Went here today with 2 friends all had lunch and drinks ,can't fault it it was absolutely lovely 👍👍👍👍👍

This pub is currently closed, possibly due to renovation? It's not boarded up, by there are barriers all-round and the car park is unacceptable

Smart pub, I didn't have anything to eat but the lads like the food and their drinks. As a ale drinker the beers on offer at the time were not my cup of tea, but I found something else instead.

Great vibe, decent prices, entertainment with kareoke and dart board. Lots of parking and beer garden. Great place

Christine got an attitude problem. And she needs to take a chill pill. Giving me grief for ordering 2 pints of Guinness when she’s about to clock off.

We went for a works Christmas meal .. I can't fault it the food was absolutely beautiful brilliant atmosphere brilliant bar staff polite and friendly.

Poor quality drinks. Flat cola....other customers were complaining too.

Called in there last Saturday afternoon had a few beers with the wife sat with a couple we knew from school brilliant afternoon.

During a trip back to the UK to visit family, my husband and his sisters wanted to actually see the inside of this pub, which they'd only visited as children, when they were confined to the gardens or the car, with the placatory lemonade and crisps...something quite common, way back in the 50's! What a pleasant surprise, it was, too. Evidently, established in the 1860's, it has retained its original wood carving and stained glass around the bar.....a refreshing change from so many modern, characterless places, these days. Having enjoyed a friendly welcome and a quiet drink during the afternoon and having been pleasantly surprised by the menu, we booked a table for dinner the same evening. Again, we were not disappointed. As vegetarians, we were impressed with the options available and all four meals were well cooked, attractively presented and all served at the same time. They served a very good house wine and all prices were extremely reasonable. In fact, the whole experience was far superior to the evening we'd spent at a hotel in a supposedly more 'upmarket' area, two nights before. Obviously, it's unlikely that we will be returning, until perhaps next year, but the rest of the family certainly intends to.

Nice friendly staff beer ok not bad at all

Having worked in hospitality most of my working life I was very disappointed with the service and quality of food. We were put in the back cold room although there was a fire in the corner of the room which was not throwing out much heat at all unless you were sittin on top of it, there was no atmosphere in there like music so we had to ask for this to be turned on, we then received our food which some of them were cold or just warm as they were served on freezing cold plates which is a no no, most if not all that was served was frozen food and quite frankly not very tasty , a rough estimate on what was spent there would be around £500 on the night as it was £24 per head for 3 course and £16 just for the main course. Quite frankly for the quality of food and service we received I find the price extortionate in all my years of catering for thousands of Xmas parties I would have been out of business for giving such bad service and poor cheap quality food.it goes without saying I would not be returning to this pub again.

Booked a party of 17 put in function room freeze cold had to ask have music on, place smelt of dirty carpets and stale beer ordered drinks at bar £5 min charge on card. Food came out 3 chicken strips floppy rocket 1 little tomatoes cut in half. Main course cold plates frozen veg & potatoes hard dish water gravy had to be send a few back to be warmed up came back still not hot. Sweet frozen Christmas pud tasteless, pofitoroles chocolate drizzle on top squirty cream. Absolutely shocking experience and would never return or recommend

This is a lovely country pub staff are friendly, reasonable priced and children's play area athe back garden

One of the rudest people I have ever met. Dirty looks and sly comments. Male member of staff obviously drunk, playing pool, swearing at the customers, serving himself. Toilets full of frequent drug users.

Staff were helpful and friendly, the burger was absolutely delicious.

Have called a number of occasions and always been pleased. This time, unfortunately, I ordered the “ Large beer battered cod “. It bore a very close resemblance to those horrible, cheap cook in the oven variety. It was not freshly fried ! Although I shall return, I will steer well clear of the fish !

Years since visited and was pleased with this public house. Not many people in the lounge when first entered but it did get busy later. Staff were very polite and courteous so would definitely visit again when visiting my brother

We visited this establishment with a view to having Sunday lunch. I ordered a second pint of bitter, price £3.60, and was told there was a £5 minimum for card payment: there was nothing displayed with such information. My first thought was to say we wished to eat, and add food to the bill, but then this was behaviour I was not willing to accept. I ordered something small to take us to the minimum, finished our drinks and walked out. They lost the value of our food order, plus future business we might have given them. There's no room for this sort of penny-pinching in these times, when folk expect good service and value for their hard-earned money.

Called in for lunch after not going for a couple of years. The food was hot, tasty and the portion size, bigger than normal. Good selection of dishes and specials to suit all tastes. Will definitely be going back again.

Nice atmosphere, beautiful gardens and a decent pint .

Nothing to write home about. An ok pub ....won't be in a rush to go back. There are plenty of other choices with a better atmosphere and cheaper better choice of ales.

Decent prices for a good pint and great home cooked food. Lovely service from the staff as well and very friendly. Will be back to try more from the menu!!

Been twice and both times food was amazing, kids food and kids food size was amazing too, play area was safe and the kids enjoyed it.

Ordered chicken curry rice and naan bread £7.95, the naan was nice, chicken was covered in a tin of chopped tomatoes then pieces of chicken stirred in,arrived at the table with tomato juice dripping over side of the plate, I wish I had taken a picture as when I complained I was told that it definitely wasn't tinned tomatoes, got refunded £4.00 but still not very professional to argue with the customer, won't be recommending or using the bush silverdale again, 1 out of 10 for service

We had our wedding reception here yesterday, this place exceeded our expectations, beautifully presented pub, the buffet we had really was fantastic, real good quality and super fresh. The atmosphere was brilliant a bit music and a karaoke (for those who endulge) combined with good company and absolutely fantastic service made our special day extra special. Its been a long time since I have experienced such great hospitality. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate something you won't go wrong here.

I ordered steak n kidney pie chips n peas. The chips were crispy golden brown and the pie came in a dish with puffed pastry. The peas were perfect green n really tasty. This was the best pie n chips I'd had for years. It's so hard find places that cook food like this nowadays.

Beautiful pub in the heart of Silverdale. Had multiple visits and the staff and landlady are always welcoming and polite. Food is very nice and can tell it’s homemade, service is great. Would recommend to anyone.

Very rude landlady. Honestly the worst attitude I've ever come across. Follows you around the pub - not even joking! Doesn't have any manners whatsoever. Drinks were decent, just a shame about the crap attitude from the landlady. If you fancy a pint with a side of grief, this is the place for you!

Came here for a farewell drink for a family friend leaving on a trip around Europe. Great food and drinks, and we listened to the karaoke, which was fun in it's own right!

We visited The Bush for the first time last night and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was jubilant and the staff superb. Very accomodating and welcoming. Sank a couple of drinks at a reasonable price and the selection was mighty fine. Enjoyed a few games of pool for 50p a time and these games were accompanied with a good soundtrack in the background. We live locally and the consensus was that we will be back!

Best pub in Silverdale by far, has everything - lovely staff, cosy atmosphere, always welcoming, beautiful garden, great food (always great service), bangin jukebox. I usually get the hot wings with chips in a basket which is delicious and great value. Will keep coming back here again and again

I’m a regular customer and keep coming back as the staff are lovely and the beer is always cold and spot on. The bar is always lively but always friendly and welcoming, and the lounge is quieter but family friendly.

Called in after having a walk round Silverdale Country park, the pub was empty and we had our dog with us but we were allowed to walk through the pub out to the beer garden. Drinks (shandy’s) were well received with a bowl of water for the dog. We ordered the hot pot and had coronation chicken in a baguette with a bowl of chips on the side everything was very tasty we will definitely be returning.

We visited today and had a very good meal to be honest and would have left a decent tip until we witnessed a member of staff totally out of order with a young family.Whoever employs the staff needs to know that they have employed an individual who has caused distress to what appears to not only be a young family but a pregnant woman?Our children played with theirs in the family play area and they had the most lovely dog which I shared some of my crisps with.However a lovely afternoon turned sour when a member of staff who might or might not have been the landlord became very sour with the family and told them not to return unless the dog was muzzled and on a lease or better still left at home on any future visit.From where we sat, there was not a single reason to be so abusive and nasty to a paying customer.I hope the staffing issues can be resolved as this really is a lovely place to visit.Mind you if that was the landlord, then perhaps avoid at all costs - there are so many other places to eat and have a nice family day out

Read lots of reviews recently claiming the food was fantastic & although quite a while ago we had a couple of burgers that were awful we thought perhaps they had improved so decided to try it again but unfortunately we were extremely disappointed & won't be giving it another chance!Their 'Gourmet' burgers are large, tasteless & greasy which left my partner feeling sick & with awful indigestion. My cousin had a 'Pie' which stated it was homemade but we are of the opinion that a pie should be something encased in pastry not just a flaky pastry top with a half filled dish of dried up meat.Don't get me wrong I love the pub & the service is great, atmosphere good & drinks are nice if a little expensive for a village establishment but the food really isn't the best & we won't be eating there again, sorry!

This pub is quite simply the best pub in Silverdale, A Great choice of well kept Beer with three cask ales on tap, a selection of gins and malts. the food is excellent and reasonably priced, i heartily recommend the gourmet burgers. The staff are always friendly even when rushed off their feet. In the spring and summer the beer garden and children's play area are one of the best places i know of to spend a lazy day with a chilled beer the place has always had a welcoming atmosphere. I threw my 40th birthday here - great catering and they couldn't do enough for me.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. Staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. Garden is the best in the area and offer a great range of drinks. Food is clearly homemade and sunday dinners are gorgeous. Love the wood fire!

Lousy ignorant and the miserable

Had wedding venue here extremely disappointed. Back room was cold and smells like mould.paid 240.00 for catering and only got sandwiches. Quiche sausage rolls absolutely disgusting. Not able to have a choice what was on buffet. Extremely embarrassing for us as we had over 40 guests.

Pleasant establishment. Quiet and friendly. Good food at very reasonable prices,good selection of ales and occasionally there are some nice chests behind the bar. Which is a boon for us all. Just the ticket.

Went for a wake after a funeral but it was a lovely pub great atmosphere and they do some fabulous home cooked meals at really good prices good for all the family and nice to just chill.. they even offer great entertainment when we went they had a karaoke

Great food, great service, very friendly staff. One of the best meals I have had in an eating establishment. With being both vegetarian and gluten free, it is always difficult to find a suitable dish but the staff were very understanding and accommodating for my dietary needs. I have gone back several times since and they always remember me and they always make the extra effort to be welcoming and sociable.

Awful in every way. Overpriced, overcooked yet cold, packet food with shocking service and the atmosphere of a morgue. Just terrible. Needs new management, badly - the current staff don't give a toss.
