Morrisons in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Right the service was appalling my mother waited in line for a good while whilst I sat down on a table only to be told that it was taken with no reserved sign so I went to the next table only to be told again with no evidence that the table was occupied despicable service will not be returning any time soon.

Cheap crap food as you would expect. Now you have to order with the screen and hope no one takes your table whilst you are doing that. Then tables are filthy. No humans in sight. Truly an awful dining experience. Avoid at all costs

Wont be coming back until they let me have some ketchup with my breakfast.One sachet is not enough .

Absolutely disappointed, used to love coming here but how times have changed ,spent £30 on food to be told only one sachet of sauce per meal ,and that is strictly enforced ,overheard one of the staff with a gossiping tone that they just saw someone taking an extra one ,throwing dirty looks that would be more suited on the school playground ,and I haven't even got started on the butter portions and how they conveniently always seem to run out of food two hours before closing ..Sadly I won't be returning ,I shall be taking my big ole self to penzance morrisons that have lovely staff and plenty of sauce 😜

The staff are so friendly it is a treat to be there

No black pudding on breakfast. Not told this when I ordered and nothing used as a substitute but still charged the same... portion size smaller than previously experienced at this and other morrisons cafes. Very disappointing

Love meals but need more of the meals done in stead of running out.

Husband and I went in for breakfast leaving for home after lovely stay in Redruth , the staff were having a bit of a mix up with the food but our breakfast was lovely and the lovely very young tall female member of staff was so friendly and polite and they gave us a laugh as it was like watching an episode of Victoria Wood’s Dinner Ladies.

Terrible everything cold eggs hard wont be going there again not even to shop there

The cafe is absolutely filthy, greasy floors and when a member of staff was informed she replied 'yea I know but I don't know why' laughed and walked off. The food was not nice, the tables were also greasy! One member of staff was 'cleaning' the tables with no cleaning fluid and the same used cloth for each surface. Poor customer service, forgot half the food which we had to carry across the cafes slippery floor ourselves. Shocking.

Always a nice place for a coffee or a bite to eat

Looks nice never used it why would I pay for coffee when I can get it free at home

Unfortunately this fell short of previous breakfasts at Morrisons, staff were helpful and friendly but the food left a lot to be desired. Poor quality ingredients, over cooked and luke warm coffee, shan't go again 🙁

Lovely clean cafe with friendly staff

Shocking, went for breakfast on Sunday morning, ordered from the screen, not very good instructions on how to select a table (2 different systems in place) Waited 40 minutes for food, which we never got, hadn't started cooking after 40 minutes and it wasn't very busy. Staff seemed to not be trained. When we asked about food, manager was present and she blanked us offering no apology or explanation, was reluctantly given a refund, very poor won't be returning.

This is a very popular cafe within the Morrison store. It offers all day breakfast as well as other cooked food. Cakes, sandwiches and drinks. Good value for money.

The toast was only toasted on one side everything was cold paid 99p for one hash brown will not go there again the cafe or the store

We had to wait for over 35 minutes for our meal this was not the first time we had this happen to us it's just ridiculous they are always short of staff very very poor management puts you off going there.

Have eaten in here many times. A cheap meal out when can't be bothered to cook!

Last year we went in for Xmas dinner they had sold out ...,.. 12mths on went to Morrisons for Xmas dinner sorry no Xmas dinners...the restaurant was almost empty Oh dear wife had scampi and chips I was going to have fish an chips , no normal size fish ,,, only mini????? So I had sausage an mash. Gravy Meal arrived quickly I wondered why, we soon found out chips were not good ,looked very sad and they were cold. Scampi looked suspiciously pale but it was hot but never tasted good .... Mine mash was not hot sausages neither peas were different colours and cold gravy was hot but as plate was cold that soon cooled quickly. Oh coffee wasn't hot either...I will try ringing head office tomorrow and try and get a refund .. Wife now isn't feeling too good so wait and see if she suffers tonight

The place is very poorly run, they hardly ever have a full menu.

Had lunch with my friend..small breakfast was very nice... always enjoy the food in the cafe and reasonably priced...10/10

Went when down visiting my sister

Visited cafes in both Bodmin and Redruth. Redruth by far the best. Hotter food,better service and staff much more pleasant. Great value for money.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Dead fruit flies in the beans, disgustingly filthy tables and cutlery, everything is so dirty, the food is not worth it! I can’t believe I actually sat down to eat here

Not an upgrade, it’s a down grade. Minimal customer service, food mediocre, and the cleaners were cleaning the cafe half an hour before they were due to close, scraping tables and using a floor polishing machine making it so noisy my husband and I could not have a conversation because the noise was so loud. Not a pleasurable experience. We used to frequently visit the cafe before COVID but we will not be returning, I would rather buy fish and chips from any takeaway and sit in my car. 😤

we had fish & chips here a while back and it was pretty good although small portions but ok. so we went back and OMG it was awful the chips were somewhat burnt to an inch of their life ( what there was of them ) the peas tasted like they had been sitting in brine all day and were cold and the whole thing tasted like it had been fried in very old "used" fat/oil. most definitely will not be going back there any time soon complete waste of money. :(

Went for the £10 family deal in the cafe and couldn't fault it, amazing value. 👏

Arrived at 5pm ( open til 7pm ) we looked at the menu , chose our food and were then told only breakfast ,guessing kitchen staff went home early ....wont be going again !

Asked for fish and chips at 12 55 sorry no fish..!!! Supermarket with no fish. ?? Had a veg breakfast and a meat breakfast ..restaurant emptyish as per usual now... Waited 15 minutes or so for food ... When we got it plate was piping hot egg cold ex. chips cold bacon nicely shriveled and cold 1 mushroom cold one half Tom cold beans cold hash brown ok sausage ok . Egg had been cooked 10 mins before tasted a little rubber had to cut with a knife.bacon nearly inedible ..hash brown ok just cooked mushroom not good warm cold .. I like my food hot they put it on a plate then put it under a light warmer to keep it warm ...it really is not good ...you wait too long to get cold food ..the hottest thing was the plate .. Morrissons Redruth once had a good cook now they haven't The only reason I didn't complain was my wife didn't want me too WE WONT BE GOING TO EAT THERE NO MORE .. FOR GOODNESS SAKE GET SOMEONE TO GO ROUND CLEANING .. permanently . They are not understaffed. The kids cooking don't like working... Really upset we used to like going there for a treat

Sorry only 3 star for Saturday...I arrived at a quiet time paid for fish and chips at till...no one at till just me I choose to sit right by cooking area and expected to be served daily quickly as they had a pile of chips ready but no fish.. I was in a hurry so I thought good... I waited for quite a while and nothing happened the people on the next table along went up twice asking where their food was ... Looking over I could still see the same pile of chips. ,",,keeping warm,,," then.i saw a piece of fish arrive put under heat .. two or three minutes later fish was still say there... In the time prevíus the young girls who were meant to be serving were chatting and laughing ...a rare occurrence happened as someone was going round clearing tables ..a few of the staff were leaving and having a cuddle etc . Two staff stood staying at the orders on the computer screen and my fish was still there and a container of chips ...,.. So I walked up to till and asked for a refund as I was running out of time ..and mentioned that the fish had been stood there a while and the chips in the Bain Marie were going to be cold /warm anyway The reply was new chips were just coming and fish had only just been put there... I had a refund and was on my way ..the staff were too friendly with each other rather than too worried about serving people.. Oh I had to clean my table when I arrived

There are only 3 staff, no where near enough for the number of customers, the staff are excellent, courteous and pleasant, but totally over whelmed. Food was good and did not take too long, considering the number of customers. There was no sugar,how can a cafe in a supermarket have NO Sugar. No tea spoons and the cutlery, had been washed, but still remained dirty.

Bank hoilday monday, breakfast half price which is great but our experience was absolutely awful with 3 young children made our order at 09.47 waited over 2 hours for our order which ment our children missed breakfast and was classed as lunch. Not very happy as they were short staffed so they shouldnt of taken so many orders which they could deliver out on time. Many people who came in after us received their order before us. When we asked numerous times where and how long our order would be kept on getting not long. Very bad experience for us as family who very rarely go out to eat. Will NOT be using them again and will NOT recommend to anyone. Morrisons in pool!

What can I say... Good value simple food, well prepared and presented.

Went for breakfast as usual and very disappointed. Full breakfast has changed and only one kind on offer. Also price has shot up to £5.95 and really wasn't very nice and took much longer than usual. The cafe was empty at 1pm which is most unusual and maybe because of the current covid situation. But i suspect a lot to do with prices and restricted menu. We usually pay under £12-15 for 3 of us and now £22. Can't see there is a good reason for this. Will find somewhere else to eat. Also the lady on checkout was wearing her mask not covering her nose.

Staff and service good but compared to pre lockdown, breakfast is poor value. I used to get an ultimate breakfast and a coffee for around £7.50 now the full breakfast and coffee costs around the same but the breakfast is only half the size. 2 sausages not 3, 2 rashers of bacon not 3, 1 egg not 2, 1 hash brown not 3, 1 slice of black pudding not 2, no fried bread, just a scraggy piece of toast whether you want it or not. You also used to be able to change the parts you didn't like for others, now you can only remove them. I used to go at least once a week, now I will avoid altogether. If you want a breakfast to set you up for the day don't bother with this.

Went to pool Morrisons cafe was not very good one member of staff acting around dancing one what serviced us made mistake on order won't b using it again also gave us cutlery not in a napkin

Clean and tidy as quick as they could be. Great food

Breakfast was excellent can choose exactly what you want , pay at the till and it was delivered to the table there was six of us, four adults and two children. The staff were very helpful could not fault any of them

Well thought out one way system and PPE in place. We had a bacon sandwich and a hot drink which was good enough to fill a gap. Plenty of car parking spaces and as I say good Covid19 plans, with staff all pretty diligent.

Pre Covid-19 review. It can get very busy and then service suffers. Dishwashers don't get cutlery out quick enough so food is going cold while waiting for clean cutlery. Food is ok.

A group of meet up regularly for a catch up and breakfast, Morrisons offer a good breakfast at a great price, plenty of seating and quick service.

Their food is amazing. And all the staff are really friendly and will help whenever there is an issue

Large car park, clean and tidy store, friendly and efficient staff, good food well cooked, reasonable prices, what more can you want from a big store restaurant ? Will certainly call again when in the area.

Grandson and I have been going here since he was 18 months old. The food all cooked fresh best quality ingrediants, from Morrisons, plus Hienz Beens! served piping hot? Service fast, restuarant clean and pleasant, a place where families can relax with children of any age? Thier fish and chips, better than most fish and chip shops! and with mushy peas, not from tin. Would I recommend you bet I would.

Fantastic value for money, portion sizes are fairly large and the staff are really friendly and helpful. You can order from a touch screen or from the counter, to be honest I love these old style grab a tray and walk along the counter type cafes so I prefer the personalised interaction rather then ordering from the screen.

Please could you have some of the small trolleys inside as they were before, we have to come and eat and then go back out to get trolleys, I as a lot of people who shop with you are disabled. Thank you Irene

Fantastic well cooked breakfast

I’ve always had an issue with the amount of time queuing in Morrison’s cafe, so it was really good to see that they now have an automated food ordering and payment machine, the food then being delivered to your table. Unfortunately that doesn’t extend to drinks, where the usual Morrison’s problems still exist - this time there were no mugs provided, after a short wait an assistant brought me a couple - and the chocolate powder for the cappuccinos couldn’t be found anywhere. The breakfasts we ordered came quite quickly and were hot and tasty.

Awesome huge cooked breakfast for 6 quid. Highly recommended.

The big daddy breakfast wasn't very good the black pudding was burnt the fryed bread was really hard and the hash browns were over cooked this is the opinion of 4 of us that ate it .

Went today both of us had the breakfast , waited 25mins to order at the counter , lost track of time waiting for the food , the food was not even hot obviously been under heat lamp as scrambled egg was like rubber , black pudding and fried bread was hard as rock , within an hour I was very ill , will not be returning.

Cooked breakfast ok but hash browns over cooked with bacon under cooked. Had to change poached egg as was hard

I had a small breakfast here and it was excellent value and it was more than adequate for a regular sized human, unfortunately I'm not regular sized but I can't blame that on Morrisons.

Visited with my Wife and Babies recently, primarily for my Wife to feed. I was surprised at what food was available. My Wife had a cream Tea and I had a coffee, however it was really busy and full of families a children under a certain age Free! Hence the popularity!

Good food at very reasonable prices, served by polite and helpful staff. Very busy at peak times.

Decided to have a quick lunch between visiting the dentist and shopping at Morrisons. There was quite a choice of food and included drinks and desserts. There are lots of tables which were very clean as was the whole cafe. The food is cheap and good for families, as there is a childrens menu. We had a prawn sandwich plus included crisps and an egg mayonnaise sandwich with included crisps. One of us had an egg custard tart and the other had a toffee pecan yum yum. I also had a very nice hot chocolate. The cafe is open for a lot of the day.

A nice a clean cafe located inside of Morrisons. Standard quality food of which is fairly priced. I would recommend if you're having a small meeting or some such. Coffee is very good, and the service is very quick.

I'm afraid the Salmon Pasta was not a Salmon Pasta! It was a Macaroni Cheese with a microscopic amount of almost invisible Salmon! Sent it back! My wife had Beer Dumpling Stew! hard dumplings served with very rich sauce and a couple of small bits of meat! What's happening to Morrison's Cafe!!?

The place needs altering to the other Morrisons cafes,where you order at the start of the queue,then pay at the other end. Then get your drinks at a drink machine separate from the food queue. The system at Redruth is just not working. It's nothing to do with how hard the staff work. It needs sorting.
