Have eaten here numerous times recently Gavin and Micheal have totally turned this pub around. Food was delicious food portions are good food quality brill fully recommend 👌

Absolutely delicious the pancakes and waffles are just amazing. Try the almond and banana ones... ooh so tasty. Well worth a trip to Cafe 5.

He estado aquí varias veces, pero principalmente para tomar algo después del trabajo. Pensé que sería bueno probar la comida. Nos asignaron una mesa que están todas separadas por pantallas. Tienes que descargar y pagar a través de la aplicación Wetherspoons, que es fácil de usar. Luego, la comida y las bebidas se compran en su mesa. No pasó mucho tiempo para que todo llegara (15 minutos como máximo) La comida estaba muy buena y caliente. Burger era agradable, patatas fritas crujientes y aros de cebolla crujientes también. Lo único que me desanima de este lugar es la decoración. Es tan oscuro y siempre se siente un poco lúgubre en algunas áreas. La alfombra también necesita ser rasgada. ¡Arregle el lugar con algunos colores brillantes! Aparte de eso, todo lo demás estaba bien. Servicio agradable?

Popped in with a friend and pleasantly surprised. Nice welcome and chat at the bar. Lovely and warm with fire. Saw the cobs at the end of the bar but had already eaten. Despite being 9pm on a Tuesday evening it was quite busy. This was a lovely little pub which I’d love to have as my local.

The positives 1. Nice location 2. Great outside area when sunny 3. Good food 4. Some of the staff are friendly 5. Good class of people The negatives: 1. The bar staff, in general, aren't friendly. 2. They ignore customers while putting glasses away and act robotic while serving, no personality or warmth. 3. Some staff show potential, but poor bar management (ginger lady) affects their development. 4. Food portions are very small. 5. The pub is dark, requiring a torch to read the menu. 6. Staff place reserved signs on bar area tables mid-visit, effectively taking them away. 7. Food isn’t always great. 8. Beer selection is poor—typical brewery-owned pub. 9. The pub can be cold. 10. Frequent functions in the bar area reduce available seating by more than half. 11. The toilets are dirty, smelly, and very cold

We both really enjoyed our Sunday Lunch it was perfect in every way beef just as we liked it not well done the vegetables cooked to perfection with plenty of choice we also had a portion of cauliflower cheese the food was hot as were the plates. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was served in a lovely warm room. Really recommend and will definitely return.

La señora que me sirvió (no cogió su nombre, pero tenía el pelo gingerish) fue siempre tan amable y servicial! Servicio al Cliente puede hacer una gran diferencia en su día

Used to be a great small shop where you could nip in for a sausage roll but now the queues are enormous took me 21 minutes on a relatively quiet Thursday, so God help you on a Saturday. Understaffed and had the cheek to ask me after waiting 21 minutes if I wanted to donate some money with my order to fund breakfast for poor children, with that level of service the kids would long starve to death before they benefited. Greggs isn't restaurant material, the food simply isn't good enough for that, people just like to sit down indoors.

It saddens me to read the other reviews, had I read these before booking a table here I would have avoided it like the plague. We booked here on a whim having buried my father the day before, family had travelled across the country and was returning home. The plans were very much on short notice, we struggled to get a table elsewhere, we were a party of 20 but The Gate were happy to accommodate us. James our server was fantastic from start to finish and the food was excellent. All members of the party really enjoyed their meal and my mum who is difficult to please when it comes to her was extremely happy and as a family that really is all that mattered to us. Thankyou all for a most enjoyable evening on what was a very sad occasion

Treated ourselves to lunch at Fika (assume re-branded Cafe Morso- lots of similarities). Ordered lunch and drinks. Lunch took 45 minutes to come for a sandwich, bread was stale on both sandwiches. Ingredients looked and tasted cheap, could have made better at home. Not really sure why there was a wait only saw 2 meals being served in time, impression is there is not enough kitchen staff. Overall disappointing. Staff were uninterested and despite long waits for food- 2 or the 3 staff prepared themselves lunch and a drink in this time and them took a break in the centre of the main restaurant. Atmosphere was lovely, relaxed and nice music choice. Wouldn't visit again.

Menu said ‘homemade soup’. When it came it looked and tasted from a tin. I asked the waitress and they confirmed it wasn’t homemade. I wouldn’t eat tinned soup at home and disgusted to pay £6.50 for it. Menu lied about it being homemade and saying their things were ‘made from scratch’ Used to come here every time we visited Bromsgrove. But never again.

Hi went to order something and thr staff are clueless and no offence no customer service and I decided to tell them about my autism and was laughed at me because iam trying to put it in there through but have some human sympathy but it's shows the lack of understanding I felt disappointed never will go or recommend this will be on social media including tiktok

Waste of time going. They only open when they feel like it which isn’t very often. Photos shown are old pictures when previous owners had the cafe nothing like that now.

First time ordering and liked it. The sauce on the crispy beef was a bit claggy and sickly, i think from a jar? Wasnt made fresh i know that but very nice
