Rude, abrasive and aggressive staff. Poor quality food. Won’t return. What a shame as it could be great and really busy.

I went spare of the moment with my two children and my brother in his wheelchair. Firstly we had a warm welcome even though they were closing soon, the lady and man in the cafe said please take as long as you need. The food was very good. Plenty of room to get around in a big wheelchair. Friendly service and atmosphere.

The woman serving licked her fingers to separate the paper bags and then used the same fingers to make someone an ice cream, touched the cone and flake with licked finger. Really really dirty! Walked straight back out!

We returned to the cafe last week and was greeted by to lovely ladies one who is the owner of the cafe. They were both polite we order 2 toasties and 2 coffees £12 which we thought was very reasonable. I asked the owner about the man who was there in the summer she advised he was only a temp which is good to know so we will definitely be visiting again.

I visited this cafe on Saturday 13th Jan 2024 What a lovely place, reading the previous reviews I was a little worried but it was lovely very clean & tidy and the girl behind the counter was lovely and even spoke to I presume her regulars by name she was very polite. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich and a latte and I really enjoyed it I watched her cook the bacon fresh I will be definitely going back. She was even kind enough to bring a loyalty card out for me to get stamped every time I go.

We took our little ones to the park and decided to get a drink and sandwich. The guy serving us was incredibly miserable, not one smile or hello. I told him what I wanted then asked him a question and he just walked off, completely ignored me. He then came out of the side door where we were standing and not even said excuse me just looked at us with an evil look. He took the payment once again nothing. Thank you would be nice but if not I am happy with a smile at least. Awful service

I visited today after a walk around the park, just to buy a black coffee. I was asked at the window if I wanted a small or large, I said large and was charged £1.70. When I went to the front to collect my drink a small was handed to me. I said I’d asked for a large coffee and the lady said the order was for small. She went back to the coffee machine and then spoke to the man who took my order coming back to me saying “you only paid for a small, he says he asked you if you wanted small and you said yes”. I explained again that I’d asked for large and she said fine but then you’ll have to pay more. I said just give me the drink you’ve made and I left. I work in a café myself and if I’d spoken to a customer in that way I’d have been reproached by the owner. The drink was quite watery too. I won’t return.

First visit to Sanders Park on Tuesday, and was so delighted that the cafe was open for takeaway snacks and drinks. Considerable variety of food available. Social distancing queuing clearly marked and staff were masked. Can definitely recommend the crispy chicken wrap, it was delicious. Plenty of benches dotted around the park to sit and enjoy your lunch and big bonus the public toilets were open! Hand sanitizers too.

ajh14878 . We’ve always had a lovely time. They do take card now there wi fi wasn’t available and I have small children and they provide high chairs . Perhaps they just needed asking . It’s very clean friendly staff excellent service and I thought food was really good value £170 for cappachino. £1.50 cake and Cornish ice cream cone £2.20 . Sandwich’s/toasties £3 . Blimey for a day out I think that’s reasonable it’s not like you have gone to a high street where cheaper prices like Greg’s . And greasy cafes? They probably have high overheads as well like rent rates etc ... I really think your being unfair

Thought I'd meet my eldest at the park today with my two grandchildren. The park is lovely but when is this cafe finally going to arrive into the 21st Century. Closed for business and locked public loo too A bright but cold sunny day and you fancy a hot drink and your greeted with closed doors , not to mention the second entrance that they have been working on.for 17 months ( see pic below ). This is poor there were lots of poeple at the park so there is no excuse , Go the Arrow valley lake cafe open , Kidderminster park cafe is open and Worcs ... I think you get my point .Poor , poor , poor come on Sanders you can do better

Popped in with my friend & her daughter for a late lunch before a 4 hr journey home, I have a couple of dietary needs & as soon as I said so, they immediately called over a staff member who was grabbing all the boxes & checking all ingredients, all staff were smiling, jokes plenty, really lovely. I think the food was reasonably priced & service was great, only down side was the wasps outside, but then at the end of August, what else can you expect?!!

Seriously... this place is useless for families with small children, which is ridiculous given that it’s in a park. I don’t know how some people can rave about the food and says it’s “the best cafe in Bromsgrove”! Unbelievable- you need to get out more. The food is what you can make at home and is way overpriced. They don’t take card- get with the times!! We’ve moved on to paying by phone for heaven’s sake and this motley crew are still only taking cash! I went with my friend who has a small child, as do I, and shockingly there are no high chairs.... I don’t understand why there wouldn’t be any. It’s a park, small children will be coming to the park, provide for them!! It puts me off going to the park to be honest- I always like a nice coffee and snack when I’m out and this place just doesn’t fit the bill.

I feel this cafe is stuck in the dark ages. With a little bit of effort you could do some really great food and drink sourced locally. The sausages are what I’d call fair ground style, cheap nasty products. The coffee and tea are just as bad. The hot chocolate tastes like it’s instant hot chocolate, and at nearly £3 a cup it’s a bit of a rip off. Never mind!

Visited her July 2018 on a Friday, it's a fantastic little cafe with lots of snacks on offer and spotlessly clean -there is lots of choice of seats outside to. A real hidden gem however I think they take cash only so be prepared. Well worth a visit for an ice cream or coffee and cake in a beautiful park.
