Proper pub - no food, no chrome or smoked glass. Always had a warm welcome from staff and pub locals. Pool table and good juke box. Always enjoy a visit here. If you're after cocktails and gastro dining look elsewhere.

First visit to this really nice place and it won'tbeour last. Very friendly staff who make you feel like a regular and make you very welcome. We had a truly very enjoyable lunch, and the homemade burgers are an absolute must. These 🍔 are 5 stars and at an extremely reasonable price.

Thankfully, no longer a members bar. Friendly barman. I would have enjoyed the inside of the pub more if there wasn't horseracing playing loudly on a big TV. Outside needs a lot of work. I'm sure it'll all improve.

I visited this reopened pub on Saturday, I initially came in for a few ales but got tempted to go for food. When I ordered food a few people in the pub looked at me in a rude way and one young lad was even laughing, I felt abit intimidated but still got my meal. The pie and chips was literally a microwave job some Aldi beef pie with uncooked chips, normally I would’ve complained but due to the unfriendly vibe I decided to just leave. This is not a family environment loads of men throwing darts and often missing the board being a health hazard to children and someone nearly took one of their mates eye out with the pool cue and just laughed it off Maybe I visited on a bad day which is unlucky but this just feels like a booze up. I work in health and safety so can’t help but get annoyed every few seconds as this is a health and safety nightmare. The place did smell strange like a mixture of old ale and vape pens of some sort. Won’t be returning in a hurry.

My friend and I stayed there overnight, and we couldn't recommend this place more! The pub is lovely and has a large outdoor area. The food is excellent, even the vegetarian options. Bonus point for the owner's cute dog! The rooms were brand new (had just been refurbished), clean and very comfortable. Towels, shampoo, coffee / tea amenities, and TV were included. A clear 10/10!

Dropped in here as part of a pub crawl. Great selection of beers, including Neck Oil, which one of our party greatly enjoyed. Lovely beer garden, with rattan sofas, chairs and benches with cushions etc. On the downside its on a main road so you do get a bit of traffic noise when sitting in the beer garden, but this did not detract from our enjoyment. Shame I don't live in the area, as if I did this would become my local. Simon.

The outdoor bar and pub garden are fantastic, very good service and really reasonable prices on drinks. Stayed the night in one of the double rooms - £85 for a Saturday night - lovely room, well set out and well decorated. Very clean. The only thing that let the room down was there was only one set of towels, and they were standard George at Asda. £85 for a room - and that doesn't include breakfast - you could stretch to some nicer towels and a set per person staying. Maybe some nice soaps, nice body lotions available. A disposable shower cap. It's the little things that really make a room and people do expect it for that price.

We visited the Wheatsheaf with our friends for a comedy night. It was a very enjoyable evening, as you are up close to the comedian's which makes it more enjoyable. If you want too sit down for the evening it is better to book seats at the time of booking, seats go very quickly so need to book early, otherwise you have to stand in the bar area. The staff are very friendly and attentive, we are going back again for the next comedy night, towards the end of the month, can not wait.

We came here tonight with the intentions of moving on into the local high street. We enjoyed it so much here that we stayed put. The staff are so welcoming and lovely. The drinks prices are fair and they also serve food. In addition to this there was also a large screen for sports to be shown. There is a lovely beer garden with furniture. The Wheatsheaf also host frequent comedy nights. I have also been to one of these and I highly recommend (£14 seated and £12 standing). This pub isn’t owned by any of the big corporations so it is very much like your typical local pub. Definitely our new regular haunt!

A locals pub that by chance serves dinner. The locals are welcome, the decor is nationalistic. I love the humorous paraphernalia dotted around. The small, pedestrian seating area on the upper floor area is comfortable offering a good view of whole pub. The service is warm and relaxed, but the food unfortunately lacks quality compared to its sibling independent pubs. An easy walk home if you live in West Malling.

Well it was ok that’s all I can say. Nothing stood out to make me want to go back there it was just ok. The place could do with a clean and it did lack atmosphere but the food and service was ok. To compete with other restaurants in the area they really need to step up their game.

Great little family pub very friendly/welcoming. After looking at the revamped menu I thought I’d give it a whirl , I opted for the Rib eye steak the Diane sauce wasn’t on the menu but the chef Josh told me it wasn’t a problem he’d make one up, my wife and son both opted for the burgers (homemade by the way) they , like my steak meal were to die for. In all it was a fantastic meal cooked to perfection for a reasonable price. I WILL BE BACK 😜

I recently had my 40th birthday celebrations at The Wheatsheaf. We were incredibly fortunate as the weather was brilliant so we were able to use the newly refurbished garden area which is lovely. A lot of my guests commented about how nice the food was. I have also been for a weekday lunch and Sunday lunch recently and would highly recommend both!

I absolutely adore this place! It's an amazing place to go and relax. The beer and drinks and very fairly priced (not like the steep prices that you pay down the high street). The food made my Chef Josh is just delicious - you will get a very decent portion of yummy food for an amazing price. Would recommend the Sunday roast but be sure to book as it does get very popular for a Sunday lunch/dinner. And if it's a beautifully sunny day, the beer garden out the back is a lovely place to be. Can't rate this place enough - you really have to go and see for yourself.

There are some excellent walks for my dog and nothing better than a beautiful flat walk in great countryside followed by a quick beer in the Wheatsheaf. Dog friendly, good beer selection friendly staff and fantastic food and all at prices you expect 40 miles from London, i.e. not London prices.

Stayed at Terry's Pub as part of a tour supporting 'Beating Bowel Cancer'. Terry made us welcome straight away; a good stocked bar with decent ales and great ciders! The food was excellent home cooking, My mate and I had Liver and Onions which was just like my mum made aeons ago, plenty of it at a realistic price! The accomodation was adequate and clean and is in the process of refurbishment, but doesn't distract from it's comfortable clean rooms and good showers. If you need a quick stop over with good food and beer and an interesting bar (complete with large screen TV etc) this is a good start.

Great local pub and staff are always friendly. They do some classic pub food served very casually - no gastro prices here! Sports are normally on but there's places to sit away from that if you like. Pool table at the back too. There's also some great local history which is worth looking into, especially if you're interested in world war 2. A spitfire crashed in the rear garden and some relics from that are on display, and a plaque dedicated to the pilot is above the door. There is a detailed display about a German Heinkel He111 bomber (serial number 3233, V4 + KL of 3/KG1) which crashed nearby stocks green and was displayed in the front car park to raise money for the spitfire fund during the Battle of Britain
