Nice little village pub. Friendly locals and owners. Only small downside was the lack of heating although we still enjoyed our evening. We will definitely be back, see you in the autumn.

What a great pub! We visited on a Friday and managed to catch the open mic night. There was a great atmosphere and a very warm welcome from the landlords, whom we had a lovely chat and laugh with. There is a lovely selection of drinks too! Highly recommened, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. 😀

Wow! What a pub. Great landlords, prices and locals. Haven't been in a place like this for years. No food as the kitchen's awaiting refurb. It appears the pub is in good hands and is well worth the stank up the hill from my village

Newly reopened with new landlords, we walked up from Trengwainton gardens with quite a thirst! Nice atmosphere and a good selection of beers and spirits. Understand that food service will be happening when the kitchen has been refurbished, so looking forwards to that. Great to find Sea Fury and Twin Coasts both available on draught.

This a quaint 17th century village pub in Madron that I always visit when in those parts. It's always had a great atmosphere, very welcoming. New owners have recently taken over with nice plans for it which will include serving food,

As visitors over Christmas and New Year we received a very warm welcome from Landlords Trevor and Ian and from their regular customers. A lovely traditional village pub full of history and atmosphere and we are looking forward to our next visit with our spaniels who were also made very welcome.

This pub has a really good feel factor with nice decor. The outside looks small but it is a TARDIS so plenty of room inside and some cosy corners/seating so very comfortable. Trevor and Ian are very personable and attentive and greeted/chatted to us in mornings on our way out very good hosts. Spent two nights here would have liked to spend more but due to travel around Cornwall (minack etc) getting back too late and tired. We think on balance this was nicest pub we went to during our stay good selection of drinks especially gins with a side order of crisps nuts or pickled eggs!! It is in a small village so you need to know it's there or staying in the village but if you happen to be passing don't be fooled by small exterior Thank you both

Me and my partner went down to Trevor’s and Ian’s pub this weekend to visit around Cornwall. The pub was absolutely lovely and we were made to feel extremely welcomed and Trevor and Ian insured we were having an amazing holiday! The pub has an extremely old fashioned, cosy, good pub feeling to it and we ended up staying in and having a drink in there for the three nights we stayed as we loved it! We were well looked after and Trevor and Ian just added to the atmosphere of the pub and were also very good at remembering drinks orders and never leaving you with a dry cup, which is perfect when you are in the holiday spirit! We stayed in Trevor’s and Ian’s outside cabin room, we were blown away with how amazingly clean, tidy and well equipped the little apart was and you get an amazing place to stay for a very good price! The pub was perfectly located and only had short drive each day to go and adventure around the local beaches and had a lovely room and hosts to go back to at the end of a busy day exploring! Overall we absolutely loved our experience at the King William IV pub and we most certainly be going back to stay! Thankyou to you both!

Very good pub with interesting antique furniture and good beer at reasonable prices. Genuine antique Cornish customers will talk to emmets. No food available and would be better if hot pasties or snacks were sold.

First and foremost this is a pub. A bub, not a gastropub, or a pub that was a pub but isn't really a pub anymore. If you fancy a great pint, some crisps, peanuts and enjoy a fantastic environment then this is the place to go to. The landlords are very friendly as, indeed, are the locals and the decore is amazing. Plenty of nice furniture for a comfortable drink as well as standard pub tables and chairs. There is a range of chiming clocks and numerous interesting ornaments which I really liked. An off the beaten track visit is highly recommended and if in Penzance you can even go by bus, there is a stop right outside - check opening hours though.

There is a great selection of gin and rum. It was lovely to chat to a couple of people who lived locally, and were really helpful in giving us information about local sites of interest.

The King William V1 at Madron is a great pub it's a proper village pub very cosy & warm & the landlords Trevor & Ian are so welcoming & friendly & make you feel at home as soon as you go in & nothing is too much trouble for them. The atmosphere is very relaxing with gentle music in the background making it easy to chat to friends without having to shout. I love this pub & will be taking my relatives to it when they visit. During these uncertain times I can say that I felt very safe going in because they have all the safety measures in place, track & trace social distancing etc. I look forward to my next visit. Great place.

My partner and I were staying in a holiday let just a stone's throw away when we stumbled across this delightful little pub whilst out walking over the Easter weekend. Although we didn't stay too long, we both had a lovely pint of the local cider and were very impressed by the décor and atmosphere. It was a breath of fresh air being in a pub with settees, lamps and a lot of quirky decorations on the shelves, with no sight of any TV's, pool tables or gaming machines which seem to litter pubs these days. We only wish we had a little bit more time to enjoy a few extra pints but rest assured, we'll be back.

I have known Trevor for more years than I can remember, so when he told me of his new venture, I had to see it for myself, its taken me a few years to get here, but OMG, was it a worth while visit, I came for a few days, and its the best few days I've had for a very long time, we chatted, laughed met a few of the locals who were lovely and very welcoming, Its a real old fashioned pub, with a modern twist, and no TV screen to be seen !!! The new apartment he's had purpose built for holiday lets is like something out of a magazine, every detail has been carefully thought of, no expense spared, you wont be disappointed... I cant wait to go again,. This Pub is a hidden gem amongst beautiful scenery,.

We were in cornwall for a holiday and decided to call into the pub, as Trevor used to be an  old neighbour of my wifes many years ago. We were very suprised and pleased the pub had the feel of a real old village pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere Trevor and Ian who own the pub make you very welcome , it is nice to visit a village pub which has the feel of an old traditional one, in these days of rowdy pubs with flashing lights and noise it is an oasis of calm where you can hear yourself talk highly recommended and well worth a visit if you are in the area, we will visit again in the future
