Does what it says on the tin. Lovely room, comfortable bed. But you won't get drunk in the bar. Service very slow.

Went in to return a shirt that didn't quite fit right, only to be told that I couldn't have a refund, only an exchange or credit note. When I queried it they said 'We're only required to offer two of three options; refund, exchange or credit note, and we offer exchange or credit note.' So nice they smugly admit that out of the three options they deliberately picked the two that were worst for the customer. Once I've spent the credit note, that'll be the last money Frasers gets from me. Honestly, it's the kind of slimy behaviour you expect from Sports Direct, but now it's taken over House of Fraser, which used to be premium and in keeping with its higher-end clothing. In fact the place now has Mike Ashley written all over it - it's tired, there's more sticky tape than flooring as you make your way through the store, and the top floor is so bleak it feels like something out of 28 Days Later... A sad, depressing running into the ground of the brand.

Booked turkey and tinsel dinner waited 3/4 hour before any one came to take order Took order then came back 15 mins later said they didn’t have vegetarian option so said id have mushroom pie When dinner came out there was no stuffing or pigs in blankets

Bar staff with no sense of humour or customer service skills. Was refused a drink for no reason. Barman made up some lame excuse. The bar man then comes up to my friends to say sorry whilst I’m in the toilet. My white Friends… odd. After reading all the bad reviews I’m pretty certain now he didn’t like the colour of my skin.

I loved this place, generous helpings of delicious food. I had the same dishes two days in a row as I couldn't bear to have anything else. The staff are friendly at the till but I must say the service at table is a little less, but I liked it! They didn't pretend to be doing anything but serving food. Good selection of food, wine, beer and soft drinks. Food prices are slightly above average but what I had was generous and well worth it, paninis slightly less value in my opinion. My daughter lives locally so I will be returning.

New Years Eve dinner. It was superb! Each course was so well thought out and delicious. A combination of meats and fish. The chef is a genius.

Absolutely fabulous and friendly pub!!! The staff Ben & Lauren went that extra mile to look after us! Both so friendly!! Infact everyone in the pub was friendly and chatty and the food was exceptional! Such large portions and all home made!! Dog friendly too! Highly recommend this pub. The best in the village. Can’t wait to return again in the future! Well done guys, a fantastic job all round and the staff are an absolute credit to you! Even the chef was a great guy and his curry was amazing! See you soon 👍👏
