Small venue, with beautifully cooked, flavoursome food. We had hake, duck and steak, and everyone very happy with their choice. Deserts delicious too.

What a wonderful bistro! The food was excellent - each element of our meal was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented - and with only 16 covers in the restaurant, there was a cosy, intimate ambience. The friendliness and attention to detail of the young lady serving us was a joy. It was so good that we tried to book again for the following evening, but, unsurprisingly, it was fully booked. We would highly recommend this place. It made our short stay in Bude memorable.

Went for dinner booked for 7.45, took about half an hour to get our drink and an hour and ten minutes to get our dinner. I wouldn't mind if the food had been really nice but the food was very average and the restaurant only had 16 people in it.

Arrived in Bude Fri evening. Looked for a place to eat. 1st pick was 2 Belle Vue Avenue on the strength of previous reviews. Luckily there was a space for 2 with no booking (but this was indeed lucky - book ahead). This is a small venue with maybe 7 tables. 1 server who was fantastic, and is pretty intimate all round. And the food? Top class. It's a small menu, but it's all you need. We had seabass (both if us) which were 2 x fillets and came with 2 king prawns on brilliant mash with a drizzle of sauce to die for. Absolutely mouth-watering and deeply saddened when it was finished! How do you follow that up? Pudding!! Mrs had custard tarts - decadent pastry and creamy custard filling with an exquisite small glass of cherry liqueur. I ended up going for the brownie with clotted cream. Both were terrific quality. Top drawer. So glad we got a table on the hoof, and if we get the chance we'll book on and be back to try more off the menu. One of the best meals I've had anywhere in Cornwall. High praise indeed.

We visited 2 Belle Vue Avenue with friends as we were staying nearby in Widemouth Bay, wanted a nice meal out to celebrate a birthday in our party and had read good things about this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was AMAZING, everything cooked to perfection and portion sizes just right. Absolutely fantastic value for money. We had the squid and lamb for starters, sea bass, hake and duck as mains and the little Portuguese custard tarts for dessert. My favourite was the squid as so often it can be done badly but this was melt in the mouth good. Service was great and friendly. Only two people working managing the kitchen and front of house but still super attentive. You do need to book ahead as the place is tiny and only has about 20 covers of that. We initially wanted to visit earlier in the week but couldn’t get a table. They do two sittings one at 6pm and one at 8pm. On this occasion we were the only 6pm booking but that didn’t matter at all as the place is small enough for it not to ruin the atmosphere. If you get a chance to go here please do. These guys are doing a great job at creating some truly beautiful food.

2 Belle Vue Avenue is a very discreet restaurant in a Bude side street. Probably only about 20 covers but very popular and booking is essential, My wife and I decided to order 4 starters (Tapas style) rather than the standard starter/main course. This didn't phase the kitchen at all and we were really pleased with our decision. The food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommended

Lovely small restaurant, very knowledgable waiter now the food. Delicious homemade mackerel pate, my husband had the calamari he said it was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The hake with champ and broccoli was very good indeed. My husbands steak was cooked exactly as he asked. No room for a desert but the selection was tempting. Small bistro in Bude. Wonderful quality authentic tapas dishes. Generous, value for money servings and very tasty, especially the meatballs, garlic mushrooms, mackerel and tempura vegetables. One if our party had the hake dish, which was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended if you visit Bude.

This really was a delightful experience. All the food was cooked to a high standard. We had three courses each. There really was nothing to criticise. The wine was excellent too. The waitress was lovely.

Superb lunch, the best Greek salad outside of Crete, fantastic. Hallouni chips with tsatziki , calamari and shrimps. You could almost be somewhere hot and fabulous, even if you are in Bude.

My husband and I had the most amazing meal here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I often get made to feel like a burden at restaurants when I request gluten and dairy free and get offered meals with bits missing but both my starter and main course were tweaked by the incredible chef to create a delicious and rounded meal with absolutely no problems. We had the king prawns with garlic and herbs and paprika dusted calamari for starters followed by seabass with a really delicious homemade pesto, capers and slow roasted tomatoes. Social distancing meant that there were only 6 other people in the restaurant so service was attentive but not overbearing. We also shared a bottle of Malbec which was very smooth and full. I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely, small restaurant.

What more is there to say - this was a fantastic find - really wonderful food and service - this restaurant pretty much salvaged a diabolical trip to Cornwall and made a birthday celebration really special. Big thanks.

We got lucky last Fri eve, and had the last table in this cosy place. Welcomed with warm (homemade?) bread, then chose from a small but perfectly formed menu. Wine is fine, and well priced. Excellent value and top- notch nosh; really happy to recommend a meal here. Looking forward to returning!

I'm not sure I want to leave this review as it's hard enough to get a table as it is. I have eaten in most places in bude and I can honestly say that this little tucked away restaurant is the hidden gem of bude. Every single thing is sublime, from when you first walk through the door, your host and owner makes you feel like family. Nothing is too much trouble, I genuinely felt everything was done to make us feel as welcome & as comfortable as possible and as for the food well 5* top notch freshly cooked delicious food. How we have managed to be lucky enough to have a chef like this in our little town is heaven. What a lovely couple and so fantastic to see them working together to give us a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back.

2 Belle Vue was our New Year's Eve venue for 2019, and came very much recommended by our local hosts. It is a small restaurant operated by a team of no more than three where the emphasis is totally on creating and presenting the excellent cuisine.For New Year's Eve, there was an extremely competitive three course £50 fixed price menu with some fine delicacies to enjoy. The kidney starter was memorable and was not so rich as to detract from the more subtle flavours of the duck main course. Other members of the group were equally impressed by the steaks.This was a fantastic dinner to end the year and we hope to return and enjoy dining from the normal menu some time in 2020. The wine list is not extensive but is reasonably priced. Whilst the facade and interior of the restaurant may not match the excitement of the cuisine.....do not judge a book by its cover!!

Visited early on a Saturday evening. Received a lovely welcome and the ambience in this small bistro/restaurant was fine even though there was only 2 of us until some other diners arrived a little bit later. All the food we had was excellent - lovely bread and dips to share while we perused the menu and had a drink. We chose the Whalesborough Ribeye Steak and Sea Bass which were beautifully presented and tasted superb. Will definitely be visitng again.

A friend recommended 2 Belle Vue Avenue as the best restaurant for good food in Bude. They said it always had a good gluten free menu, and that the staff are very attentive and friendly so we knew this was the right place to take our guests one of whom is gluten free. We were so delighted with our choice. It is a small restaurant with lovely relaxed and cosy atmosphere and our guest was very pleased with the gluten free options, particularly impressed with the gluten free bread and lovely fish dish. We love good, homecooked food and excellent personal service so this was a hit with all four of us.

Lovely meal here to catch up with friends, being gluten free was not a problem. My Hake was absolutely delicious, will defiantly return next time we are in Bude.

Looking for somewhere to eat one evening in Bude we came across this little Bistro run by a young couple and enjoyed a superb meal. My wife had sea bass and said it was the best she'd ever tasted and she is very fussy! I had a 10oz rump steak which was delicious. One of the best if not the best places to eat in Bude.You won't be disappointed.We were lucky to get a table best to book.

Tucked away, but definitely worth finding. From the minute we arrived (just before close too I might add), we were welcomed by Georgina with a friendly smile and a chat. We chose the calamari, souvlaki chicken and mussels, all absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Had a beautiful meal here small restaurant quite unique all food freshly cooked and lovely home made bread the service spot on will definitely be going back shame it took us so long to go there.The only minus point was the bottle beer at 4 £ a bottle a little expensive apart from that fabulous

Found this restaurant whilst walking the back streets of Bude. It’s small, friendly with delicious food. We had cocktails to start with the complimentary bread. Then chose 4 tapas between the two of us. All superb. Finished off with a Jamaican coffee. Made with Kraken rum. The line between the coffee and the cream was distinct to the last drop. Delicious. We visited again the next day to take advantage of free nibbles with a drink. Couldn’t resist having another coffee. Well worth a visit.

Who knew a spotaneous birthday treat would lead us to this hidden delight?!I don't know about you but I find it harder and harder to find places to eat on special occassions that really tick all the boxes for myself and the family.This place does just that....Cozy, excellent service, delicious food (quite honestly the best Calamari we've ever had), resonable portion sizes and every one of us absolutely loved it.Highly rated Restaurant is small with limited tables so recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment.

This is possibly the best meal we’ve had in a long time. I found this restaurant after seeing it on Facebook. Didn’t know what to expect, but oh my goodness... we were so well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and the children even behaved themselves!! Going to a restaurant in the evening with two young children, can often be a challenge and I’ve found we are sometimes not overly welcomed. Here though, the food was adapted for them, the waitress was so lovely, and they girls loved being there. (Thank you!). Our food was absolutely delicious! Crisp calamari and the best cooked lamb I’ve ever had! I even took photos! It tasted as amazing as it looked! A small but brilliant menu for a small but brilliant restaurant. Next time we come to Bude - we’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I stopped in here after dropping some end of life inflatables into Zuma Jays for Wyatt & Jack - a little gem! First of all they do Chai lattes!! It was the best I have had for a long long time. I need their milk frother in my life! The creamy and dreamy. We both had the croquet monsieur - a gamble when you are used to the Alps ones but I have to say one of the best we have had. They make you feel so welcome and if we are in Nude again we will definately be back. The cocktails sound great too. It is a lovely fresh, calm place with tasteful but simple decor. The food was excellent, the choice varied enough and the service faultless. Our only criticism is the furniture- the table was wobbly and continually creaked. The owners are clearly trying very hard so perhaps a little more investment would help create perfect atmosphere.

Popped in here to this trendy little gem for a quick coffee, which was excellent. In the same week, I took a friend back for brunch which was amazing !!! Then back in the same week to try the evening menu which also did not disappoint. Lovely vegan options (although I’m not vegan) were delicious and healthy. Beautifully decorated, cool trendy music vibes and lovely staff. My one suggestion would be to open until 5pm so I can take my older kids after school for a treat or crepe on the days they do these. Well done guys, keep up the great vibes xx

I added 2 Belle Vue because it's nestled in the back streets of the town centre, not easily found. Quite small, it is delightful & you must visit & try it out. The food & service was excellent, I do know that they use the excellent Red Dog bread, infact it was the owners of the bakery who we saw go. They are obviously not skimping on the quality of their ingredients.Best of luck to them, but I hope it doesn't get too popular that we can't get a table when we want!
