Fabulous find! I was hankering for a traditional Cornish scone! And wasn’t disappointed! Freshly made and light - with gorgeous latte too - lovely owners and their little dog! So friendly and cosy - will be back for lunch too!

Had a crispy bacon and scrambled egg roll after a walk to Porthgwarra - delicious! Best scrambled egg ever and friendly charming service. Highly recommended.

This is the most amazing café with absolutely the BEST cakes you will EVER taste. (The sausage and bacon bap was also very tasty) The ladies are friendly and wonderful. I used to live in St Austell and was a frequent visitor to the Thin End (a famous café for those with long memories) which served the dreamiest cakes. So when I heard that someone who knew original Thin End staff had opened a café in Pentewan I knew I had to visit. It has taken a while to get there but oh my it was so worth it. A must visit

This little tearoom is just the BEST! No trip to Mevagissey is complete without a visit to Teacup Tearoom! More than just dog friendly, they welcome dogs with open arms, tickles, treats water and a comfy blanket or bed. All the cakes are home made and they do the most amazing sandwiches on deliciously soft, fresh bread. If you've never been, now is the time to change that! A very warm and friendly welcome is guaranteed 😁

Popped in for ice creams and to our delight spotted GF cones. No big deal if you do not have Coeliac’s Disease, but if you do, so many everyday treats and ordinary foods are not available to you. Even more impressed when the scoop was washed before serving us. Simple things these but it made a huge difference to us and I am very happy to give top marks to the Mermaid for being aware and considerate. We will return.

Since changing hands this quayside pub has changed a lot.Nothing wrong with the food but appears to be a limited menu and only 2 specials,both platters when we visited.At least tables can now be booked and an ideal place for a drink and watching the world go by.Very dog friendly which may not appeal to all.

Stopped for lunch Amazing pasties and coffee, nice friendly staff to. The location is perfect on the harbour to. Lovely seating outside to enjoy your food and drinks.

Superb breakfast, 2 full Cornish fry ups, a cream tea and a sausage bap. Superbly cooked, quality ingredients, speedy service and friendly staff!!

When chatting to John at the Mevagissey Bay Hotel about walking over to Gorran Haven he said we should try the Cornish Pasties at Cakebreads. So after a walk around the beach and harbour we set off up the hill to find the Post Office/store which he directed us to. On arriving we found nothing as we expected it, yes there is a shop and it does double as a Post Office, But it also has a great little outside seating area with a bar. We were amazed to find out that this was also used for live music nights. There must be a great atmosphere here on one of those nights. It was a pity we were not staying longer as we would have definitely like to have had a night out here. John was 100% correct the Cornish Pasties were the best I had tasted since all those years back, eating my Aunty's pasty on the rocks in Mousehole. If you are in Gorran Haven this must be on your list to visit a apsty to beat the best.

We stopped for lunch lovely Cornish pasty and cake, there is an excellent selection of pasties, pies and cakes. Also lovely baked bread. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely tasty cream tea. Scone was one of tastiest I had ever had. Husband had bacon and brie sandwich that he also really enjoyed.

We had a meal at Sharksfin on our first evening in Mevagissey. We hadn't booked but as it was early evening they were able to accommodate us. It is advised to book, especially in high season. The food was lovely, a varied menu, freshly prepared and good value. There is a nice atmosphere as it is right on the quay front.

Quirky cafe in a beautiful location. The ladies who run it are lovely. One was so pleased to receive a drawing from our autistic daughter, Leanne, who has learning difficulties. It made Leanne’s day.😊 Visited twice during a short break, and will return! Graham, Barbara and Leanne

Popped in a few nights while staying in Mevagissey. Felt very welcome and enjoyed some great beers. Lots of locals which we think is always a good sign. Food looked great too!
