We had a lovely family meal on what was a very busy evening. We were interrupted by a young couple at the door that were swearing at the manageress at the door for quite some time and they refused to leave. The manageress in question then came to the surrounding tables afterwards and apologised for any disturbance, which we thought was a nice touch and a true reflection of hospitality.

Staff were amazing. Very polite and couldn’t do enough for you. Drinks are a bit pricey but food is well worth the money. Room could be warmer as this is the 3rd time this winter that we have visited and I’ve had to wear my coat to eat. Ellie was our waitress and was very welcoming

Booked a table and the host was extremely rude. Made numerous tables wait 20 minutes plus as their disorganisation was disgraceful. I’m assuming it’s the manager as she said it’s her name on the business she was extremely rude, threatened to kick us out all due to asking when our table would be ready.

Emmie our host was great an absolute credit to the company. Made her aware of my allergies and she dealt with it correctly and informed Simon to serve us who also went above and beyond to make our experience great. Two great workers and an absolute privilege to have met them and had them last night

First time we had visited for quite a while, had 2 course lunch menu and really enjoyed our meal, not too busy and service was very good, hoping to visit again for an evening meal soon 😀.

The staff were all super attentive and polite, and all greeted us with a smile. Food was delivered quickly and piping hot.

We attended M&C Talke this evening off the cuff. The service was seamless, we weren't waiting long for drinks, starters, mains or desserts. Our steaks were cooked to everyone's preferences and there wasn't one complaint from us. Our server Emmie was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was very efficient with bringing extra drinks over. She was fantastic!!

We attended to celebrate a birthday. There is an advertised lunch menu online but not when you arrive, there is a rare treats menu that starts at two courses for £24.95. The meal was rushed, no rest between courses and although the restaurant wasn't full the bill was brought to us before we asked for it and the waiter came to ask us twice if we were ready to pay it! Not a great experience and the food was mediocre!

Incredible food and fantastic service. The food and drink is pricey (£120 for two people, starters, mains and two drinks) but it is absolutely incredible and easily the best steak I've ever had. 10/10 highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, especially the couple next to us who complained about their fries not being cooked well enough and in the meantime spiced their aoft drink with a bottle they bought from home. But honestly, food is great along with the presentation and the vibe is class with dark interior. We will definitely come back again.

Been here for lunch today extremely disappointed no Sunday roast, didn’t get served what we ordered, had to wait an hour for replacement and the front of house was very rude ……

Lovely birthday meal food excellent and service second to none

received some vouchers for Christmas and thought it was about time for some steak.... you carnt beat the ribeye here and my partner had a fillet... all cooked to perfection. The service was superb. Ordered quickly and did not have to wait too long for the starter to arrive followed shortly by the mains..... and then pudding...... hmmm banoffee pie....😋. codes off the vouchers were taken efficiently and the balance was presented soon after. cannot fault the meal and service in any way at all. Well done.

Autumn was our server tonight and she was very attentive and polite and we could not fault her in any way. It feels that since Covid the food isn’t at the same standard it was previously at both Talke and M&C in Crewe which is a shame, but you can always rely on excellent customer service from the front of house team.

I recently had the pleasure of being served by Emmie while visiting, I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had for a long time. From the moment I was greeted, Emmie’s warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Her attentiveness and professionalism was exceptional and she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring that our drinks were always full and our table perfectly maintained. What stood out the most was her genuine kindness. She created such a welcoming atmosphere that we felt like valued guests, not just customers. I left feeling not just satisfied with the food and restaurant but truly cared for as a guest. If you’re lucky enough to have Emmie as your server, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Spent some Christmas vouchers on a family meal for eight. Very organised and polite staff. We were shown to our table and left to peruse the menu. After ordering, the meals arrived at the same time so there was no lag between people being served. My wife and I had the 12oz ribeye steak, medium which was cooked to perfection. The waiter was attentive and very helpful making it a pleasant experience all round. Good to catch up with friends and family we don't often get the chance to see in relaxed, ambient surroundings.

The lady at the entry was quiet dismissive. We were like 5 minutes early. She rudely told us without even looking to go away and come back when our time is right. That already set our mood for our dinner. The service was average except from one waiter who wasn't serving us directly. A tap water took over 15 minutes. And then our other drink too. Cutlery arrived after food. The table next to us who came later got their starter before us even though it was the same as we ordered.the food quality was under avarage.Not worth the price or time. The whole service we had, we had to chase the waiter for everything many times. We were just left there in the corner non existent. Really bad experience. Will not be back.

As always, a wonderful meal. Great service, comfortable and warm. The best creme brulee I've ever eaten. Always attentive to requests. Our go to from now on.

Autumn was probably the best host we have had since visiting. Nothing too much trouble was chatty bubbly and made our experience 10 times better. We've had a lovely meal which was excellent value feom the treat menu. Food and drinks were well presented and very tasty. We received excellent service from our waitress, Autumn, who was very efficient, helpful and provided a professional service with a smile. I was particularly impressed when one of our party pronounced a word incorrectly when she was taking our order. However, Autumn reassured us that it was a common mistake and, whilst pronouncing the word correctly, made us feel at ease. What a pleasure it was to meet such a helpful and pleasant member of your staff. We were (quietly) celebrating our silver wedding anniversary (although nobody was aware of this) and I feel that we couldn't have been treated any more nicely by Autumn had she have known it was a special meal for us. So thank you, we will definitely recommend and return.

I've visited this place a few times over the years, and it has never disappointed. The food is consistently spot on, with the tiramisu being an absolute standout – highly recommend it! I also want to give a special mention to our server, Emmie. She was incredibly efficient, friendly, and engaging, going above and beyond not just for us but for everyone around us. The Service was Brilliant. Food was Excellant. Improvements could be made on the Staffing Levels. During the time we were there the Bar Area was left unattended for a long period of time. We weren't asked if we wanted more drinks at any time, so I went to the Bar to ask for drinks. Having said all of the above, we live the place.

Treated to dinner by my son who came up from London. Lovely atmosphere, food took a while to arrive but it was worth the wait. Will most definitely go again.

My partner and I visited Miller and Carter Talke for lunch on Christmas Day and enjoyed our experience. We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager Rachael and introduced to our waitress Emmie who looked after us well! We both opted for the king prawns as our starters and the turkey as our main. Both were delicious. For desserts we opted for the traditional Christmas pudding and the apple tart which rounded off the meal well. With a good selection of wines and a lovely ambiance I would highly recommend.

We went for Christmas lunch and were busy as always. The staff are always friendly but service was a bit slow. The starters are pretty average as a rule with overcooked chicken and ok prawns. The steak is always nice and I love the onion things you get. The menu on how to order is a bit confusing for people and heard this a lot. We all thought for the money it didn’t blow us away. They also tried to charge us £40 service charge for poor service which isn’t good (we didn’t pay that). With some tweaks this could be amazing but falls short and been twice now and both times the same.

Came for an early Boxing Day tea with the family, service was brilliant and received a very warm welcome. Steak was cooked just how I like it and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely come back.

We visited M&C Talke on Saturday 28th December. When we arrived it was very busy but the ladies on the host station were very friendly and inviting. Our table wasn't quite ready and were asked to visit the bar to get drinks and wait for our table. We both chose a cocktail from the festive drinks section and these were made fresh by the bar team. We were approached by the host to advise our table was ready, we were sat in the older part of the building which was absolutely stunning. We placed our orders and waited for our food, we asked our waitress for another round of drinks, these were delivered with 5 minutes, our food was delivered, about 15 minutes later, it was piping hot and so tasty. All in all a very lovely evening, with knowledgeable staff who clearly enjoy what they do. Thank you to Rachael and her team for making our evening so enjoyable

Christmas dinner 2024 at Miller and Carter fell way short of my expectations. No complimentary drink on arrival or even a chocolate mint with the bill. Based on other Christmas dinner I’ve had at a lesser cost, I thought was really poor considering it’s circ £100 per head. No Christmas music. We asked to put nearer the door as my uncle has walking sticks to then be seated at the furthest back end of the pub, up and over steps etc. For a £100 dinner package you would expect coffees at the end of the meal or a complimentary drink on arrival or even the choice of either. Miller you completely missed a trick. There was nothing special about my Christmas dinner at all and if anything it was really rushed. Really disappointed. That said the staff were amazing and my steak was lovely. Seemed like senior management completely cut corners to save a Bob or two. We mention this to staff, and without us asking they sent the manager over to us, who was grateful for the feedback and offered us free coffees. We declined the coffees as we were just too hot and just wanted to come out. All in all £500 lighter between 4 of us and we were not impressed. There wasn’t even any sparkle in the Bellini’s. Just a chocolate with a cocktail stick shoved threw it.

Very disappointed with this Miller and Carter, Had some superb experiences at M&C around the country but this one was disappointing, The welcome was a bit frosty by the young man at the reception area,he showed us to our table and said we would have a waitress, Can’t remember the waitresses name but she wasn’t the friendliest we have had and as she was described as a steak expert she did not once explain the steaks or menu, Our starters were nice,the Chipotle chicken and garlic breads were good hence why a 2 rating instead of 1, The steaks were terrible,my wife’s was unchewable,mine was well overcooked, The chips with them were again overcooked and should have been thrown in the bin and fresh ones cooked, All in all a very poor experience,we will not be returning to this Miller and Carter.

Very let down by my Boxing day experience. Due to limited dessert choices and the chef's recommended tiramisu not being available I stuck with the standard ala carte menu, where additionally the same steak is £10.20 cheaper. No great hygiene standards observed in the kitchen and the lady at the pass who also seemed to not recognise she could be overheard. Shrugs of shoulders to customer feedback should be out of view. Allergen flags left in dishes and long wait between starters and menu was impressive. Looking for an alternative for next year as Miller and Carter Talke, is declining in standards and experience.

Been miller and carter a fair few times never ever had a problem with the food. I went today with my partner, asked for medium rare & the steak came out really rare, then came out well done. Then to top it off the third time round the 2nd steak as it was a platter was really rare again.. at this point we gave up. Not one to leave these kind of reviews but when you pay £100+ for a meal then you expect it to be done how you asked the first time not 3 times to still be wrong.
