Delicious IPA (although very pricey at £6.50 a pop). Nice clean and tidy pub, with a small terrace out back which grabs the afternoon sunshine.

13 notes for a pint of cloudy home brew and small glass of wine.? Just back from london which was same price. Nice pub. Nice staff. Awful prices. Better off at the thirty scholar. Better beers. Better food. Better prices.

We visited for a few days to explore the local area and chose Seven Stars for it's location. Great little find. Our room was ready for us, even though we had arrived earlier than check in time and we were greeted by Jane who was really helpful. First impressions mean so much, and our room was lovely. Plenty of tea/coffee available along with bottled water. The bed was comfy and our little en-suite ideal. The light breakfast provided was as described and well presented. A very pretty little pub with well presented accomodation. We were a little sad that the pub doesn't serve food on the days we were staying as would have been keen to try. Friendly and helpful staff. Once checked out we were able to store our bags for collecting later, which was helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Nice little B&B for exploring the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. The rooms are very clean and tasteful. However, they are too small for 2 people and the bathroom is not suitable for tall people. Unfortunately there is no breakfast either. But in the pub there is a very good beer from the microbrewery. Tip: Don’t forget Oropax!

Popped in whilst exploring local area. Stunning little place, great little beer garden out back. Served by a great bar tender called Alex. Who was very informative.

Came for a one night stay, really friendly staff when we booked and on reception. Clean, tidy & welcoming atmosphere in the pub itself. Our room was also very clean and well enough equipped. Bed was comfortable enough for one night but I'm a fussy person regards beds. All in all I'd definitely stay there again.

A pub like the Seven Stars, you would expect to have star quality. Sadly, it hasn’t and certainly not seven. I was staying there one night, after a meeting at the university. So, I ate, drank and slept there. Let’s start with the relatively good bits. The building is a delight, old but tastefully restored and the same is true of the rooms. Well equipped, comfortable bed, nice lighting. Now let me turn to the rest: The pub brews its own beer ‘in the garden’ I was told. I’d like to say it was a fine example of the output of a micro-brewery, but it wasn’t. It was, at best – just bland and at £5 a pint, comparatively expensive for this part of the world. The menu was very small and relies heavily on the deep fryer and the freezer. Even though a Friday night, it bore no resemblance to that offered on their website. It was primarily burgers, without a vegetable or salad in sight. I had the Korean chicken burger, which claimed to come with Asian slaw – which kind of hinted at a salad. There was also some kind of Korean (sic) sauce, but the two had bled into each other to create a nasty gunge. The chicken was… well just grilled chicken. This was accompanied by tasteless industrial chips. It was also tepid, because the landlord/ manager spent 30 minutes in deep discussion of the merits of South African travel, completely ignoring the other customers. I eventually went down to the bar, waited a further five minutes and another member of staff appeared. She went off to find my dinner, which had been languishing in the kitchen. They knocked off £5 from my bill under the heading ‘Complaint’, but no one said sorry. Then there was ‘breakfast’, yoghourt, cereal bar, orange juice and rice Krispies, with instant coffee. Though, they had given me a little cafetiere, so I could pretend it was real coffee.

Dropped in for a quick 'end of long walk' pint and was not disappointed. 3 home micro brew Cask and a very tasty NEIPA on Keg. All the usual others for this neck of the woods as well, but the home brewed choices are the winner for me. A really clean and contemporary look and friendly vibe.

My fiance and I attended this establishment on Thursday evening. We went for something to eat and ended up staying all evening. Landlord was very welcoming and staff helpful. Food was outstanding and service was excellent. Made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door x

Nice friendly more upscale sort of place but still real. Even offered food to me as there was a photo shoot going on, super kind. I'm vegan so didnt want to make a fuss or bother them . There are vgn options on menu just not what I fancied at that moment (garlic mushroom or a burger) but appreciated having options anyway. Maybe another time..

Small room, breakfast included but it was the continental only, which consisted of coco pops and crunchy nut and yogurt. Fine for the kids but I dont have any. No attempt at upsell to the cooked breakfast. Could be much better.

Out with a group walking and popped in for a pint - we were warmly welcomed by Mark and his team. They made space for us in the beer garden so we could listen to the live music. We stayed for a couple of hours as such a lovely pub. The BBQ looked great, shame we had already had lunch. Toilet facilities were good. Look forward to returning.

We went on a Tuesday evening with our dog and shared a tempura prawn starter then had a Korean chicken and regular hamburger with a lint each if different own brews. Really good well cooked and tasty food. Great ales. The one barman was very busy it did a fantastic job and we didn’t have to wait long. Would be happy going with family next time.

Such a fab place to stay!! The staff were so welcoming (as were the other guests in fact!) and I had a really lovely room. So clean and lots of special touches such as the little hamper with breakfast. I never wrote reviews but I couldn’t neglect to do so this time as the icing on the cake was how the staff have just gone out of their way to find some important items I left behind (phone charger and straightness! Essentials!!) and have offered to send them to me. I highly recommend the Seven Stars!!

Great evening. Quiz, drinks, meals. We’ll one was warm, service quick despite being busy. Decor is comfortable and it’s not too noisy. Excellent fish and chips. Well-balanced quiz although we think our salt water crocodile answer deserved credit. But we still would not have won. And very pleasing to have such a good sound system, so we could hear the questions and manager-bantering clearly despite being furthest from the bar. The peas were especially tasty!

A bar that serves food and is used by the locals. We don’t mind that. The beer garden is a lovely addition. Sunny and peaceful and they play he music at an acceptable level (not deafening like some places). The food is good. My husband had fish and chips. Good portion size. I had stuffed portobello mushrooms but had expected them to be large not three small ones. It was tasty but not amazing. Plenty of choice for all on the menu whether a meat eater, vegetarian or vegan. The experience was a little dampened by the small group of people in the same area who liked to hear themselves speak. Not the bars fault at all. All in all we would eat here again and recommend. The staff were friendly and eager to please.

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend away. Our room was perfect, clean and tidy and every morning a breakfast pack was dropped off at our door. Lovely touches. The cleaning team are amazing, very friendly and up for a laugh. Big shout out to the young lad behind the bar, Alex, he was an absolute delight and the young lady who welcomed us on our arrival. It was only her second shift and she smashed it. Well done to the kitchen team, our burgers were top notch. Thank you to the whole team for making our getaway perfect ✌️😎

We stayed for two nights and from the minute we walked through the door we were more than looked after and made to feel at home. Fantastic rooms, exceptionally clean, superb fluffy white bath towels, large comfortable bed with crisp white linen, toiletries and drinks all provided in the room. The food is out of the world and very reasonably priced-highly recommend the Cornish Mackerel, Chicken wings and Lemon dessert. What sets this aside is the friendly atmosphere, Marc and the team are exceptional and the local patrons are also very engaging - we had a great Eurovision night on our visit! Looking forward to returning very soon-Ann,Nick and Joe.

Friendly staff, prompt service and a nice cream tea. There is seating in the main cafe, some more under the cover of a small marquee and loads more on the lawn. Reasonably priced too.
