Ordered a mini Monty sandwich, the girl that took my order was that slow at making it I was the only customer at the time. it was cold when I ate it straight out of the shop, bacon was like leather and the egg was like rubber £4.80 don’t think I’ll b back.

Bought two supposedly large bacon mushroom and tomato sandwiches and over £8 for two and they were just average size breadcakes loads of fat on the bacon as well that you have to take off rip off prices

Have use this place for years but just don’t know where the class has gone presumably down the drain, sandwich quality is rubbish bacon seems to have been cooked hours previously and all hard and dry, just feel I need to go elsewhere from now on, owner cant care judging by recent reviews on here.

Customer of over 10 years, for majorly 5 days a week every week. 6 pieces of ham purchased across 2 sandwiches today. Every piece was brown. The member of staff who made the sandwich could not have missed this, and they still sell the sandwiches. Work 30 miles away so no way of obtaining a fresh sandwich, nor was a refund offered. Waiting for call back off a manager. Members of new staff never seem to show consistency when making sandwiches also. Some days you could have 2 slices of ham and next could be 4! All for the same price, which by the way has increased whilst quality and quantity of ingredients have decreased. I have seen the manager working in here for years, so expect a call back with a reasonable solution.

Always been great for years. Recently taken on new staff in hessle branch. Seem to be really rationing fillings. On my regular visits I've noticed some staff make them properly and others don't. I would recommend waiting for a staff member who has worked there awile. And to sandwich co. Train your staff on how to make a sandwich

Used to use this place, but never again after asking other customers who came into the shop AFTER ME FOR ORDERS! There are other places people can go for customer service,if you give poor service people will go elsewhere,it's simple, you lost me as a customer forever, and also I realised it's cheaper to make my own sandwiches, bad customer service leads to customers going somewhere else, which is exactly what i did...When will you business owners realise that customer service is everything?

I visited the shop yesterday and while I waited to be served I witnessed the staff wear the same gloves to deal with several customers sandwiches and handled money before I made my order. Then the girl serving rubbed her face with the gloves on and then made my sandwich with the same gloves on I didn't want to say anything to her face to face because they was a que and I didn't want to put her on the spot. After leaving the shop i didn't want my food and put it in the bin. Shame because I've always used your shop. Just maybe give your staff some advice about food hygine.

Been attending for a few years now having been attracted by the interesting combinations of ingredients. The large sarnies are a perfect meal at lunchtimes which leave you full for the rest of the day. Downsides are queuing particularly at lunchtimes and parking isn't the best in that area.

Conveniently positioned in Hessle square . Can get busy at peak times but worth wait. Excellent choice of sandwiches customised to your choice of items for inclusion. I really like the breakfast options.

Real sandwich deliver to my workplace which I fantastic. Anything that you order will be of the best quality and taste amazing. Wether it be an individual sandwich or a platter Real Sandwich do not disappoint.

This business is very appropriately named. They do make up very real sandwiches!! Choice of different breads/rolls/panini and a great selection of fillings- hot and cold. Quality fresh Ingredients. Efficient and friendly owner/staff. A great place to get a real deep fill sandwich.

Have visited many times for both hot and cold sandwiches. Always plenty of staff working so no long wait. Good amount of fillings and good prices.

Best kept secret in Hessle. Been going to this sandwich bar for a Mini Monty for about 13 years now. They still do the best sausages I have tasted. Always busy so if you can avoid it don't go at peek times. Always queuing out the door but don't be put off the staff are superb and quick. Highly recommend.

What a superb choice of freshly made sandwiches. Too many to choose from which is not a bad thing! We will certainly be back.

Service was slow, finally got food home after 10 mins. of waiting for it and they'd missed out half of my sandwhich fillings but charged me for them all. Just disappointing and has happened more than once

A great selection of fillings to tempt you, served generously and reasonable prices. The only downside is the queue, but the friendly staff soon tackle that and it most definitely is worth the wait !

I wouldn't go anywhere else for a sandwich in Hessle - this place is fantastic. The flavour combinations are so tasty and you get so much for your money! The cooked sarnies are fab too. No wonder people queue out the door to order!

Have been buying sandwiches here for years and the choice of fillings just gets bigger and bigger. They don't have a vast array or different breads (unlike their main rival in Hessle) but this means the sandwiches remain in no-need-to-remortgage price bracket (unlike their main rival :p). They are generous with their fillings, which are always tasty and even when the queue is out the door you are never waiting long as they ensure they have plenty of staff on during busy periods

Best place around for breakfast sandwiches! Very efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended!

This place is a brilliant addition to Hessle Square and is very popular, whatever the weather. Great variety of sandwiches on offer, cold or hot. Drinks are also available. The service is always polite and efficient. At peak times the girls serving have a right rush on, but always manage to be polite and smile. Now onto the grub. As above, great variety, very tastey, and reasonably priced. In the years that I have been using this place not once have I had anything that was ok, it's all very tastes.

This is a takeaway sandwich shop with plenty of parking but watch out on the private car park next door. it's nothing to do with the sandwich shop but you can use it for short stay use. The food from this shop is well prepared tasty and reasonably priced. I often pop into the village and only need an excuse to go and buy bacon or sausage buttys.I am told the takeaway breakfast is very good (will have to try one). The staff are always nice and polite. The shop is always very clean and tidy bearing in mind they are always very busy.I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

just pass hessle need food have a sandwich it was real nice food and not bad value for money it was busy but i don't mind

The sandwiches are fairly good and a decent size, but they seem to get things wrong so often. Onions on today when I said I didn't want any. The other day it was no mayo, before that the wrong meat.Watch them to make sure they give you the right item and you should be alright! Rubbish service though.

Loads of choice, and great portion size. Quality sandwiches at a quality price, you have to que if you go over lunch time and it gets packed out but well worth the wait. Staff are friendly and always happy to help.

I stopped here on the 4th day of a bike tour. Very hungry and saw the sandwich shop. So much choice, hot or cold sweet or savoury. I decided on a chicken mayo salad sandwich. Delicious. I also bought a rhubarb cake but asked them to keep it in the fridge while I ate my sandwich outside. Then tea and cake before getting back on the bike. It set me up for another 35 miles of cycling. Friendly and helpful staff added to the experience.

Open very early in a morning, always busy little sandwich shop with a good choice of fillings both hot and cold, also serves hot cornish pasties and sausage rolls etc. Good value and quick service.

Came here on a Saturday lunchtime and ordered a No 10 in a wrap (Chicken TIkka, Onion Bhaji, Lettuce and Mint Yoghurt) and a Sausage and Bacon Sandwich for my Partner. Safe to say we were both impressed, decent sized sandwiches and yummy to boot! The young man who served us was pleasant - and the sandwiches were great value for money. Will be coming again!

The sandwiches are good, but beware, they make more money on the Carpark by fining people for overstaying. This is spoiling their sandwich business. They wait until you disappear then put a ticket on car. This happens every day without fail. On the plus side the sandwiches are very good.

Called into the Hull shop today for a jacket potato. Shop was empty and three members of staff were stood there chatting, so I waited and waited until one of the girls looked round at me and then continued to chat to the other girls.So I left the shop and got a sandwich from else where. It was obvious I was clearly waiting to be served, and not one staff member acknowledged me. I could understand if they were busy, but they were just chatting amongst themsleves.Sandwiches may be nice but the customer service is ZERO!! Wont bother going again shall take my custom elswhere.

If you want good value and brilliant choice this is the place to head for especially if you have a big appetite as the sandwiches on offer here are certainly filling, this is the place you will find a Queue outside the doors as its only a small shop but service is quick everyone in the locality heads here for their lunch hour . So much choice , hot and cold sandwich options as well as soups hot potatoes and salad trays , don't look at the menu board for too long as you will keep changing your mind, good value for money . No boring fillings here.

Visited here first time, looked busy and always a good sign! Lady who served me had just served someone and came straight to me and asked what I'd like, I got a sausage roll and a quiche! Shocked that she picked up the good with her bare hands !! After just handling money aswell! Not one to complain I paid for the food and left! I threw the item straight into the bin! Think staff need to wash hands or wear gloves when handling food and especially after handling money! Will defiantly not be returning

Around lunchtime every weekday you will notice that everyone from nearby offices seems to flood to this place so keep that in mind if you're planning to visit. No seating from what I remember but the selection is one of the best in the city centre.

There are lots of different fillings to choose from and the sandwiches can be either served hot or cold. The bread cakes are huge. Hessle is a very interesting town. It is close to the Humber Bridge and only 5 miles from Hull.Hull is to be the City of Culture in 2017

The choice of quality sandwiches is fantastic ! The prices - very reasonable ! Sometimes there is a queue ,but the service is quick and the waiting times are negligible.

Just happend to be passing and popped in for something to eat, the selection was extensive and on purchaseing a beef salad samwiches I left, the staff were very helpful and my meal was one of the best samwiches I've had from a cafe

Large selection of sandwiches and specials. Very popular over lunch with queues out the door. Also have a shop in Hull town centre. On occasions orders buffet platters which are good value.

Prices are brilliant and food is great. Andy, the owner, is a funny guy and will always take time out to chat with you and he homecooks all the meals. Perfect place to grab a quick bite if you don't fancy chain pub frozen meals.

Range of options is nice and plenty for veggies. They so nice cakes and a meal deal too. I love the smoked applewood cheese. Only issue I have is often when it's busy they rush making your food and you don't always get to add what you want as they can't hear you very well

This place is worth a look. The range is massive, prices very low. Service fast, and they understand their customers. One complaint: All staff wear latex gloves, but don't even wipe/wash them between counting change and making sandwiches. That MUST change. Poor marks for hygiene.
