The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South West

Myself and My Wife Visted This Gorgeous Warm Welcoming Hotel For Lunch. The Food Was Excellent. Great Atmosphere. The Service Was Excellent. We Recognised Our Waiter From Another Establishment In Cornwall. After Chatting To Him We Discovered That We Both Worked For The Same Hotel In Oxford. He Was Very Attentive. Plenty Of Logs On The Open Fire. A Really Lovely Lunch. Thank You Damian.

Extremely disappointing. Food very expensive and accused of walking out without paying despite bill paid before food arrived !! Member of staff hadn’t cleared it from till and no apology made. We run our own business and would have no clients if we ran a business this way !,

A lovely pub and normally my go to for Sunday roast. Today I visited with my family who hadn't visited before and was rather disappointed by the whole experience. We had a 1 year old child with us, and seemed to have been forgotten about when it came to calling us up for our food. Tables who came in and sat after us went up before us, we ended up chasing 3 times before we were sent up. (I wouldn't say it was particularly busy either!) the food was lovely but cold. We spoke to someone at the bar when we ordered and asked if we would be able to have a small plate for the 1 year old, which seemed to be absolutely fine but when we asked at the carvery we were told we weren't allowed as we couldn't "share" food. A one year old child will not eat a whole roast, and I thought it was odd that we were expected to pay for a whole roast. One of our party was gf and this also felt like it was an issue. We also ordered a veggie roast to take away, and was told it would be 10 minutes. 35 minutes later we had to chase this again! Huge disappointment to be honest, and sad as we visit regularly

Stopped in for food. We had wild mushroom risotto. Absolutely delicious. It was a warm friendly environment.

Wow. There used to be a term ‘man’s pub’…well this establishment proves that they still exist. Yep, in 2024. Who’d have thought 🤷 Haven’t seen sooo much D in one drinking house since I was last in a gay bar in the late-90s - seriously, an item of hi-viz clothing, Brut aftershave and the habit of knocking off work early are clearly requirements to frequent this Weatherspoon’s. Not judging. Just saying. Me man. Me drink. Me like Britannia Inn. ME ROAR …after a couple of Stella’s.

We ordered our food and meals at 19:45. We ordered garlic bread to have as a side but came out as a starter. It took just under an hour for our main meals to come. Although the food took a long time it was very nice. I had steak which was cooked lovely. My partner had a burger but wasn't so impressed. The burger was okay but the portion size of fries wasn't brilliant. Due to it being a celebration meal for my autistic son who done well in his end of year school report I said I would treat him to dessert. Went to order dessert to be told " sorry but can't as kitchen is closed now ". If our meals didn't take so long then there would have been plenty of time to have dessert. It was safe to say my son was very disappointed. It would have been good if staff had asked if wanted dessert before the kitchen closed. Although it wasn't the most terrible experience and that there were postives there were negatives that could easily be rectified for the future.

Came for Sunday lunch with my children and partner we had a lovely lunch great portion sizes 🙂 was seated and served quickly as well! Definitely be coming back.

Love this pub. Found it the once, regular forever. Truly great local beers, and kind and friendly staff too. Just one thing: BRING BACK THE MENA STOUT!! It is the best stout in the world (possibly) and I want it back!

Bueno, nuestra experiencia del White Hart está totalmente en desacuerdo con los críticos anteriores. A la llegada la bienvenida fue cálida y amable. La habitación estaba bien equipada, cómoda, limpia y cálida. Hemos cenado y desayunado, ambos de excelente calidad. El servicio fue perfecto. Absolutamente, no hay problema en ser servido con bebidas. Nuestra estancia en el White Hart fue increíble relación calidad-precio. Así que no entiendo por qué otros han sido tan negativos críticos.

Run by thugs, happy to charge you £7 a pint then force you out the pub 8 minutes later by shouting and getting their mates (who don’t work there) to join in. Really embarrassing showing from all involved

Disgusting!!!! Place had two customers, tables full of dirty plates and glasses with the staff chatting at the bar.. one lady sat eating was about to eat her burger, until she picked it up and noticed all the fat running out of it... think I dodged a bullet

Great food and service. Friendly little cafe on a rainy day - what’s not to like.

Room was fine, unfortunately although we stayed two nights, the room was not serviced after the first night.. so mugs unwashed, no new tea bags etc. However it was over Christmas and there was a nice present.

Went there Tuesday lunchtime and it was very cold. Nice atmosphere and they did have a real ale but there are nicer places very nearby

The lids on all 4 coffees had all come off and the coffee had spilt out
