The Cake Hole Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Fabulous find! I was hankering for a traditional Cornish scone! And wasn’t disappointed! Freshly made and light - with gorgeous latte too - lovely owners and their little dog! So friendly and cosy - will be back for lunch too!

We popped in out of the rain when the heavens opened and what a lovely welcome! We had two very soggy puppies who were more than welcome inside. We had white hot chocolate and tea to drink, (proper teapot that didn't dribble and a mug!) which were both lovely, as well as a piece of cherry cake, lemon cake and the fruit loaf with butter. The cakes were incredible and all homemade! An absolute delight and a lovely place to relax out of the rain. Would definitely recommend.

Tea and Scones were delicious. Definitely do try the savory scones, absolutely yummy! The cafe is so charming and unique. Owner is very friendly!

Very friendly, cute little gem of a cafe with a good selection on the gluten free menu including scones and bread baked at a local gf bakery. Conscious of cross contamination risks so separate prep area which is great for coeliac! Loved my smoked salmon sandwich and cream tea and the non gluten free panini my husband had was great.

We loved this cafe / coffee / cake shop. For many reasons. First and foremost it is dog friendly which is always the first thing I look for in a cafe. The table service was with a smile and there is a good selection of food and drinks. The service was prompt and the food and drinks we ordered were very nice. Overall The Cake Hole was clean and tidy. I would recommend and would definitely call in again when next in Mevagissey.

Found The Cake Hole when we wanted an afternoon scone and drink. In our party we had both Sweet and savoury options and the staff were kind enough to assist with the request of our party to have cream cheese and Chutney instead of the butter for their option. The atmosphere was pleasant and we would return should we come back to the area. Highly recommend.

The location we were going to eat at was closed so searched around what else there was and found The Cake Hole. Staff were very friendly on arrival with a notice in the window saying dogs welcome and there was a dog on site. Our children absolutely loved the dog and if we could of taken it home then we would have as it was so soppy. I better add that there was a very good choice of food with an excellent range of drinks for children and was all delicious. It was also very clean inside so have no issues at all in recommending this cafe

A warm welcome from the lady at the counter, showed us a table and said she would be with us in a minute, she took our order, drinks arrived as ordered followed by the food which was tasty and presented well. Glad we stopped here it was prefect start to our visit, we will be returning. Thank you.

Not the greatest bacon sandwich I have had. Bacon was hard and dried out. There were also two dogs behind the counter which I do not think is in line with health and safety. I am a dog lover but i do not think dogs should be in a trade kitchen or food preparation area. The ladies were who run the cafe were pleasant and attentative. I do not think I would return to this cafe.

I can't believe this cafe doesn't have more reviews as it was a lovely find on a recent rainy day in Mevagissey. We had lunch, panini's, chessy chips and a lovely leek and potato home made soup. Coffee was also very nice. The mum and daughter running the cafe were very friendly and welcoming.

A lovely place where we had some delicious brownies and coffee on a wet day in Mevagissey. Will definitely return if in the area again.

What a fantastic find! A lovely little cafe with great service and a wide variety of options available. Very friendly and welcoming and although we were three late afternoon, we didn't feel rushed as they were closing after we left. Amazing selection of gluten free options too, including sandwiches, cake AND cream tea 😊. Highly recommended.

What a great find and a lovely welcome. Had a delicious home baked chocolate cake, suitable for vegetarians, well made coffees. Plenty of options for vegetarians, which was unexpected in such a small tearoom. First visit but definitely won't be the last.

I don't mind people bringing well behaved dogs into cafes as there seems o be very few people who don't drag a poor dog wherever they go. But I do object to staff cuddling and fussing over dogs and then not apparently washing their hands...

Lovely clean and quirky cafe with fantastic customer service, and my best vegan sandwich of the year ! My friend had the toasted tea bread which she also loved. Toilets were immaculate too. Highly recommended

Visited this lovely friendly café in May with a group of friends. We were made to feel so welcome, atmosphere, decoration and staff outstanding. Fantastic selection of homemade cakes and great coffee. If you are in Meva don't miss this one. We will be back.

edge of meva at the activity center but worth going to, cakes and light lunches, prices reasonable, the cake hole is the conservatory at the front of the building, the people who staff it are volunteers i think, they are pleasant and helpful, very clean...

Found this little gem. Just outside of the main town centre. Great quality coffee and homemade cakes, along with friendly and efficient service.

Came in after a raining walk and was met by very friendly staff. Food and coffee was great and the prices fair will definitely be back and highly recommend
