What a loveley tea room who cater for all your needs. They welomed our dog they laid a blanket on the floor for him gave him a bowl of water and a treat. The other 6 people thouroghly enjoyed our cups of tea,Scones and bagels. The service was first class the food was delicious. The next time we are in Mevagissey this will be one of our must go places.

Perfect little tea room. All the charm of an old fashioned tea room without the cobwebs and stuffiness. Very clean and neat with beautiful attention to detail - right down to the patterned teaspoons. Great selection of teas. The food is very good quality and the portions are ample. Dogs are very welcome and catered for. Highly recommended.

Had really high hopes about this place after reading reviews on a gluten free blog. Went in twice over a week in Mevagissey. The cakes were lovely with a few gluten free options which were a great find in Mevagissey. Unfortunately no gluten free scones are allowed to be taken away, eat in only. The staff were quite standoffish and rude when asked about take away service and scones, and unfortunately took away from the experience as a whole. It didn't make me want to come back and sit in for food.

Fantastic place and so welcoming - I really struggle to find places to eat as I'm gluten free and dairy free, and the only problem I had with this tearoom was that there was too much choice and I wanted everything!! My sandwich was lovely, and the gluten and dairy free cream tea was delicious - best scones I've had (almost couldn't believe they were GF)! They also had several GF DF cakes. Will definitely be visiting again when next in the area.

Our second visit here ever - but the first with my puppy & all I can say is just WOW! I’ve never felt so welcome and at home with my puppy - they refresh every table before you use it - they supplied a blanket, water and a treat for the dog when we sat down which was much appreciated as we’re training him in cafes at the moment & it was just so lovely of them as it helped a lot - it saved me bringing my own and carrying it around with me too which was a bonus! We brought him a puppuccino for £1.50 and it was worth so much more - specialist milk for dogs, treats at the bottom of the bowl, presented in a ceramic bowl and literally just made to feel as welcome as a human 🐾 The music, setting and staff give it such a great atmosphere. The selection of teas, scones and sweet treats is beyond extensive for the size of the cafe - thank you so much for the wonderful experience and your kindness ☺️

First, the warm welcome for all, the water bowl for our dog with a blanket and treats. Then the first question is "any allergies or dietary needs?' The tea, from England's only tea plantation was really nice and full of flavour, the timer to decide how strong you want it and the darling teacups to make it a proper tea. As for the warm vegan scone, jam and cream...it melted in the mouth! I cannot recommend this cafe enough!

We visited Cornwall and looked in multiple towns trying to find a good tearoom for cream tea. Teacup tearooms was truly a dream. The owners were kind, smiling and joking the customers. The scones were warm, the whole experience was perfect. My family had standard cream tea which was out of this world, I am vegan and they had amazing vegan options - I had a whole homemade vegan cream tea (which I didn’t think would be possible!) which looked exactly like the standard cream tea they offered and a vegan hot chocolate with whipped cream, which was amazing. I would recommend anyone in the area go. And will be telling everyone who goes to Cornwall to make a stop! Especially the vegans. Thank you ☺️

Stumbled across this little beauty which was a little pot of gold. A huge warning though when visiting humans don't get served first, the dogs do! These guys are amazing, they go above and beyond so many little extras hand saintizer on the table so u can spritz before u eat after loving your pet, there is dog beds and even dog blankets I didn't see any blankets for me but hey at least it was there for me pooch haha. The cream tea was amazing the scone was HUGE!!! couldn't eat it all so took home for later, the Victoria sponge well I don't think it touched the sides my hubby ate that like someone was gonna steal it from him. Buzz our black labrador was treated like a king biscuits fresh water and even had hes picture taken. I suggest if you are ever in this beautiful place your first stop should be the tea room trust me you won't regret it. I don't want to say this but this place could be so much more if the owners didn't have such an attitude. Consequently I'd say it was a case of average food, uncomfortable service. The food we ordered was ok, and the portion size was average for the price charged (post covid and price hikes this is the case everywhere now), but honestly, I don't think I saw the staff crack a smile even once. I found the male owner's general air very dismissive, as if us being there was an inconvenience for him. The place wasn't even busy, so I have to guess he is just like that normally. Given he's chosen to run this business we found his surly air, as well as the lady behind the counter, rather strange and off-putting. Add to the mix the fact that they spent their time in the food prep area gossiping / complaining about somebody and doing it loudly enough that everybody could hear, and it was really embarrassing for all of us customers! I for one wish we'd left before ordering lunch. It's not hard to be professional, smile and mean it, but perhaps the owners feel their 'award winning' reputation means they don't need to try any more. Personally I'd find somewhere else for lunch, or pack your own sarnies and go sit on the harbour with a take away coffee unless you want to spend your lunch listening to somebody have their character assassinated! I would have stayed for what looked to be like delicious scones, but honestly, I couldn't take what I could hear from the kitchen area any longer! Very uncomfortable.

Absolutely the worse customer service I have ever experienced , owners where very unwelcoming and rude in every every way , all I wanted was a gluten free scone as they where recommended as having best gluten free scones locally , they would not even give me a scone to take out . Both owners where rude and unwelcoming , avoid at all cost . Iv either in retail hospitality sector for a long time in a big organisation and was appalled by thier attitude being celiac is so hard to find safe food and they both shocked me with their customer service . I asked to take out a cream tea with my take out coffee as everyone where else I have been able to with no problem . They would not allow me to take a scone out as they do not want to litter harbour but were happy to serve coffee in paper cups which could have littered the harbour . We took out paper cups Back to them just so they can see not everyone letters harbour . Avoid at all cost - even the local told us that no local use them as they have a bad reputation with the locals . Looking at the owner answer to my honest review he’s also a lier and not an honest man , as I did ask for a cream tea to take out as they sold gluten free scones and was refused . The coffee I did take but as soon as I got out side I said to my mom that I felt like saying keep your coffee as you where both so rude

Such a lovely cafe, it's nice to support independent places and even better, they are VERY dog friendly. I loved all the quality touches, quirky tea pots on cork mats, beautiful engraved teaspoons and Polaroids of all their doggie customers on the wall. I noted that every table cloth was changed between customers and there was no scrimping on the clotted cream either! The portion sizes are very generous in general, for example, instead of a few crisps on the side of the sandwich, a small packet of Burts arrived. With all these lovely special touches I had to wonder how they make a profit, especially in these times, everything is bigger and better than you get at most places (and it's really not expensive), but I'm pleased they are as they have been going for 6 years (I think!) so long may they continue. Would definitely return.

Delicious scones and delightful tea. Let down a bit by the odd covid safety measures kept in place. A family had a young child who was “isolating” so at the end of our yummy tea I was told not to go past the family to the peruse the counter of cakes. Interestingly none of the family were wearing masks in this public restaurant. Very confusing. It did not seem logical or safe to have an isolating person in a public tearoom! Anyway, it was still a lovely Cornish cream tea. Edit following owners response: the fact we are doctors is neither here nor there. Of course, you may do whatever you please. Thanks for the lovely scones.

It has been a while since my visit to this fabulous tea shop but it impressed me so much that’s I even put it on my never ending to do list to review it and I’ve finally got around to it! Immediately as I walked through the door my mum and I were greeted with lots of passion and enthusiasm, and the beat bit I was asked if I had any allergies. I was already prepared for the fact that I wouldn’t be able to eat the deserts as I am dairy intolerant so went for a coffee, but to my surprise and delight they had delicious baked goods to suit everyone! So not only did I have a slice of coffee and pecan cake to go with my coffee but I took a chocolate and caramel tart home with me which did not disappoint! I loved how dog friendly the place was also and being bakers ourselves it was lovely to chat passionately with the staff about our common passion. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Huge scones, great locally sourced tea (I wasn't aware Tea was grown in the area but according to the waiter it is!) and a lovely helpful waiter. Very sweet and is definitely worth a visit.

Another wonderful visit to this fabulous place. Always friendly and welcoming, today we took our rescue dog Ozzy for his first visit. He got a treat, a blanket, a drink and lots of fuss. We had a gorgeous lunch and picked up some stunning scones to take away. Teacup tearoom is brilliant for gluten free and diary free too and everything tastes amazing. Thanks so much to our wonderful hosts. We’ll be back again soon.

This is an amazing place. So friendly and welcoming, made a huge fuss of our dog! Best scone too! We left our dog rucksack behind with his bowl and treats in it. The owners went out of their way to get it back to us. We can’t thank them enough. If your ever in the area pop in you will be sure of a great welcome with great food and service! Big thank you to you both. Laura, Adrian and Willoughby…x

My partner and I visited Grounded today and had the best toasties we've ever had. Plus the staff were super friendly. Can certainly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Too full to try the delicious looking cakes.

What lovely staff. To the lady I spoke to on Wednesday afternoon to the two chaps this morning, thank you. Your coffee is delicious and from speaking to two locals, they highly recommend your breakfast options! Can't get better than that.. Next time I visit, I shall sample your comestibles.
