The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Colne Valley Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

Called in today for a breakfast it was lovely staff warm and welcoming food delicious and I would recommend anyone to visit.

Always very tasty food, wonderful service and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Gorgeous, flavourful small plates menu - highly recommended with their signature side of impeccable customer service!

Not a fan of the changes particularly the seating. Shame there aren't some bar style tables at the windows to enjoy the canal view. Majority of seating is communal tables which is awkward when solo. Not a fan of the public handling the bread either. And is all that plywood food safe? Also "please wait to be seated" has never worked well during the various trials here over the years Was a regular for years but won't be so much now.

"I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with an incident that occurred at your establishment during a recent visit for a friend's birthday. Despite being loyal patrons for over ten years, the owner approached our party, which included out-of-town guests, and made unacceptable remarks suggesting our presence would negatively impact the bar's reputation. This belittling behavior, particularly in front of our guests, was deeply offensive and unacceptable."

The food was OK. My 9 year old ordered a green smoothie, but didn't like this. It cost £5 so asked if we go swap this for something he would drink and they said no. We will have to pay and couldnt re-do another drink. This was a discretionary decision made by the young lady with black hair It's a shame, as this has put me off returning here. Wouldn't have had this experience at starbucks!

Lovely local large cafe serving great Vegan options Very friendly, very amenable

Very good food and tea. Staff and service were also very good. Only downside was the volume coming from other diners, it was a very busy lunchtime but no need for the volume.

We had a fantastic late lunch at Mario’s. A delicious vegetarian burger and a very tasty ham and cheese panini. Staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly. Everything perfect and e value for money, we will be back very soon! Thank you!

This is a fabulous pub,indeed,to me,the best in the Colne Valley by a country mile. Gary,the Landlord and his friendly/very capable staff are brilliant and the Real Ales on offer (several rotating) are always TOP NOTCH. I chose this as the venue for my Retirement-do and I'm sure it was a very good decision. Beer gardens are a massive plus in Summer,particularly the one tucked away round the back and if you're "into" Craft Beer ,up the hill 20 yards on the right is part of the same establishment.

Omg came today for a mothers day fry up after hearing so many good things about this place and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I had the Jumbo breakfast with tea and toast . I have to say this is the best breakfast I've ever had and I've had a few . Everything was fresh, good produce used and sooooo tasty . I will be returning for sure . Looking at the menu in general there's plenty of choice and great prices too . 😋

We went here for a meal out to treat the team and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and a wide variety of choices for everyone. Not one complaint on the table. I had a steak which was beautifully cooked but was envious of everyone else. Service was brilliant as well. Thank you we would come again.

This is the second time I’ve visited here in 6 weeks and on both occasions met with RUDE staff. The customer service is appalling. DO BETTER.

Just arrived home from Mozzarellas. It was our 58th wedding anniversary and we decided to celebrate it with a meal. It was absolutely gorgeous, I had the seafood pasta and my husband had the Sea Bass. Both meals were delicious and the service was fantastic. Thank you . Tony Dreda and Rory the dog. Nice country pub, conveniently located next to Marsden train station. Good selection of beers and ales, well priced also. It was a good place to get a pint before embarking on a long walk around the nearby moors. Downside would be some of the clientele when we returned to Marsden after our walk. Atmosphere spoiled by a large group of middle-aged yobs on the "ale trail". Aggressive, confrontational, loud and swearing constantly. Spoiling a pleasant Saturday afternoon when families and children would've been in the vicinity. They then piled onto a train to Huddersfield to go and take their knuckle-dragging antics elsewhere. One of them was particularly precious about his best pair of Sports Direct trainers he was wearing. They probably had nowhere else to be on a Saturday afternoon what with it being the international break. Shame because the pub itself was nice and we encountered other ale trail folk who were far more pleasant. Think this one group was just particularly bad. In conclusion, I would recommend this pub to anyone in Marsden but advise caution if you happen to be visiting on a Saturday afternoon. There's a reason the pints are served in plastic cups around that time!
