Ruby's at the Medway Inn in Tonbridge and Malling

Chicken always seems to be dry in their dishes these days. Not moist at all and it has been dry the last 3 times we have ordered from there. Disappointing.

Wow if you visit Mon-Thurs between 6 and 8pm it’s happy hour for food and drinks! Amazing value for money! The food is lovely and the staff are amazing, we are definitely going back here in the next few weeks. I advise that you book as even at 6.30 it was busy. Couldn’t fault it! Lovely bar for a drink afterwards too

Went with friends for a sit down. Service was quick and efficient. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was nice. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely visit again. 👍

The Sunday roast meal was fine, but we were booked in for 1.00 pm. Arrived on time and ordered our choices pretty quickly . Food arrived at 2.00pm, which was a long time to wait with two small children, a 3 year old and a five year old.

Not very impressed this time guys not sure what’s happened as it Allways been good previously, rice was ok, nan bread was ok, the korma was like water, the bhuna did not have much spice or taste the prawn starter was also dreadful

The nanny bread was disgusting. It was ment to have minced meat in it and when it arrived the meat was tiny and just tucked in the corner. so I ended up with plain naan. NOT IMPRESSED.

Lovely meal we had our 4 year old with us and the waiter was really good with her!. Lovely atmosphere only a small restaurant we were a walk in that was no problem. We enjoyed our evening meal . Food was good only thing I thought the sorce on the prawn cocktail could have been thicker apart from that very enjoyable. I was directly sat in front of the air con it was a bit cold but I'm sure if asked they would have turned it down. Very friendly staff.

I've ordered from here before, but I've now decided to leave a review. The food is great, I would definitely recommend it, every time I've ordered its arrived fairly fast, and hot, the food is delicious 10/10

not as good as normal. all abit oily and mushy. bhuna and jalfazi were poor. Vindaloo the meat was more like soft beef than lamb. also asked for mushroom rice and got pilau.

Popped along for a curry with Management and her friend. Nice evening, great service and very friendly, and lovely place. However, I have to be honest, the food was very bland. Bell pepper stuffed with lamb and herbs starter, very tastless, you wouldn't know there was lamb in it, and I have no idea what the "chefs special herbs" contain, but I can only guess at three different types of flour. Chicken madras and mushroom rice for main, rice was OK, but the madras was the same consistency as chinese takeaway curry sauce, minus any flavour, but at least it had a little heat - just a little, nowhere as much as a madras should have. Sag Aloo was also devoid of flavour, and very watery, like the spuds had been over cooked and were about to become Sundays mash. Real shame as I had really been looking forward to it.

Enjoyed our meals tonight. Chicken Tikka masala was not very spicy but enjoyably sweet and deliciously cooked chicken which tasted lovely. Lamb biryani was amazing, meat was tender and juicy. Lovely rice and naan breads. Will definitely re order.

As usual, every thing was delicious. This is our favourite Indian restaurant and we can’t recommend it enough.

everything was great and quality would have been 5 stars except that one of our orders was incorrect - we ordered a veg item and it contains meat which we cannot eat.

I was given the wrong order although some items appeared the same. I started eating before I noticed, which was an innocent mistake. I was then made to feel as though I'd done something wrong by the delivery driver (who gave me the wrong order to begin with); he was very condescending. Needless to say l won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered the chicken naga really hot as it should be, I do prefer my sauce a little thicker but on the whole couldn’t fault the quality taste and price.

Sadly, on Saturday it did not meet our usual expectations. The food was bland, a very loose sauce - it was watery. Lacked substance and flavour. & the price had gone up, so disappointing all round. We will be going elsewhere for curry night!

Booked table at Medway Inn, easy enough, arrived at establishment, greeted by a young lady, informed her of booking, shown to table, drinks and food ordered at bar, 3 drinks £15(J2O, raspberry voddie n lemonade & Shipyard ale). Asked if were members(sadly no, 10% discount for members) Food ordered, 2x Cow n chicken bun & Tuna melt jacket spud, side of onion rings, £38.65, tuna melt spud was a hit with daughter, Cow n Chicken bun, never tried before, didn’t know what to expect, how ever was very nice, well cooked, ample portions of chips to accompany. Dessert ordered, sticky toffee pudding and custard & hot chocolate fudge cake, both delicious. One criticism is that it states home made food, however cow (beef burger) tasted manufactured or shop bought, chips appeared manufactured or shop bought. On a personal note of my good lady & myself, cow n chicken bun needed a cheeky wee cheese slice between burgers. All in all, great wee pub, delicious food, helpful and courteous staff, not the cheapest, but no where near expensive. Will visit again and recommend friend to use. P.S. how does one become a member..?

Great value and speedy delivery.

This was the second time ordering from here and unfortunately it wasn't as good as the first. My curry was overly watery, to the point I had to mop up the excess with some kitchen roll. My partner had coconut rice and ended up throwing that away as it had a strange taste. The naan bread was a bit dry too. Probably won't order from there again 😞

We have ordered from here multiple times however this order was not the usual standard. Curry was extremely watery and full of oil on the top.

Prawn Kashmir is meant to contain bananas but there were not any in my meal. The onion bhajis were dripping with bright yellow grease and it had dripped out onto all the other food containers in the bag. Very unpleasant. Also I got a message at 7.05pm to say food was on its way but it arrived at 7.40pm! It was even marked as delivered 20 minutes before it arrived.

Unfortunately a lump of something that certainly wasn’t chicken in the Butter Chicken and sauce very deep dark red in patches. Rest was ok though.

The best curry ever and always. Lamb madras was superb as always with such tender lamb. Thanks again Ruby’s 🥰

an hour for delivery on a Saturday is just about ok, but when reality turns into a hour and 25 minutes then it becomes disappointing...

Over 45mins late and when I rung restaurant they said it was out for delivery. When I rung back they said they were waiting got a driver, so they lied

Went in to collect a takeaway, my order wasn't ready so I was told to go and wait in the pub, I refused as was there to collect my dinner and not stand in a pub on my own as a young female. Perhaps need to rethink set out if offering takeaway as not everyone is going to want to wait in a busy pub. Food was very disappointing, wasn't hot, lamb passanda tasted funny and the lamb seemed to be very chewy (perhaps cheap meat used) also had lamb tikka starter and the meat again was very tough.

As others have experienced, the customer service here isn't very good at all. We had a sit down meal for a family members birthday. The food was mediocre, but the very surly and sour staff really do spoil the dining out experience. If you are used to eating out where the staff try to enhance your experience, to get you to come back, and for you to continue spending money, you will be massively disappointed. There's are plenty of other restaurants you can go to, where the staff actually make you feel like they want you there. Would not recommend.

Was Absolutely Gutted With The Food We Was Recommended Too Try This Place… When The Food Came It Wasn’t Hot, There Was Very Little Flavour Too The Curries.. Chicken Was Like Rubber, Onion Barjis Where Well Over Cooked. wouldn’t Be Ordering From Here Again..

I have always used Ruby's as my go to Indian take away and I have NEVER had a bad meal....but tonight (and the previous meal we ordered) have been OFF THE CHARTS good! The lamb in the vindaloo literally melted in the mouth, the containers were packed with food, and delivery was quick - please carry on doing what you are doing and you have a customer for life here!!!

3rd time from ordering but tonight just bland..

Delivery driver left my food while going into a shop. Food arrived cold, curry was just tomatoes & onions little sauce. Lemon rice had huge chunks of zest & inedible.

Unfortunately the food was cold by the time it arrived.

What alovely roast we had lovely starters mains n deserts there was ten of us food was gawjus staff friendly lovely decor n was nice n cosy

My order of Chicken Dhansak had no rice accompliment with it and the order was 20 minutes late This is only the 2nd time I have ordered from Ruby's and must say I am quite disappointed with the outcome ofboth meals.

Best Indian takeaway in the area, nothing compares

Love this restaurant normally. On this occasion....the meal has violently upset my stomach and I can't stop ejecting all it ate and I can't even keep after down Never ever known such a violent reaction in many many years to a takeaway

The food is always great! But ordered at 7 and it wasn’t delivered until after 8.30 so took a while. I understand it’s a Saturday night, but still think shouldn’t have to wait over an hour and a half

Arrived quickly after ordering, delicious byriani, the Thali was a delight, lots of different flavours.

Nice food, however for the 2nd week in a row the order was wrong. Ordered 1 Keema naan and received 2 plain naans.

I used this takeaway a few months ago as friends recommended it and was pleasantly surprised it is in fact much better than where I have ordered my curry’s from for the last 12 years! Money has been a bit tight over the past couple of months but tonight my husband and I ordered l😊 The food was hot when it arrived, A really polite and friendly man delivered the food, it tasted lovely, we look forward to the next time we can afford to order again!

Always delicious, authentic and never greasy. Each dish tastes freshly made and not from a generic sauce. Recommend every time!

Cannot fault the food, it is absolutely delicious. However, the service itself is quite upsetting. We have done both food in the restaurant and takeaway and the service we received were bad. The waiters would openly be rude to us and talk badly about us behind our back, as if they do not want anyone to be there. Bear in mind, we were the only diners in the restaurant at the time during the evening. When ordering delivery, we had 3 hours delay and every time we spoke to them on the phone, they were rude. The food is the reason that I'm giving it 3 stars, but the staff and management would do with a refresher in customer care skills.

Lovely roast dinner today, me,my partner, 3 children and the dog sat outside and had our roast, 2 pints of coke and 3 slush puppies all for less than 45 quid bargain and decent grub even includes cauliflower cheese 👍

Love eating in. However they have a delivery driver for their take away with a red Toyota iygo who is the rudest woman. She was 15 minutes late and was lost, refused to follow directions and threatened to drive off. We had to walk 10 minutes to meet her. She shouted at us and at a neighbour. Only bad experience with them but may be best not to order take out from here.

Flavours were not great, tasted re-heated and not fresh with a sour after taste.
