Good quality 50 day aged rump steak which was cooked to perfection! Our server Kelly was lovely and attentive. Can highly recommend the bone marrow bernaise sauce, very delicious. The wine menu was extensive also.

My husband said I could have whatever I wanted as it was our 15th wedding anniversary. I asked for a medium well done fillet. It came almost raw. I sent it back and the photo shows how it came back. I couldn’t eat it, the waitress asked if I wanted to send it back again. My stomach was churning by then, so I refused and gave it to my husband. I was offered a free pudding, don’t feel that was good enough. I felt really upset and disappointed as we were given a voucher by our son, it was our anniversary and it was totally spoilt

Booked in early so not too busy had time for a drink at the bar great service. After being seated more drinks arrived quickly and Cait was great taking the order.Food was lovely excellent all round experience.

This was my first Miller and Carter experience, and will most probably be my last, I found my steak was like chewing leather, for the price of the food I was very disappointed.

We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and they were so amazing and accommodating. I had asked for a quiet corner in the booking and that’s exactly what we got . Amanda served us and she was so amazing and went above and beyond to take good care of us. The food was so great . The steak comes with onion loaf and the lettuce wedge and a side which is so great and the meat is so well seasoned we really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend it .

Definitely not what it was. Firstly don’t bother when booking making any requests. I week before our visit I requested - a quiet location in the restaurant - we got seated in a “corridor” leading to the restaurant which was a busy thoroughfare for both staff and customers. So no pre-empting people’s requests at all takes place because she read it out when we arrived to her colleague who then decided where we sat. We were asked about drinks as we sat down and when asked if they did any “proper beer” was told only from a bottle. Not everyone likes lager. The food was just average. I must have had the smallest piece of cod which was over cooked and quite tough. My husband had steak which was full of gristle. However no one actually asked how our meal was or if we had enjoyed it. On a plus side the sweets were the best bit of the meal. But as soon as we had finished the sweets, we were presented with the bill, without even being asked and then we felt quite rushed to pay and leave the table. On another subject we saw underaged drinking going on outside by a mixed age group of teenagers. Very disappointed.

Last minute extra birthday dinner for my 10yr old grandson. Fantastic chap Scott made it feel very special thankyou will definitely call again as food excellent even mine ( being the odd vegetarian one ) the pie was delicious.

The food was excellent, but it was Autumn’s outstanding service that truly elevated the whole experience.

Went for a birthday celebration food on par with other Miller and Carters. The service from Autumn and the team was super. The decor could do with an update as this was tired compared to other M&C’s and there was no enforcement of the dress code.

First of all we were greeted by a friendly gentleman that took us to our table who was very helpful in keeping an eye out for a member of our party who was running late. Then our server Scott who was also really friendly has the ability to have a laugh and a joke while maintaining professionalism! The food was amazing none of us had any complaints. Will be returning again in the near future.

I consider myself a bit of a foodie, componctous of the details. As soon as I tucked into their Michelin- starred meal: I was sure I will polishing off this food art. It was just as tasty good, as mouthwatering looked. Stuff found to be super duper kind and helpful, they saved the day twice.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miller and Carter, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly our waitress, Millie. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. Millie’s recommendations were spot on, and she made sure our glasses were never empty. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The steaks, in particular, were some of the best I’ve ever had. Millie’s excellent service truly made the evening special, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

I fell out with Miller and Carter after a poor experience down south in one of their Bedford branches. Came up North for a visit to Alton Towers for an anniversary with my partner, and thought I’d give it another go!!! So pleased I did, the steaks were excellent, well cooked and seasoned to perfection - the pork belly starter was actually insane. Our waitress Autumn was excellent, down-to-earth and extremely good to us - which made our experience so much more enjoyable. I may not be going to another Miller & Carter around my area, but if I ever find myself near this one, I’ll definitely be back!!!

Booked a table for 7pm and we were still waiting for food at 8.20pm. Food was good, but drinks are expensive.

Steaks weren't quite cooked as requested, however was rectified with starter and drinks being removed from bill. Thank you to our server Autumn.

Me and my family came to celebrate my step dads birthday, we are served by autumn who was very helpful, chatty and polite. we enjoyed 3 mains with a few sides, each dish was delightful.

Went to Miller and Carter on mother’s day and was served by Autumn. Although food wasn’t the best, autumn was lovely and assisted in any way she could. She is a credit to your company and should be treated as such. Will be returning again soon for a birthday meal and hope autumn will be there so serve us again

The food was very mediocre considering the prices. The service was ok but just that! The most disappointing part was the venue, I found it to be run down and lacked any opulence. It was very aesthetically displeasing. Dirty carpets and upholstery with chipped worn down tables. Looked nice from the outside that's about it.

Came for mums birthday meal, we were a group of 7 and our table was ready and available upon arrival. Millie was very attentive and took our drinks order straight away. Drinks came where we ordered our food which when arrived all the food was cooked to perfection and we all thoroughly enjoyed. 2nd round of drinks ordered plus puddings which rounded off a great evening. I don't like to leave negative reviews but unfortunately my tables experience was pretty poor on our visit. The table was booked for 19:45pm 3 of the guests arrived and were seated at 19:30pm and ordered their drinks the remaining guests arrived at 19:40pm and ordered drinks but everyone's drinks finally got to the table at 19:55pm this set the tone for the night we felt rushed when our order was taken and after that our table seemed forgotten about during service we were at the restaurant until 22:20pm and only once were we asked if we'd like any more drinks after arrival. The starters the 2 orders of hot honey chicken wings were both missing the hot honey and the scallops & pork belly was laughable 2 scallops was fair for the price but the 2 thin slices of pork belly wasn't even close with my friend who ordered it joking "where's my starter". With the mains my 16oz ribeye came extra rare when I ordered medium-rare the re-fire was pretty fast and the cook on the steak was much better. A friend had verbally ordered the cote de boeuf and when it came we thought it looks rather small for 28oz and after a few days of deliberation we checked with the person who had a picture of the receipt that he was actually given the chateaubriand thankfully the price is the same but the mistake itself shouldn't of happened in the first place. The desserts were fine except when we were given a dessert menu then didn't get the order taken for an additional 30 minutes which was very disappointing. A friend had also called in advance to add another guest and to have a happy birthday message written on one of the desserts as we were celebrating my birthday which was also missing on the night. For the amount we spent on the experience we had the service was extremely lacking and really put a dampener on what was supposed to be a nice night out.

First of all our server/waitress was Millie, who in our opinion was an absolute natural, managing to deliver exceptional service, managing to speak to us like we had known her for ages!! She wasn’t telling us what she thought we wanted to hear, just absolute truth whilst remaining so professional. I work within a similar trade and wouldn’t hesitate to offer her a job!! The food, was beyond amazing!! Full credit to those chefs because I think I just had the best fillet steak I ever had in my 48 years!!! Thank you!!! Plz Management can you acknowledge Millie and the chef on duty tonight, they are a credit to your business!! We will be back very soon!
