As my wife and myself arrived in the cafe we where greeted by Sarah the new owner who was very helpful in helping us choose from their menu, the food that came was fantastic cooked by the resident chef Ian, what followed was so surprising both my self and my wife where nearly in tears, Sarah had sent out for a bouquet of flowers for Jane, after just coming out of hospital, which was just fantastic Thank you to Sarah you are one in a million we wish you the very best Christmas for you and your family 👪 all our love and best wishes from us to you 😊 😀 ❤ xxxxx

A sign on the street drew us to go upstairs and we arrived at a wonderful restaurant, starting from the design through the service and finally the food. The menu, which combines Italian and Caribbean food, was particularly intriguing. The dishes we chose were very tasty and quite large. We ate everything!! And we will come again. Highly recommended.

Best afternoon tea about! Mama Doreen’s never disappoints, the food is beautiful as is the fizz! The staff are friendly, attentive and extremely patient (when customers are being outright rude and difficult). Big shout out to Elliot who was amazing, thank you for making my mums birthday so special! Can’t wait to come back soon xxx

Lovely, friendly, lively atmosphere. A good range of cask ales available and pleased to see a couple of stouts on which we're excellent.

I live in Harrogate and this is the first visit I have paid TomSlingsby’s. I visited with my daughter today (31st of January 2025) for breakfast. I ordered a full English breakfast whilst my daughter ordered porridge with honey and we shared tea for two. May I say that the service was absolutely first class, as we were greeted by a very pleasant lady, who was the front of house and took the orders. The the café was quite busy however we found a seat in a warm corner, on a cold day. Our breakfast was serve fairly quickly by the chef who was very attentive and made sure that we were taken care of. My full English breakfast was the best I have tasted in years and certainly the best breakfast I have ever eaten in Harrogate. I thoroughly recommend this café to visitors, especially those staying at the Travelodge on Tower Street, as the cafe is opposite and quite unassuming from the outside. It is located down a side street (Tower Street behind the Coach & Horses Pub on West Park) the main road entering Harrogate by the Stray open parkland. The breakfast served looked absolutely fabulous and tasted even better than it looked (very delicious) as all the produce is locally sourced. The bacon and sausages were very tasty and served with egg, beans, mushroom hash brown and 4 halves of toast. I will certainly be returning to Slingsby’s for a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast, well done to the staff.

Smart, clean cafe with plent of car parking. We enjoyed the coffee. Jacket potato skins were rather tough and a member of staff could have been more polite when I commented about the cheese. Yes, mozarella is stretchy and fine melted but not when it is served like elastic.
