Fantastic ambience, good food and good service. Have visited a couple of times recently and have never found fault. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is always lovely. Raffle ticket no. 242 AD860931 Will definitely be returning.

They ignore customers while putting glasses away and act robotic while serving, no personality or warmth. 3. Some staff show potential, but poor bar management (ginger lady) affects their development. 4. Food portions are very small. 5. The pub is dark, requiring a torch to read the menu. 6. Staff place reserved signs on bar area tables mid-visit, effectively taking them away. 7. Food isn’t always great. 8. Beer selection is poor—typical brewery-owned pub. 9. The pub can be cold. 10. Frequent functions in the bar area reduce available seating by more than half. 11. The toilets are dirty, smelly, and very cold

A group of 11 of us went to the Barnt Green Inn on Saturday 22nd February for a 60th Birthday celebration. We could not of been happier with the venue, service and food. We requested that a birthday cake (we supplied) be brought out after the desert with coffee as a surprise. The staff did this really well and even helped sing Happy Birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, the waiting staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. The food was amazing, really tasty, well cooked and delicious. Our server was Katie and the chef was Anton, so an extra big thank you to them both for the amazing experience we all had. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

We often come for lunch at Barnt Green Inn, when my bosses come up from London. We are always looked after by the same waitress, I can't recall her name, but she is absolutely great, and always with a smile. The food is always tasty and well presented, and grest xhoice of menu including specials.

I used to love coming here on a Friday/Saturday evening, for a few drinks and watch the live music. But the last 2 times I've been in the bar it's been absolutely freezing 🥶. Everyone in the bar area was wearing a coat. I did mention it to the staff, and they said there's not much they could do, which was very disappointing. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. I won't be returning until they've fixed this issue.

Great food, atmosphere and surroundings. I was meeting up with local friends and I'm not from this area. Easy to find. Service was top and the chef waited extra for me to arrive after last orders.

Get together with work colleagues, food was good, service was a little slow.

The food was very enjoyable. I had the lamb with vegetables and potatoes. There was plenty of it, and it was well cooked. The service was a bit slow, and we had to wait a while for the order to be taken. The main course my mum ordered was unavailable, so she had to have another look at the menu, but unfortunately, the main course she ordered was also unavailable. I feel that this should have been explained to us when we were given the menu as it would have saved time. Having said this, the staff were very friendly.

Food is pricey, which is fine but portions are very small! Lots of bar flies crowding the bar making order hard at a very small strip of bar

Mollie provided great service, and was very engaging. We had a great meal and will return with our friends in a few weeks.

I haven't been here for a very long time and never eaten here before. We called in without a booking but were given a table straight away. The lunch menu was interesting and varied. We had olives and fish croquettes to start followed by belly pork for our main which was very well presented.We then shared the trio desert. Service was excellent and the decor really nice. Thanks for great food and service at very reasonable prices. We will be back :)

Came here on new years Eve, what a great atmosphere in the bar. Music was great, managed to get a table and service at the bar was efficient. Would be lovely to see some more events like this done more often

We went for Sunday lunch. Both had starters, whilst eating them the waitress bought out our roast dinners. When we’d finished our starters about 20mins later she returned with the same dishes, barely even warm, dried up, clearly just been sat there. We had fresh meals made for us after making them aware of this. I had roast beef, 2 slices of gristle! Mushy cauliflower cheese, a few peas and cabbage which they called sautéed veg, 3 not roasted potatoes, it was awful. None of us could eat this roast dinner. Maybe the chef was having a bad day or something but to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

What a Fabulous experience we had on New Year’s Eve at the barnt green inn. We had the New Year’s Eve meal which was the best food I have ever had in a restaurant. Our waitress Heather was super attentive and friendly and helped make the experience one to remember! We will definitely return to this restaurant!

Great venue to relax, have a drink or bite to eat. Friendly service and great pub atmosphere with the nice touches of brass, low level lighting, wooden bar and scattered seating as well as log fire.

Lovely pub but the food is a rip off. Go for a drink but don't bother eating unless you want to drop £20 on a kiddies size meal.

We've had our family boxing day meal here for the last couple of years but was disappointed this year. Couldn't get a drink at the bar as it was too busy. The traditional turkey meal was missing stuffing and pigs in blankets despite being mentioned on the menu and veg was sparse - 3 sprouts!! Very underwhelmed.

This was a birthday lunch for 5, it was marred by the wait of 1hr after ordering before we received our food. One dish was not hot enough and there was a lack of veg on two others.

Have been here several times, and the food is truly mediocre. 100% not worth the premium they charge. Cold soup. Cold risotto with undercooked peas. A boring pork belly dish with flavours that didn’t go together. Service slow but friendly.

My partner and I had been once before in the summer and it was absolutely fantastic. The food and service were faultless. However, this time around it was not up to standard. I appreciate that it was Christmas Eve and so there were a lot of larger groups. However, the service was appalling. It took around 25 minutes for our food order to be taken. The starter arrived promptly and was fantastic. Unfortunately, we then had to wait over an hour for the main course to arrive which was made worse by other tables seated after us (larger) getting their food first. When it arrived, again it was lovely! We then ordered dessert after waiting another 15 minutes. Around 25 minutes later, the waitress came over and advised that one of the desserts was no longer avaliable which is shocking considering the time we had waited. At this point in time we just asked for the bill. All in all a very disappointing Christmas Eve meal and we would not be recommending anyone to come here when busy.

We visited for lunch on the 27th of December. Great service from Dee and food was excellent (consistently good here).

Sian our waitress was fantastic. She had tables with a lot of people to serve her happy attitude and speed which she served was second to none. She never left any table waiting checking on everyone. She enjoys her job which definitely shows. Would return for dinner again. Thankyou for a lovely night.

1st time here, seems to be a really well run pub/restaurant, attentive staff, despite it being very busy. Only gripe, and it's not just here, why do restaurants forget to wipe down the menus? Nice evening with friends, would visit again.

We came for breakfast with Santa yesterday and it was great. Lovely atmosphere. Our children loved it and the breakfast were delicious. We will definitely be back next year.

I have dined at The Barnt Green Inn on numerous occasions and have been extremely happy with the food quality and service. Today however I invited a group of friends to sample the Festive Menu and the overall experience was not a good one. The starters were acceptable but the main courses and desserts were not up to standard. Myself and two other guests ordered the pork belly which tasted as if it has been reheated in addition to which the sprouts were hard and inedible. The creme brulee was warm and of a liquid consistency so I sent it back. Very disappointed and feeling quite anxious because I have booked a table for Christmas Day lunch for myself and 6 family members.

I have visited Barnt Green Inn many times over the years. Old work colleges and I meet up for our annual reunion once a year. We all live in different parts of the country and the Barnt Green Inn is more or less central to where we live. As usual everything was perfect during our visit. The food was excellent as was Heather our waitress . We will be back again next year for our 2024 reunion. So, see you again then.

Upmarket place frequented by some well heeled customers, mainly couples. Dimmed lighting adds to cosy atmosphere. Spacious restaurant area with familiar menu to other venues under the same ownership (M&B). Ample parking, situated next to well established cricket club.

We came for Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. Served by Katie, came with family and we all loved it. Two of the party had the sharer trio of roasts and it was beautiful. Looked great and tasted amazing.

Prebooked a table in the bar for something to eat after a 10 mile hike in the area. Staff very friendly and helpful. In the bar area you have to goto the bar to order food, its the same menu which is fine. Food was good. large portions so good value for money. We had 2 starters, 4 mains and lots to drink. The only thing that disapointed me was that the menu is the same as the Victoria pub down the road which we ate at a couple of weeks previously for a friends birthday.

Came here on Sunday 27th October and had a table of 10 for a family members birthday. The table was booked well in advance and when we arrived we sat and waited a little while for the waitress to take and of our drinks and food order. When we had all decided what we wanted we were told there was a number of items not available! Would have 1, been helpful to advise this before we decided what we wanted and 2, the amount of options no longer available was ridiculous. The only roasts we could have was chicken and pork belly! For a Sunday when most people want a roast this as disgusting. When we questioned the waitress she became very rude and defensive and said “well this is very normal for a Sunday”. Well if the restaurant is used to running out of roasts on a Sunday u would have thought they would order more food in to avoid disappointment especially knowing you have a large table of 10 people booked in! There was nothing offered to us for the disappointment and will make me question ever coming here again. Not a good experience for a first visit!

Booked weeks in advance for a birthday meal on a Sunday, most roasts were off the menu at 6.30pm lady serving us was rude and snatched the menu off myself. Food was nice but for the price and the rudeness I would eat elsewhere and save yourself the hassle!

We waited for over an hour for burgers today. Not great service, food was mediocre.

Booked four weeks in advance for a Sunday evening 6.30 to be told when we got there that there was no roasts available and had sold out. If we had known this could be a possibility we would not have booked

Had a fantastic family Sunday dinner. Our server Agne was absolutely incredible. My father has dementia and she went above and beyond. She showed such kindness and was so attentive to his needs. Well above what we would expect. She made the experience even better and allowed us to relax and enjoy the great food.

From start to finish, everything was superb. Will definitely be returning.

Awful service this evening (Wednesday 9th Oct). Clearly very understaffed. Why take the bookings if you are unable to handle them?. Waitress Heather said there was a wait on food but did not specify, we could see they were busy so fair enough but to end up waiting 50 minutes seemed a little far (if it was going to be this long I think we should have been more clearly forewarned). Food arrived and was nice, not worth its price perhaps, asked for ketchup, was handed satchets? Satchets? Waitress apologised for this when clearing our plates, satchets are for food outside! We then asked for dessert menu, waited 20 - 25 mins for someone to take the order, I ended up having to get someone to take it. No offer of any refund or for something to be removed from the bill. I think given the service we received this evening that this should have been pro-actively done. Will not be returning. £117 for a near 3 hour meal (there was only 3 of us) that includes just the main and Desserts.

The pub is a beautiful setting, seemed very busy but it was a sunday so understandable, it was lovely inside. Unfortunately I think the staff were overwhelmed as we did not get any service for drinks or given menus so had to go up to the bar ourselves to order as we had waited a while and no one came over to speak with us. The service was very slow, but we were not in a rush so it didn't matter especially to us, I could understand this may be an issue if you were on a timeframe. The food however was lovely and I would definitely reccomend the sunday roast, the pudding was also lovely, so worth the wait. I would 100% visit again. I think the only downside was service, but we may have just been unlucky on that day. We also had to go up and pay as no one came over to ask if we wanted the bill. But lovely place to visit and the cute fire was lovely and inviting.

The one guy behind the bar (i believe the manager) was a little rude tbh. Wont be going back again in a hurry as i just dont like rude people!

The food, the service and the decor are 10/10

Food quality, taste and temperature all excellent. Time between courses seemed a bit quick and we had a 3 course meal in 75 mins from arrival to paying the bill. Would be nice to have a bit longer between courses. Other than that it was an excellent visit and we will be back.

Great for families! Good food with varied menu at a reasonable price. Our waitress, Agnes was brilliant and attentive to our needs, which was impressive given that our party ranged in ages between one and eighty three!

Agnes who served us was very friendly and the food was lovely, we felt relaxed even with the little ones so overall a good evening out with the family.

Ordered trio of meats, no stuffing, no crackling, no bread sauce. Chicken way over cooked and dry, pork freezing cold, beef was nice, mixed greens were undercooked whilst carrot and parsnip were overcooked and soggy. Wouldn’t order again.

My meal was forgotten. All my family had their meals and were eating them. My food never came. They offered to cook it, but I had a refund, as didn't want to eat alone!

We attended as a table of 6, and were served by Agnes. A brilliant afternoon celebrating my father in law's birthday and Agnes was really attentive, really engaging with my niece and made our experience a brilliant one. We love the Barnt Green too, we frequently go for celebrations and get togethers, the ambience is amazing and the food is always delicious.

Great place but slow service Sunday.

We had a table booked for 12 on a Friday night for a colleague's leaving do. Food was great and enjoyed by all. I want to give a special mention though to our server Agnes. Being a large party we would have been a complex table, especially when it came to paying the bill, but Agnes was brilliant. She got everything right and was fantastically patient with us. Having someone who is attentive without being pushy makes a meal out so much more special and she got the ballance perfect. Thank you for making it a great evening.

A warm welcome from all staff on arrival. There was a long queue at the bar when we arrived, bar staff served everyone quickly and we found a table to sit at despite everywhere being very busy. There was a singer outside getting ready to deliver his set. Indoors relaxed Ibiza sounds were playing, providing a good "vibe". We were unable to hear the singer once he began his set due to the music being played inside. We were soon seated in the restaurant and immediately asked for a drinks order. As we knew what we wanted to eat we also placed our food order. The service was excellent throughout the evening. The food (all 3 courses) was fantastic. Beautifully presented, excellent taste and plentiful. We really enjoyed dining at The Barnt Green Inn and will be returning again soon.

Its a lovely place, wicked decor and amazing food. My sister and I went on a Saturday evening and had the wine and dine experience. This was a three course meal and a bottle of wine for £100. The food was amazing, my sister had sea salt & cracked black pepper squid for her starter and the British half rotisserie chicken for her main. But i had the carrot & Coriander soup for starter. The Roasted celeriac steak (shallots) for my main and we both had the sicilian lemon tart to finish.

Food was a little expensive for the portion size

Booked a table for two and had three courses, all were brilliant , all team members were very professional and attentive. Our server was a young lady with blue hair who was very friendly and polite. Can't fault anything with the experience will definitely recommend.

Was looking forward to having our Sunday roast here today , but unfortunately was disappointed. There was 3 of us and we all had the roast each . Meals were just warm , disappointing! Also the roast potatoes were as if they had been re heated so chewy . Very polite waitress . I would not recommend the roast . I would return and try something different. Would have been nice to receive a response from the kitchen when they were told the 3 meals were just about warm 😔.

Today I visited the Barnt Green Inn for lunch and unfortunately left with a sour taste in my mouth—not because of the food, but due to the inconsiderate behaviour of some patrons. The inn has five disabled parking spaces, all of which were occupied by individuals who clearly didn’t need them. It was disheartening to witness a lady in a wheelchair being forced to park further away, simply because some selfish people were too lazy to walk a few extra steps. None of these drivers showed any sign of remorse, which really speaks volumes about the kind of clientele this place attracts. As for the food, it was decent—nothing spectacular, but certainly not bad. However, the experience was marred by the blatant disregard for accessibility, which is a personal pet peeve of mine. It’s a shame because this could have been an enjoyable visit, but the lack of respect for disabled individuals left a bitter impression.
