Once again, an exceptional meal. Cooked to perfection and served by lovely staff. Favourite place to go. Highly recommend the scotch egg. Yolk always runny, as it should be. Slow cooked lamb madras was , a bit spicy, but delicious. Husband always has the cheese board and has a good selection of cheese and everything that goes with it

The food was great and the service was amazing, my family and I had a lovely time and we will be coming back! The only thing that let the experience down was, who I am guessing is the owner or the general manager was quite rude to his staff in front of us and I hope this would have improved the next time we visit as the staff were all lovely and very accommodating to us.

Visited last night for date night with the misses. Really enjoyable experience. The food quality was really exceptional as was the service. The misses is quite fussy so it’s hard to find somewhere that she likes. Really great place would return.

Not often you go for lunch and realise you should have booked, we had to last table for 2!! We could tell we were in for a good meal when they are fully booked for lunch. It had a great vibe and the menu was lovely, so much different choice and variations. The staff were very friendly and attentive. So glad we stumbled across this little village pub- Thankyou for a lovely meal!

First time visiting the Horseshoes after having a couple of family members mention how great it was. We were there for a family lunch which was amazing! I had one of the freshly made pizzas which was delicious- other people had a mix of items from the menu and all thoroughly enjoyed everything. Good portion sizes and fresh! Service was also great- friendly and relaxed. The restaurant had a really buzzy atmosphere. Could see why family members had recommended this place- will definitely be returning and also spreading the word that the Horseshoes is a must visit!

This was my second visit and terribly disappointed. I had the Beer Battered fish and it was overcooked, the batter was not golden brown but dark brown and the chips were soggy. My friends had the lamb shoulder and were also disappointed with their meals. Some of the staff were scruffily dressed and the service was awful. We ordered ice-creams and cheese board. The wait was unacceptable, and when the ice-cream arrived it had already started to melt. Obviously it had been served up and no-one could be bothered to bring it to our table. There was no butter with the cheese board. I did add a tip, as I felt pressured into doing so but only 5% and it was certainly not deserved. We will not be returning.

Went here for lunch with 3 friends, all of us were disappointed with our meals and the service . The lamb meal was not as expected , a very odd combination, more like a curry. The fish in the fish and chips meal was over cooked, dry and awful. We should have sent it back but it was one of the friends' birthday treat and we didn't want to make a fuss. I had risotto and although pleasant enough was tiny, almost the size of a starter. Considering the price and the very smoky surroundings from the fire, which was quite overwhelming, the lunch was very poor and substandard. The service was very slow and the staff who were waiting on were very scruffy and not attentive at all. None of us will be returning to this pub.

First time visiting & it will unfortunately be the last! Attended a family birthday meal & I really wasn’t impressed with the food. Had the fish & chips but left most of the fish as the batter was soggy & the fish was really bland & had no taste to it at all. I was so looking forward to my meal as I’d heard such good reviews…….but was so disappointed. There were a couple of other people in our party who had been many times before & said they’d had the fish & chips on many occasions & had always enjoyed them, but they too were disappointed with theirs on this occasion, also stating that the fish was very bland & not up to its usual standard. Other people in our party said that their food was very nice & that they’d enjoyed what they had chosen, so maybe we were just the unlucky ones on this occasion who got a bad meal. Should I ever be invited to a meal there again I'd chose something different & would probably have a lovely meal & then regret writing this review, but I have to say on this visit I really wasn’t impressed & I doubt I’ll ever return.

Lovely, traditional pub / restaurant with a cosy and bustling atmosphere. We had great food - pizza and chicken wings recommend. Service was very good, staff were knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and appeared genuine in their desire for customers to have a positive experience. Highly recommend & look forward to returning.

Tonight I ordered 3 chicken burgers from the take away menu . We were all so disappointed non of us ate any of the burger and it cost over £50 for just the 3 burgers. The burger was swimming in oil it was so greasy even the bun was dripping with oil , the chicken had tendons hanging out , it was completely inedible. I called to give feedback, no offer of any compensation, a complete waste of £50. We won’t be trying there again .

Had the chicken wings to share, have to say these were incredible. Main courses were great we had the lamb curry, monk fish, cod & pizzas Staff were so attentive and so was the lovely young bar man serving in bar who was very welcoming. Will be back for sure.

I would say in the past that this was the best place in Belbroughton to eat, however customer service has recently dropped which does impact overall experience. I have eaten here on many occasions but recently have been disappointed. Been in a couple of times & poor service, + I enjoy the takeaway pizzas which only the other day were promoted on their Facebook page, to then ring up & the Chef/manager to say close to “not doing them tonight”, they might as well remove that post & not offer them at all if on that basis. I will return as the food is great, but this element needs improvement to ensure customers are not taken for granted.

I have never had a bad meal at the Horseshoes Great atmosphere inside and out in the summer. Staff are well trained and friendly . As this was a Christmas visit we sat inside by the fire , lovely Christmas atmosphere . As I said never had a bad meal , but this was exceptional. My 2 friends had the King Prawns in Katsu Bread crumbs they said they were delicious My other friend had the salmon which was also a winner . Main course I had the Cod with prawn Vol-eu-vent which was so delicious I want to go back to have it again . My partner had the mash and Blade of beef which he also loved The other meal was the park pie and veg . Everyone enjoyed every mouthful Thank you niece again Horseshoes

Hadn't been to the Shoes for a while . Booked Sunday lunch for the 6 of us and we had a brilliant lunch. The food was better than its ever been ( and its always been good ) the added bonus of being able to add red cabbage and pigs in blankets was a real temptation and the deserts have really improved. No strange combinations of flavours but all things that work well together . My panna cotta with passion fruit was really delicious. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The roast potatoes could do with being a bit more crunchy but that's my only negative comment. Would highly recommend .

Lovely food, drink and garden. The sun was shining which helped but we had a lovely light lunch with a pint. There were larger meals available and the pizza oven looked impressive. I would have liked to stay there all afternoon.

Visited one Saturday lunchtime for a meal and found it to be a cut-above the usual pub grub and reasonably priced. Only very minor criticism was the triple-cooked chips which although fine weren't as I expected, in any case we will return.

Food and service impeccable . I had the chicken with flat bread and my friend had the fish and chips - great sized portions and beautifully tasty . Followed by the brioche bread and butter pud - absolutely delicious .The service was also great and you know when somewhere is special when the owner is happy to chat to you for 10 minutes. In the uncertain times of Covid, The Horseshoes have nailed service with social distancing. Not only was the food delicious but they managed to make the atmosphere inviting and comfortable.The screens that have had to be put up between tables have been implemented in such a way that they just blend into the background, we hardly noticed them at all!Since the last time I went, which was a long time ago, the garden has been fully renovated making it a beautiful outdoor space. It’s really modern but not too over the top. Perfect for alfresco dining or just drinks on a nice night.The staff were really friendly, helpful and polite. Judging each table differently and engaging or not with the customers based on what they picked up on from their guests.The food was incredible, I completely messed up my diet for it!!All in all, a fabulous experience that I can’t recommend enough!

We stopped by the Horseshoes for one of our first outings post-lockdown. The pub was well set up to manage social distancing and we thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming outdoor seating in the garden. Our food order was quickly brought out and set a very high standard. Our camembert starter was accompanied by a variety of breads and our mains of steak and fish & chips were excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection. We'd have loved to stayed for longer to sample the extensive drinks menu. Needless to say the cycle home was a little uncomfortable but well worth it! Thank you for having us we'd love to come back.

A great example of an unpretentious country pub run with expertise by Henry. Even during these Covid times he has been producing fantastic takeaway food, with great customer service and organisation that runs like clockwork 👏

We ordered a takeaway last night which was ready on arrival. The food was at a good temperature still hot, well presented in card boxes and tasted fresh. All was beautifully cooked and full of flavours. Ordered the slow cooked stake pie, beer battered cod & chips and a salami pizza..I would definitely order it again. Well done to the chef and staff for a superb effort.

I booked a table of 12 for a cycling group at this pub. There was a good selection of lunchtime specials and they were excellent value. The group ordered a variety of dishes and all were freshly cooked, hot and very tasty. It was difficult to find a pub in the area that was suitable for our group but here we hit the jackpot!Service was good and the interior of the pub is lovely, divided into a restaurant and bar. We plan to return.

Super little pub, lots of character and cosy atmosphere, ideal for an evening of sampling some good ale with friends or as a couple. Highly recommended.
