Booked on line Nov 23rd for a booking on 9th Dec. Had immediate confirmation. Received reminder 2 days before. We arrived at the restaurant we discovered it was all boarded up and looked like it had been closed for months. Website still up and taking bookings

I have lived in the area for 38 years and i have past the Wheatsheaf countless times.. But this time we decided to stop and give it a try for Sunday dinner. I now have One regret , that i had not visited this little Gem much, much sooner.. We were greeted by Mikey, He exuded a genuine welcome and warmth to us the moment we walked in.. The Sunday Roast was excellent . My Son and Granddaughter tucked into a home made Chocolate Brownie .. there only complaint was that couldn't have a second helping !! I am sure that it won't be long before we visit again

Its a shame because the food is really good, but the rules just get weirder and weirder… they have been limiting times to an hour for a while which ok, its not very big so I understand when its busy, however they insist on telling you this every time you arrive which I find really off putting. Surely a polite notice on the wall (its already written on the menu) is sufficient and then if people have stayed over that time and people are waiting you approach to tell people rather than announcing it before you even say hello. This is now accompanied by telling you which table you can sit on if you are a 2 and not a 4, they want u on the worst table as its easier to access the back tables if 2 people are sat at that table…. Now I asked specifically if I could sit at a back table and I was told no… within seconds of sitting down another 2 arrived and were sat at the very table I requested to sit on. This system is ludicrous as the worst positioned table that they insist you sit on still has 4 chairs around it, so surely it would only have 2 chairs, and you should fill tables on a first come first served basis the last in gets the rubbish table and after that people then either wait for a table or go else where, very bizarre. After the next couple arrived they allowed us move to another table as it was quite awkward, then another couple were told the same as us and walked out (good on them) so actually lost business over it. In the 45 mins we were there (very conscious of not over staying) 2/3 tables were free at all times so the system backfired and lost them custom. It is a shame as I always enjoy the food but I am afraid the customer service takes away from the experience and I will be trying new places instead.

Struggled to find anywhere dog friendly and was recommended this place by a local. Small seating area but they managed to squeeze us in. The full English was outstanding and my partner cleared his plate which was meant it was 5*. Will definitely come back as great food at reasonable prices albeit long wait.

Had coffe with friends, best cheese scones ever and excellent value. Breakfasts looked good too and such a worthwhile xharity.

A recommendation from a group member and it delivered a good lunch. The place is vintage, shabby chic and eclectic which made it more interesting however, the apparently tarnished soup spoon was slightly off putting for one of us. The sandwiches are doorstops but tasty.. The service was efficient. I’ll return and bring my husband this time!

This cafe is great. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff, who serve great value food in the best English cafe tradition. A very satisfying meal, can sit outside overlooking the cricket green if warm and sunny, long may they continue! Worth stopping by if you are hungry and passing Snodland.

Found this hidden gem today inside the antiques shop in Snodland High Street. Staff were really friendly and food was excellent.
