with character, great food , friendly staff & lovely home made cakes. Visited after a good walk up & over the long mynd, so had a much needed refuel (meant we could have lunch & a cake). We both had the Welsh rarebit & salad, which was excellent, both the carrot cake & Victoria sponge cakes are thoroughly recommended. We will be back

Oh my this was a superb experience. Myself and my husband had a fruit scone with homemade jam and clotted cream. This was served warm too, one of the nicest freshly made scones I have ever tasted. Love all the pottery too. We will definitely be back.

Myself and my friend have going to Jemima's for just over 12months now, the main reason being Tina. We were in Church Stretton very early one Sunday morning post wet, soggy walk with our dogs and Tina was so friendly, kind and welcoming that we have kept coming back. The food has always been excellent (I'm a veggie). Also would like to mention the lady with the lovely blonde bob (sorry I don't know her name) who also works their, again really welcoming and kind. Great staff and great, fab garden and decor.

Previous visits would have seen me leaving a 5 star review but today's visit was underwhelming unfortunately - maybe just a blip? We like the quirky decor and usually the atmosphere, but it was very quiet there today. I have enjoyed numerous visits to Jemimas over the past few years. Not been in for a few months so I made a special trip to Church Stretton today with my daughter for a weekend treat before she went back to uni. The menu choice felt limited. I had the broccoli and camembert soup soup which was unfortunately unpalatable. My daughter had a baked potato, which was a reasonable price but undercooked. When I mentioned the soup as I paid they said they had had a few complaints about it and the aftertaste was probably caused by the white wine they had added. Shame they didn't think to mention this when I ordered it. I won't hurry back.

We'd visited before and thought we'd return for a Cream Tea. Indoors, little had changed although some of the furniture and fittings were now looking tired and in need of some love and attention. A good clean, dust and tidy would have helped. We appreciate that items are freshly prepared, but service including ordering was slow. And finally, the cream tea was both more expensive than others bought on holiday this year, and not so nice as others.

The garden was beautiful, great atmosphere, quiet and intimate, only 5 tables. The menu was fresh and there was a nice variety of choices, from sandwiches, to omlets, to breakfast pastries and cakes, teas and coffees, and smoothies. I had the farmers ham sandwich on gluten free bread, an oat milk latte, and a piece of gluten free apricot and almond slice. The sandwich was served with a variety of salads that were well presented and tasted great. I wasn’t wild about the apricot dessert— too sweet for me, needed to be more almond crust. My friend had the Mediterranean veg sandwich and enjoyed it as well. It was very affordable as a nice bonus! Service was good, people friendly and accommodating. Will def go back for afternoon tea at some point.

I am a hard man to please when it comes to bacon. Most elements of a full English, I am not fussy. I can appreciate a good sausage, a crispy hash brown, or a perfectly poached egg, but it wouldn't matter to me if these elements were sub-par. However, if you speak to either of my friends they will tell you that I am a diva when it comes to the bacon. Crispy? No thanks. Fatty bits? Bleugh. A little burnt? I'd rather eat soap. Jemima's Kitchen provided me with THE BEST BACON that I have ever tasted. I suspect that I ever will taste better bacon, as this has to be the best bacon in the world. It was sublime. It melted in the mouth. It was somehow creamy. It made me want to die there and then in a moment of pure joy. And so I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved - pig, farmer, abattoirist, delivery driver, cafe owner, chef, waitress and washer upper - in the beautiful experience which was this bacon.

Lovely, excellent quality food with friendly service. I wanted a combination of aspects of items from the menu - the lady was perfectly happy to fulfil my requests. The carrot cake is scrummy!! My husband had Christmas cake and said it was delicious.

You'll get a lovely welcome from Diana and her team. The coffee, cakes and breakfasts are just so tasty and it's a pleasant way to spend an hour in her lovely Victorian tearoom. This was our third visit (Over a couple of years) and if we only lived nearer I'd be there more often!

Great tea and cake in the afternoon. This is a quaint tea room with lovely cake and nicely presented pots of tea.

Brilliant little cafe/coffee house attached to a boutique hotel right in the centre of town. Friendly staff and a top top English breakfast breakfast that me and my golfing mates can fully endorse. I don't normally like marmalade but theirs has changed my mind. We all loved this place - thanks Diane & team for looking after us so well - we changed our plans so we could eat here again !

Met up with friends for lunch and was not disappointed. The cafe was clean, and comfortable with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Food was delicious, and loads of vegan/vegetarian choices. A feast for both mouth and eyes! Would highly recommend to anyone.

1st time visit whilst on holiday, but whenever we visit nr Oswestry this will be the place we will come ,the Landlord and landlady where the best pleasant and chearfull, the staff who served us where very nice, and food well there lots to choose from, and as a Camra member it was great to see 3 nice local beers (all nice) yes tried them all (not driving) .but what a gem of a pub, called cross keys I believe once, now called the Docks. Why I don't know , nowhere near Liverpool
