Great food at a great price. We come here at least once a month if not more frequently. Today our server was Ben, who was very attentive and very pleasant. Cannot fault our visit at all

Went with friends for a special night out as a treat. On arriving we were shown to our seats in the resteraunt. I commented on how noisey it was but didn't get much feedback. The poor waitress couldn't hear us when ordering so we had to shout. The food took 1 hour too arrive and when it did some extras that we ordered were 5 minutes after that. When your paying them prices you expect your food to arrive together. I had the ribeye steak which had that much fat and gristle in it. I can honestly say that by the time I'd eaten what I could I was worn out. Eating good food shouldn't be hard work. We weren't asked if the food was ok and even if we had been then we wouldn't have been able to have a conversation anyway. All in all it was terrible and we defo won't be going back again. I've had better service and food from a pub at a third of the price.

Bottomless brunch was fantastic! Chloe made sure we wanted for nothing - wonderful service and amazing cocktails! One little niggle was the food - next time we would upgrade to the main menu. Considering what you get it's more than worth it!

Cocktails tasted great but very weak. Good menu looked liked a takeaway menu.. but it actually tasted worse than a takeaway. Will never be returning. Old menu was 1000x better!

As a pub great selection.We often go for a drink.We had guests so we decided to take them for a meal.What a mistake.The roasts were good as was the chicken salad.The vegan burger however was not very nice.We arrived at 1.15 and the meal took 45 mins to arrive .which we wouldn’t have minded but we were then told we had to vacate the table at 2.30.Really awful customer service.We couldn’t even have a dessert or coffee.if they had mentioned the time restriction when we booked we could have gone elsewhere.We gave a tip before they told us we had to vacate the table .No thank you and we wished we hadn’t bothered.Embarrassing for us and our guests .

Visited yesterday and loved the laid back atmosphere. The best part was the staff members - what a beautiful, fun, bunch of people! Katie, George and another guy (absolutely gutted that I have forgotten his name but Katie and George will likely know who I mean!) - they were fantastic people. I was extremely tipsy to say the least but they were all fun, energetic, positive and professional. 5* for sure!!! Helped me pick from their yummy menu - food was great! Our whole party thought the bar staff were just legendary people. Thanks for a great night! Make sure you retain those staff members - they made the bar the happy place it is!

We were a party of eight for an 80th birthday , the service was excellent, the meals all came out together and were hot, the person who served us went above and beyond to make our experience memorable….thank you.

I attended the Newcastle Underlyme petrol station store on 10.7.24 at approx 6pm to fill my car with fuel. I was using the unleaded petrol pump which I could only press very lightly as it continuously clicked suggesting that my car was full despite the tank being empty. For this reason, it took me a while to fill my car up. I thought it was best to aim for £40 fuel as usually my car is completely full on £45 as I only drive a small Toyota Aygo. To my shock the fuel squirted out at me and covered my hands and my dress making a pool of petrol on the floor where I was stood - my car was full on £35 worth of fuel but the meter said £37. I looked at the ground and went into the kiosk to pay for the fuel explaining that the pump was clearly faulty, the mess on the floor and explaining that I would be grateful if they would only charge me for £35 and not £37 given that the pump had given me no warning and had clicked throughout and how long it had obviously taken me to fill my car up. The man behind the counter, Edward, appeared to understand this at first suggesting that I use the hand sanitizer to clean my hands - I thanked him. When returning to the desk he tried to charge me the full £37 and I asked if because of the pump being faulty and what had happened, if he could round that down to £35. Edward changed and told me that my suggestion is awful and is illegal and was very rude towards me. I found this incredibly embarrassing in front of other customers and a colleague of Edward that seemed to be a similar age to me. Edward went on to tell me that it’s a criminal offence. I then asked if I could speak to his supervisor as I found it out of order given the circumstances with how he was being and how he was adamant that I should pay the full amount. Edward rang his manager, Andy, and made out on the call to Andy that I had caused a big mess and simply wouldn’t pay for fuel. This made me feel belittled and I started to cry. He then turned to his colleague, Kyle, to ask his opinion. Kyle explained that he would’ve only charged me the £35 given that that pump is KNOWN for being faulty on smaller cars. Kyle then resolved the issue and was very caring and apologetic. Edward was incredibly rude and dismissive of me, he gave no apology, and was very quick to leave work in a rush as his shift had no ended, not caring about how he had made me feel and how upset he had visibly made me. Edward should not be in a customer facing role - this became very clear to me. Please somebody speak with Edward as this is disgusting behaviour.

We stopped at the drive thru and the service was outstanding Starbucks is Starbucks wherever you are but the service from a slim man with dark hair was u usually good

2 n half hours late and all the 'hot food' feels like it's been in a fridge

The cafe was very busy which isn’t a bad thing but the food choice is very limited if you need anything gluten free. The choice of main meals is very poor for coeliac sufferers and to say ‘but we have a lot of gluten free cakes’ doesn’t compensate for the lack of choice for warm food. Also the apparent unwillingness to improvise a little with what can be offered is really quite annoying. Come in M&S, coeliac disease is not a new thing or even a fad and a company like yours should be far more able to offer a better choice in the cafe especially at the prices you charge!!

No idea why so many odd reviews. Staff always lovely. Great place to sit and work, meet a friend or just have some peace. Excellent location off A34 as petrol station + a Subway. Between J15/15 M6 too.

Lovely little place to take the kids to let off some steam. Coffees and snacks available to buy as well and seats for the parents
