Generous portions of good, hearty, pub food. Can be busy early evening so worth booking a table. The pub has a car park and it’s also on a bus route!

Visited on 19th Jan 2025. I drove past this place a lot, finally make up my mind to bring my family for a meal. Food is good, service is great! Everything is freshly made instead of out of packaging. No wonder it's full of customers when I drove by before. Strongly suggested the cheese burger (for child).

Beautiful cocktails, really friendly staff, quick service, and overall a fabulous experience. Highly recommend!

Great quiz night on a Wednesday.

We used to visit regularly and then a few years ago service was poor coffee was bad and despite a proper barista coffee machine nobody knew how to use it! Rollon 2026 we thought it was time to retry and WOW you have reprised yourselves ! Well done! Coffee was excellent and great cakes! I still miss the vegan cheesecake but thst was 14 years ago! 😂😂😂

Ordered a mini Monty sandwich, the girl that took my order was that slow at making it I was the only customer at the time. it was cold when I ate it straight out of the shop, bacon was like leather and the egg was like rubber £4.80 don’t think I’ll b back.

Qué gran lugar para conocer amigos. Hemos venido aquí por un tiempo, a pesar de la distancia. Siempre nos reciben con una cálida bienvenida. Gente genial que tiene buena comida y una excelente selección de cervezas, licores y refrescos. Siempre pasa algo, en cuanto a entretenimiento. Hay noches de billar y dardos también, que lo mantiene tan tradicional como puede llegar a ser. Incluso tienen un grupo local de ukelele actuando todos los lunes por la noche. Un lugar increíble.

I have eaten in the Stables Kitchen twice recently and I am impressed by the food, the cafe itself and the people too. We had sandwiches, which were fresh, tasty, generously filled in a nice bread and the pot of tea was nice too. Thank you so much for getting in right, so many cafes don't. I look forward to my next visit.

Popped in for a quick lunch on our way into town, arrived by 12.00 good Friday first through the door, we made our way to a table, the young girl came over and took our drinks order, this done I went to the bar to order food, 12.06, two melts with fries on the side, we waited and we waited, at 28 minutes past 12.00 I went to the bar and asked if the kitchen was busy, the girl said there just plating up, so returned to my seat, a few moments later lunch arrived,lovely food but the wait, I will not return because of the waiting time, the potting shed had no orders in before ours we were first, WHY THE WAIT?

Have eaten here a few times. The last time I went at the beginning of Feb it was good, this time not so great hence the three stars. My dad lives in the area and says staff are constantly changing which is sad for the locals as they like to get to know the staff. Staff seem to be more bothered about cleaning than customer service. Portions can be hit and miss but overall it’s ok.

Fantastic pub, with a great friendly atmosphere. The outdoor setup in summer is great with a huge outdoor marquee and loads of outdoor seating. They run great live music nights and have a large tv for sporting events. Cosy fireplace inside and dog friendly. The food is a very special addition with some amazing things on offer and the mid week specials are at a fine dining level. Highly recommended.

Nice little pub to be fair. Meal we had was delicious, lambs liver and onions with chips and peas. Liver melted in your mouth. Good selection of beers and tea and coffee.

Food was good service and wait not good
