Awesome place - great food, very friendly and excellent value. The hanging kebab skewers were super tasty and very filling, and the waiting staff were friendly and professional. Will definitely be back!

Great food. Friendliness from service staff is to be desired

Great traditional pub, with some specialised ales too, not that I like them, prefer lager myself! Gets busy most nights, but so at the weekend. Tends to show sporting events if they're on, football, rugby, darts, etc with TVs scattered around the bar for viewing from almost anywhere. Having fairly recently been refurbished, the decor is light and airy and not so dingy that other traditional pubs tend to be. The landlord does a lot for the local community and regular events are hosted here, especially in the warmer months. Lots of the events are kid friendly too.

Called in last weekend surprised with the large range of products on sale. Quality clothing section good range of Barbour clothing. Cafe on the upper level with toilets to the rear of the store. Not cheap but the old saying is you get what you pay for.

Saj and Frank gave an amazing service, very friendly and welcoming. Food was made exactly the way we wanted it. Amazing food will be coming back again

Great place excellent bar staff very friendly

Wouldn't recommend going without booking first. Arrived at 7pm to have a meal as they advertise serving food till 8. However refused service even though all menus still on the table wasn't even told the kitchen was shut when ordering a drink.

Another rough and ready boozer.

This was my only free camping experience of the coast to coast and truly one of my best camping experiences of the whole trip! You get a toilet, shower, washer and dryer, all for free and just donation based. There were even laundry pods. They stopped serving food at 4pm the day I was there but were happy to help me order food if needed and sold a few snacks which kept me going through the night. Also the locals couldn’t have been friendlier and made for a lively night :) would highly recommend!
