We love this place! They have a wonderful cooked full breakfast, fresh homemade cream teas very friendly helpful staff.

You know a place is going to be good when there are so many regulars greeting one another. I really wanted a creme tea but it was lunchtime. They have the perfect solution. 1/2 savory and 1/2 creme tea. The savory scone came with local cheddar and the creme tea scone followed. This was my favorite lunch during our two week trip to England. Delicious and such nice people. We loved this town.

Wow ! what an amazing little gem,🩷 the food is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is so pleasant and friendly ☺️. You have to try the scones they are out of this world and a big pot of tea...Amazeballs!...we went with our dog and son and we was made to feel so welcomed, I highly recommend a visit. Fabulous Find ! Went for Sunday breakfast here (which they serve until mid afternoon) it was excellent. Great friendly service and fabulous choice for all of our family members including Vegan and Vegetarian options. Food was great and quickly served and the cafe was lovely in every aspect. Had breakfast at the Lighthouse Cafe, it was cooked to perfection, so good in fact we called later and I had a scone, jam and cream and the wife had home made cake. Couldn’t help but notice how Rachel looked after the local’s which she should be applauded for. Bit like a community hub really. Will definitely call in again if we’re in Cornwall

Best cream tea we had while on our travels, really friendly staff, in a picturesque harbour town (with the additional excitement if you aren't staying there of the tide being so high it was coming onto the roads round the harbour).

Visited twice for breakfast while staying in Mevagissy and really enjoyed our food. My husband, who is partial to a cheese scone declared them probably the best he’s had. Cold and wet outside, but a lovely warm and friendly welcome. Good value, good quality food and the background music was fab, too! Thank you! 😊

Had breakfast here while on a short break to Mevagissey. While we enjoyed what we had (veggie breakfast and smashed avocado on toast) one thing let the place down, no gluten free bread. It's frustrating as a person who can't eat gluten to not be served the same as everyone else, and to not have the offer to add an extra item instead of bread. 99% of GF people can't help it, it's not our fault! Please consider just having a GF loaf in your freezer to include everyone.

Lovely service and great coffee. The team were helpful and I ended up sharing a table as they were very busy. Ivisit every year, never disappoints. Coffee cake was delightful.

Friendly and welcoming, the Lighthouse served us a tasty and high quality breakfast in relaxed surroundings where locals and visitors easily mix . We enjoyed our morning visit and will be back for more before we go.

A lovely, friendly little cafe where we enjoyed a fish finger roll with fries and sausage, beans and fries. They also offer a good Redbush/Rooibos tea! What a bonus, as many places do not.

I went into this cafe for a crab sandwich. I was given a choice of bread and opted for the granary. I was very happy to be presented with my plate of food, as the sandwich was well filled, and came with coleslaw, side salad and a few crisps. It was delicious and nothing was left. We decided to have lunch here whilst on a visit to Mevagizzy and after a five minute wait we managed to get a table. Whilst this is a small cafe it is well set out with plenty of room. They also allow dogs in as do the majority of eating establishment in the village and they even gave our Clumber spaniel a treat of a sausage.There is a good selection of food here whether it be main meals, sandwiches or a cake or cream tea. We had a main meal and it was cooked quickly, piping hot and very enjoyable with good quality food used.Due to Covid there are restrictions but this is only to be expected but and in peak times you may have to wait for a table to become free but if you di this it is well worth it.The staff are very pleasant and friendly and we would certainly return again when next visiting.

We visited here yesterday on a very wet day. The place was empty when we went in but then suddenly it was full but it's not huge just a few tables. The lovely lady serving had all of us to deal with at once suddenly and I noticed she served us all quickly and was on her own. The food was delicious. Reccomend my bagel which was salmon and cream cheese. Sandwiches also great and hubby said best coleslaw he'd had for years. My fruit scone was delicious with jam and cream of course. Loads of scones on arrival but only one remained as we left. Late lunch around 3.30pm did not disappoint. If we get back to Mevagissey would be straight back in here. Thank you

We arrived quite late in the day to Mevagissey due to an accident closing the road. We walked around the lovely little fishing village and most places were closed or closing. We came across the Lighthouse and could see they had an empty table. We waited by the door and asked if they were still serving tea and cake, we greeted so warmly by a lovely lady, even though it was just past 4.30, she was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious slice of cake, tea and a coffee. A gem of a place. Hope the rest of the season goes well for you.

A small friendly cafe our food was cooked to order and the prices are ok, there is an excellent selection of food to choose from and the request for a toasted teacake with cheese was met with the usual raised eyebrow but was duly supplied. Definitely worth a visit if you are in need of a hot drink, food or both.

Absolute ‘gem’ of a cafe with a fab menu selection to suit breakfast, lunch & tea. We have visited often during our holiday & recommend this small lovely cafe for both eating in & take away - v reasonably priced. The cream tea scones are to die for with plenty jam/cream to slather on. Their cakes are so light, fluffy & delicious all washed down with drink of choice. It’s so popular & staff so v friendly & Covid safe. We will definitely be back next year for sure.

After strolling around Mevagissey harbour and decided on a cream tea.So glad we found the Lighthouse. Just down from the main car park it is easy to find. Our cream tea had a lovely tea pot, a a very generous portion of cream and jam and absolutely delicious scones. The service was friendly and welcoming. Be warned that it is a small cafe and so numbers are limited. We were greeted by a little chain across the and asked to wait for a table. No problem, understandable and well managed given the difficulties of covid. Hoping to visit again to give breakfast a try

I went today for brunch and was wonderfully surprised. The reviews of The Lighthouse were brilliant, but I'm very VERY happy with the wonderful customer service and delicious food. Rachael was wonderful and cheery and made our experience one of a kind. Simple but wonderful food and we felt so welcomed! It is a small cafe but that makes such a difference as it feels more like a family get together than the industrial vibe of a lot of cafes have adopted recently. My friends and I really enjoyed our time. We didn't feel rushed to finish, which happens a lot in Meva, and we got to see old friends who frequent the cafe (which aways makes days out great!) So clean and they adhere well to the new rules. I was far too full for a cake, thanks to the generous portions, so will definitely be coming back again! (If I can, that is! They are very in demand). Wonderful with our crazy requests and have amazing Gluten Free, vegi and vegan options!Overall: Excellent service, Brilliant food, scrummy looking freshly baked cakes, Clean and Safe!

After walking around in circles trying to find a coffee shop to escape the rain we finally found a free table. We ordered scones with salmon and cream cheese and a scoop of icecream- the girl behind the till was pleasant enough. Food was nice and not too expensive, coffee was a little cold and service was quite slow. Overall a nice experience.

Visited for lunch with a group including children and grandparents. Sampled everything from a full English through to cream tea. All superb quality and nicely prepared. Would not hesitate to eat here again. Staff were lovely.

We popped in late one Sunday afternoon for coffee and cake. Alas we missed the cake, we were however offered free scones to make up for the no cake. Coffee was delicious and the company outstanding, we chatted with everyone as if one big family. Very welcoming and warm. A must for coffee lovers.
