Lovely local pub with a warm welcome 🙏 has all you need after that long walk along the canal. Pool table, dart board. Dog friendly

This pub is one of the best pubs i have been too.absolutely fantastic place to go feel welcomed when there brilliant entertainment the people there are so lovely and especially the workers that work there. There's a woman who works in there she makes you feel so welcomed and has a right laugh. Would definitely recommend this pub.

The millrace is a great pub, with an amazing friendly atmosphere! The new owners have done amazing and there is plenty of things to do in the week and at the weekend.

Excellent village style pub with a very friendly atmosphere and a fantastic bar team lead by a dedicated landlord and landlady Would definitely recommend for a first time visit and many pleasant returns.

Great Staff that are always smiling and make you feel welcome! I always enjoy coming in here, always have a fab night on a Saturday Night at the disco karaoke. As from September 19th 2022 New Managers & Staff take over, so as from then I cannot say how Good or Bad it's going to be...Time will tell...watch this space!

Just in for a funeral wake and it was very good with a great pint of Guinness will probably stroll along the canal and call in for another one. Both girls behind the bar were very pleasant 👍

This is a lovely friendly pub! Great value for money. - We came here after my brothers funeral and michelle was so lovely and out a buffet on for us! I cant thank her enough. Also theres a really cosy open fire! 🙂

Friendly staff, better when covid restrictions over.

Went to the millrace to see family on Father’s Day, the whole time there we were nit picked at, either for kids standing up and writing on the chalk board or sitting too close (a foot away from a family member) however the worse part was at the end being warned to keep my kids away from a dog that could bite if they went close. Now in my opinion letting a dog in that could bite and has been known to bite is much worse than telling someone their kids can not stand and draw on a chalk board. I tried to speak to Michelle and tell her how she came across as the manager and she said if you don’t like it do not drink here. I will never drink there again while she is behind the bar!!! No wonder they are losing customers.

Brilliant staff, excellent service. 10/10 for adhering to social distancing and covid rules. The young lad who served us was lovely, very welcoming and laid out the rules as soon as we arrived. Great pub ran well, will definitely go back!

Worst pub in Milton by far, I would give it a miss and go the foxley which is a much better pub with a good atmosphere and good ale :)

We called with are 15 months olds and we were amazed by the social distancing in place ! Michelle and her team have it running fantastically with such easy rules to follow :) We were made to feel safe and very very welcome :)

Pleasant pub, just off the canal. Empty when we got there at12. 10 but started to fill rapidly with adults and children.

Fantastic pub, great atmosphere. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming, generally a great experience whether you like a dance at the weekend to the regular DJ on a friday or live entertainment on a saturday or a quiet drink in the beautiful beer garden on a sunny afternoon!

Moved from Manchester to stoke in January, this is my new local, staff and locals made me feel welcome from day one, great pub 👍🏼🍺

So much cheaper than the big stores. They could do with a wider range of food for vegans though. I have to go to Tesco or ASDA which costs a lot more.

Great pub which is well looked after. Staff are really happy and the drinks are a very good price. There is an outside seating area for the summer and a pool table if you want something to do! Will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visits last month (2 lunch times) as our priority was a few pints of real ale. The landlady has been introducing cask ales back in to the pub and works very hard to make you feel welcome with great service. She has two pumps with different ales rotating on one. It's only a short walk from moorings by the bridge in Milton and we used the garden as we were lucky with good sunny weather. We didn't have any food so no comment on that. The pub itself is very traditional with a couple of separate bar areas and has a good ambience, especially on a crowded Sunday lunch session with lots of locals there; the staff still keep the great service going even then. All credit to the landlady.

Happy memories back in the 70's with my lovely grandparents Beryl and Wilf Finney who used to run and live at the Millrace for a few years. I'm posting some photos and wonder if anyone remembers them. Much love Dana Kent xxx

What a lovely friendly and really clean pub. Great pint and great staff. Lovely landlady. If you are on a boat then you must stop and make a visit.

I went saturday 27th ladies night which was also a soul nite we had a fantastic time great atmosphere music was brilliant danced all night staff , was lovely, landlady lovely very welcoming .

A lovely looking pub from the outside. Went in for lunch and a pint. I went to the bar and asked for "a pint of bitter" and received a confused look! So asked for a dark beer. The young girl asked a person on my side of the bar and she offered me a taste of a darker beer. Excellent I said, I'll have a pint of that!Could I please look at your lunch menu please, I asked. We do steak and kidney pie or pizza! was the reply!OK, I'll have the steak & kidney pie please I reply.My pint is poured and I am advised that my pie will be brought to my table.15 minutes later my pie is brought to my table in a cardboard box! I gingerly look inside to find one microwave warmed up pie! The bottom is soggy and sticks to the serviette! Nothing else is served with the pie, no chips, lettuce, nothing. Just a pie in a box! Yuk!

Great atmospheric pub, landlady has turned this pub around, well worth a visit

We moored the narrowboat and walked to the pub. Friendly and welcoming pub. Great service at the bar. We ordered four pizzas which were piping hot and delicious. We couldn't eat it all so took the rest home.

This is a great old pub. Welcoming and warm.
