Lovely Mother’s Day lunch today and food was great. The place was packed and the staff were run off their feet. We had a little wait for our desserts but it was understandable. The only downside to our visit was the attitude of the bald headed man to the staff because he was completely rude to them. There really was no need for it as they were doing an amazing job

What a fantastic place! Lovely coffee, quite literally perfect Eggs Royale, super service and a huge Peanut Butter Rocky Road to take away! Add to that some extremely realistic pricing and you have a complete winner. We cannot speak highly enough of this great little place after just one visit. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip out for breakfast today so good! It was also brilliant to see that you could 'pay forward' for food and drinks for those less fortunate - we happily did.

Lovely place. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a gluten free toastie, chicken, chorizo and red onion, it was very good. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Proper pub feel. Just like the old times. Always a great variety of local ales on display. Glass bottles of Coca-Cola are the best. The atmosphere was very lively on Saturday night.

I’ve eaten at many self claimed “best burger house” but in my opinion the black horse serves the best burgers I’ve ever eaten! Absolutely stunning, a real gem hidden away from the masses.

Friendly staff and customers, we were made very welcome, a good choice of local real ales. A good place to start a "Amblecote triangle" pub crawl.

Just returned from having afternoon tea and can not rate this cafe highly enough. Beautiful location and view, exquisite and delicious food and attentive, friendly staff. A real gem in the heart of Shrewsbury. Will definitely be back.

Food top quality but when full the atmosphere becomes unbearably loud. Staff friendly will visit again on a weekday.

I was fortunate enough to find this little gem when visiting the area for work. Not only are the staff extremely polite and friendly, but they offer great beers to my liking, a huge pool/snooker room and overall lovely atmosphere! Whether you visit alone, with friends, as couples or even wish to take advantage of the function rooms available for a party, this place has it all. Special thanks to Mandy, great place, look forward to returning.

Very cold and unwelcoming, popped in for a quick coffee before my business meeting in the area. The dark haired lady was very cold and unwelcoming, the coffee shop itself looked quite basic and smelt like a greasy cafe which was a shame, being the only one in the village and surrounding area I would have thought it would be much more warm and welcoming, the coffee is cheap and not the best. I’m an avid coffee drinker and have coffees daily, I love to support little independent coffee shops wherever I am unfortunately not this one.
