On a Christmas night out for work. Quality. Food was fresh, hot and quality. An excellent buffet with pizza, fries, roast potatoes, nachos, cheese sticks, pigs in blankets etc. Amazing value for money. Staff couldn’t have been more attentive and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good Absolutely,100%, will return and probably arrange another works night here. Thanks for the best Christmas works venue we’ve ever used.

Possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had. It tasted like the Lidl essential version. The chips were overcooked and tasted like they were originally cooked a while ago and left in oil. The fish was dry, like it had been defrosted for a while. The batter fell straight off the fish, which was not crispy. We were very disappointed.

Our lunch of cod Chips and mushy peas was £15.95. About average. When the meal arrived I have never been so disappointed with a plate of food. One of those preformed ‘fillets’ like you get in a supermarket. Tinned (?) mushy peas and a handful (literally a handful) of what tasted like oven chips. I told a member of staff it was a poor show. I was told it’s difficult to get fresh fish in Looe. Really? Anyway the food wasn’t unpleasant but it wasn’t what you’d expect from pub grub and was very overpriced. I was offered a refund which I declined. I don’t want to leave the impression I whinge to get free food. When we left, the pub two doors down was offering hand battered cod and chips for £14.85.

Fantastic experience of customer service from Abby behind the counter and Stevie front of house. Big warm welcoming smiles even at the end of the day. A remarkable effort and a credit to the organisation.

Like something from Dante's Vision of Hell. With TV screens. A pub for all-day-drinkers (alcoholics), the long term unemployed (unemployable) and thick teenagers. Grossly unappealing groups of the lumpen proletariat usually gathered outside coughing their lungs out with roll-ups. Can't Wetherspoons make a bid for it?

Decent food, easy to order via app or at the bar and came out quick enough as well.

Mostly a locals bar as that's their mainstay, but catering for tourists also as it's next to the car park and bus terminal. Nice atmosphere, decor and a decent pint.
