Sorry to say but a staff member named Emily was quite bitter and aggressive with the other staff, a young African woman. She was throwing cups and milk cartons across the store and she seemed extremely stressed. I waited a long time for a small coffee. Not the best experience tbh.

Awful service, most staff standing around. Cafe practically empty but all tables dirty, floor filthy. Shocking coffee tasted terrible, milk too hot made it bitter, threw it away! I suggest an Undercover Boss visit!!

No dramas with any of the order. Was slightly busier than anticipated but in the end, I had to wait for no longer than ten minutes (including initial queue and post payment). Ordered a Grande Caramel Macchiato and a Chicken / Pesto Panini - both made well and contributed to a well needed stop, on what was a long, draining journey!

Went with my partner, we got a brown sugar shaken espresso with creme cold foam, and an ice caramel mach. My shaken espresso was not made with blonde roast as it should’ve been, there was not enough ice and way too much milk it was essentially an iced latte and it just ruined the entire drink because of improper prep. My partners drink was fine, but mine was un-drinkable. Really disappointing experience as the customer service was great.

The service from the staff was excellent but the restaurant itself is old, dated and feels dirty. All the furniture needs replacing. Chairs and tables are worn and stained. I don't think I'd be stopping here again.

As they had no hot water I was directed to use the machine in Waitrose which was disgusting Cafe had chai latte with oat milk which was good on a cold damp day.

"A smile goes a long way." Was the comment I heard from everyone around me whilst waiting for our order when travelling South on the M6. When being passed my drinks with the server (Glasses and purple hair.) stating "skinny latte for Mark." I advised her my name was in fact Mike. She carried on with the other drinks in our order and continued to call me Mark. No please or thank you and definitely no smile. She is a poor advert for the Starbucks brand and would make me look for services with Costa in the future.

Slow service and made an undrinkable Chai Latte, they made it with just syrup and water, didn't try until on the road again so can't go back and complain

The young woman who served me was supercilious beyond belief. Music was so loud that communication was barely possible.

Muffin was awful. Tasted like a low fat gluten free thing. Compared to the one I had in New York this one was like a tennis ball.

Incompetent staff, down know how to run a coffee shop. Took half an hour to make an americano.avoid at all costs and go elsewhere for your coffee. Don’t waste your time here.

Really poor service from young woman barista. 16.00 25th September 2021. Wrong coffee provided, she argued about it, she said she'd have to make me another - in fact she hadn't made me my order at all - when she corrected it, it was ALL foam. Returned again. She would have known by weight that it was wrong. She was in a mood and argumentative with her colleagues and customers. Shame on you.

The barista on right now was lovely. Excellent salesmanship wrapped up in some really sweet customer service. Brilliant.

Thanks for the Christmas day coffee stop southbound services. Great coffee and pastries. Super friendly staff greeted us very early on Christmas morning. Recommended for M6.

Dreadful staff service. Took a while for staff to acknowledge us and then order taken by young woman who could barely be bothered to take it.

Fabulous service, the staff were helpful, informative and friendly. I’ve e learned that when you are a Starbucks gold member you have to tell the staff first and then you do not get charged for additional shots of coffee or syrups - the staff here understood that however the same cannot be said for other service stops on the M6, so well done Starbucks staff at Keele services. I will definitely be staying at these services in the future.

I sometimes stop at this Starbucks on my commute to university. The coffee has always been of a good standard, and extra hot. It’s not the biggest store, and can sometimes be messy with uncleared plates. I generally take mine to go.

Pulled in for a coffee. After ordering a Cappuccino and green tea and paying the 5p surcharge on the takeaway cups then realized that you can have your drinks in a ceramic mug. On asking for these to #helptheenviroment I was told they had none available as they had been to busy. #starbucks #greenwhenitsuits. Too busy, more like too lazy. Needs new management. customer is always right!!! Coffee wasn't that good either milk left funny aftertaste. Probably hadn’t cleaned machine either . Really put me off Starbucks

Can someone PLEASE tell me how a fast food outlet can possibly run out of toast at 11.30 in the morning??Staff are doing their best behind an ill equipped counter, with possibly next to no training given?We stopped for bacon sandwiches, toast with tea and coffees.No toast!!!

Uncleared tables, spilled food on the floors and seats, this place was a mess. We decided to give it a miss.I wouldn't advise anyone to eat here. Thats all i can say about it.

As usual, asked to upgrade our free lattes to ventis (large), which they agreed to do, and upgraded for free instead! Excellent service, clean and better than the northbound store at the service station

You have to allow your eyes to adjust to the light when you enter Starbucks in the northbound services at Keele, the Welcome Break outpost on the M6.It seemed like a good place to stop for a quick coffee - and the coffee was good, but quite expensive. I suppose even Starbucks has to pay high rent at a place like this.The usual range of brownies, biscuits and sandwiches.Once inside and ensconced, it's fine - your eyes adjust to the gloom (and this was on a bright day!). Maybe some people will see it as atmospheric and relaxing. I just found it gloomy.

The chocolate raspberry cake is wonderful. I am so happy to see it still on the menu at Starbucks, it’s gorgeous. This Starbucks is a lovely little place for a break from the road, very cozy and welcoming.

We have stopped here several times when going southbound. Absolutely shocking, even advertised as 24 hours open I wasn't served and grumpy women told me I have to walk on other side of motorway for get Costa coffee from machine. They must be so rich company if they not bothered to serve customer.

We stopped here en-route to Scotland. It is a lovely little coffee shop and the staff are very friendly. The coffee was also very good, but very expensive; hence only 3 stars. £6.30 for 2 flat whites??? Why? But I wanted to acknowledge the friendliness of the staff and the service, so this is why I have bothered to review this establishment.

Very poor if you are disabled or if you have food intolerances firstly there is no lift to the food court on the next floor so you can't see if you fancy anything to eat nothing for people who have food intolerances apart from biscuits in StarBucks a manager did come to see us and all he could do is offer is for me to go up to the next floor with someone and choose something for my wife in her wheelchair which is no good as she would like to choose for herself what she wants to eat. So we just left and had nothing We would not recommend anyone going here if you are disabled. We will not be returning there.

My wife and I stopped for a quick snack and paid just under £15 for two coffees and two sandwich's,although the coffee was ok,the sandwich's were terrible,they were dry,tasteless and after a couple of bites we threw them in the bin.

On route to South Wales we stopped at Starbucks Keele Services, we ordered 2 Grande Cappuccinos, they arrived very promptly but unfortunately the contents of both cups would have more than fitted into a regular size cup. Not good value for money especially at the heightened price at a motorway services.

Definitely stop at Starbucks at these services as the staff are the best ever! Jade helped me with my Starbucks card and was extremely friendly as was Tony who carried our tray to the table, what service - an ever ready smile and efficient service. What more can one ask for, thank you Jade and Tony.

Maybe I've been spoilt with good Costa coffees, but I stop here on my commute several times a week and used to always resort to this for my caffeine fix. For a time it was the only place I could get a real coffee, so I put up with the foul excuse for coffee. It's so bad I now drink McDonalds coffee on this route if I really have to...

We used to think Starbucks coffee was awful but have recently been converted to being fans . Our espressos here were excellent as were our toasted sandwiches (one ham and cheese, one just cheese) and a blueberry muffin.

I regularly stop at Keele Services for breakfast and love the new food choices that Starbucks have developed. It is so refreshing not to be faced with just carbs, carbs, carbs........well done and keep up the good work!

Great for a drink and small snack.

We stopped here for coffee whilst on a trip to the coast. Whilst this coffee shop is pretty clean & modern, the service is slow beyond belief, despite having the cast of Ben Hurr serving! The prices are shocking too! £6.60 for 2 small coffees in cardboard cups!

Visited twice this month, I was impressed to see a drive thru as it's been a while since I've stopped on this motorway. It was always something which I thought would be very useful. On my second visit , thinking back it's a mistake I've made previously , they don't open early enough, the drive thru, the store inside on southbound and also the northbound as I took the bridge in search of my latte, I shouted over to a staff member in the southbound smaller store as they were cleaning with the shutter half way down, to ask what time they open, she replied 6 , half 6. As it was 5:30am and I'd already been driving for an hour I realised I should have gone to the 24hr drive thru in Trafford park before setting off this morning. It's a mistake I've made several times, choosing to get started on my journey before picking up a coffee rather than going out of my way first which would only increase my journey length and time. It's made more annoying by the fact that there is no other Starbucks for the remainder of my journey and I refuse to drink costa which so many services offer. It's also very annoying to see the staff are in but not serving coffee, do not appear to have an official opening time despite online says 24/7 on several websites. Also all of the signs for the drive thru are lit up but it's actually closed. What are overnight commuters supposed to do? I'm tempted to wait until 6am but what if they decide to open later! Then I will be really annoyed.

Breakfast beckoned whilst on my way to a meeting. Starbucks was probably the most popular of several places to eat at Keele services. Nothing special. Typical Starbucks. Friendly staff made for a nice Pitt stop.

The staff were polite, helpful and friendly, the coffee was good, however the sausages were the consistency and taste of (I imagine) minced cardboard (dreadful).

My husband and I stopped here for a break the hot chocolate I had was the best I have had for a very long time. The hot paninis were very tasty. All of the staff were very friendly polite and kept the place clean. Thank you for such good service.

Not usually a fan of Starbucks coffee but I did like the latte I got from here.They do do a great breakfast though. Love their ham and cheese croissants.Only problem with this cafe is that it's surrounded by windows making it very chilly.

Shocking price for a Latte. 1 tea and 2 hot drinks came to £9.95 Shocking. The area was clean, warm and spacious, staff run of the mill for that type of establishment.

Starbucks is a convenient place to stop for a break and a coffee during the drive from Liverpool to London. The café was clean although there was a lot of the previous patron's cups and plates scattered around many of the tables. My wife and I found a clear table and enjoyed our very good coffees. The staff were very busy although they still had the time to be polite and courteous toward us. The cost of our coffee was higher than we had expected to pay. The café is what it is, a very good roadside café serving great coffee. There is plenty of free car parking space available close to the café.

Have just stopped here on way to Liverpool didn't want takeaway coffees as prefer a proper cup , when being served was told they had no clean cups !its a small cafe and there were four people behind counter couldn't one of them be washing the cups !!! And the worst thing was there was a large number of flies behind the counter and throughout the place landing on everything -quite frankly it was disgusting !! Felt I had to write this review straightaway .

Visited today following long drive and the place is filthy there are flies everywhere and floor needs a good brushing

It is a standard Starbucks with both north and south bound outlets having just been refreshed. Sadly the staff don't really listen to your order and I have had to return my drink a few times. Examples would be if I ask for plenty of room for milk, my tea arrives with me filled to the brim. I ordered a chocolate with no cream and they put cream on it. When I mentioned this the response I got was "have it for free, we didn't charge you for the cream".

I did not share the experience of other recent reviewers who had a very bad time here. The coffee was good - up to the usual Starbucks taste and quality. It is not cheap but no different from other 'good' coffee chains. Staff were helpful and smiled. There was quite a lot of debris lying around from previous customers (who could have helped clear their things away!) but surely this is inevitable in an extremely busy motorway coffee stop. For me it was an 'average' Starbucks experience but certainly not poor.

Visited Keele services and after waiting a ridiculous amount of time for 2 coffees and cookies. We brought to the attention of staff politely that they need to perhaps store cookies away from cheese products. The White choc cookie smells strongly of cheese. Staff just ignored and argued it didn't without smelling.. Didn't want money back just for their information. Manager with dark hair was rude and dismissive.

Against my better judgement I decided to have a coffee at Keele Services southbound and its worth noting this was the sit in Starbucks not the drive through. As I waited for my extra hot latte, staying in, I noticed the large number of flies in the preparation area and the absence of an insectocutor. I counted about 2 or 3 on each of the 8 spot lamps and quite a few more on the ceiling tiles too. My drink arrived and I noticed the mug was dirty, not just overspill as you often get, but lipstick and other stains all over the outside of the cup. I asked for the drink to be replaced because the mug was filthy. The employee stated well it's a bit dirty but not filthy, to which I replied that nonetheless I would like a fresh, clean cup please. She poured my existing drunk in to a different cup and slid it over the counter top. I just looked at her and requested a Fresh drink in a Fresh clean cup thanks. Not a good experience!

It was late at night, there was nothing else open, so I went to Starbucks, it was as I expected - plastic food & insipid coffee. It is good to note the consistency Starbucks are just as bad wherever they are or at whatever time you visit.

Don't usually write reviews about Starbucks etc but credit were its due to the lovely staff that work here! Refreshingly unusual

All I wanted was an americano... I waited 5 minutes to be served by 1 of three people, then 20 minutes for the actual coffee! Seriously some common sense is needed here! 3 people serving, asking what people want and taking payments and just ONE person making the actual coffee? Even that one person was clearly taking her time and could't get it right! Another girl was filling up the sandwiches and a guy who just flitted around looking like he was doing nothing.There were about 10 people waiting for coffee, it was absolutely infuriating. Don't bother - try another service station.

How can it be so difficult to make coffee? While stood in the queue each of the 5 staff behind the counter seemed to have a go at each job. One person only making the coffee, but they changed over several times, and often seemed more interested in talking to the other staff, telling them what they should be doing than doing the job in hand - MAKING COFFEE!

12 minutes is too long to wait in this fast world and no apology they have opened another at this site so less staff ststaff

For those regular travellers up and down the motorway network this is a great place to take a break mid-way between Manchester & Birmingham. Forget the lattes and all the barista brews, just go for the Grande Filter. It tastes great and will save you at least £1 on the others plus lower calories.

Starbucks is Starbucks.......very overpriced as usual, but nice for a treat.......I quite like coffee flavoured coffee myself.......but you can have any flavour you want at this place.

We visited at 0730 on a quiet Saturday morning. First of all the service: surly, disinterested, verging on downright rude. Had there been an alternative, we'd have walked out there and then.Next the cleanliness. Or, rather, the total lack of it. The tables were sticky and covered with cups and litter. The floor was filthy throughout the cafe, with old napkins, bits of food and other debris everywhere. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days. I spend a huge amount of money annually in Starbucks around the country and this experience tells me that it's a company that wants our money but couldn't care less about anything else. Unusually, I actually felt quite cross and irritated on leaving this cafe, and feeling a bit of a mug for just handing them £16. Never again.

This place just has to have the most severe bad service award of any place on the Motorway, from beginning to end they displat bad manners and the most awful food hygiene practises. Fingers inside your cup to carry it, at least 3 members of staff moved my cup and each one put their fingers inside, the cake was not kept refridgerated and arrived looking like a screwe3d up mess, I paid £3.30 for the lump, the hot choco;late at £3.40 was lukewarm, why didn't I go and complain, I have a feeling it would have been tipped over my head and the cake thrown in my face.I know they were busy, but it goes with the job, they desperately need food hygiene training and a smile might help.I'll not stop at another Starbucks, they should leve the spot and lets Costa's open up.
