We visited Paws cat cafe for my daughters 17th birthday. As cat lovers this was perfect for us. We have three at home but, it was still lovely to come visit the cats here. The cats were so friendly and came round in their own time, the cheeky blossom was lovely. The staff were so friendly and willing to stop and tell us more about all the cats. We loved the booklet about each cat and how they had been rescued. The scones were too die for and we managed to get the cream out of blossoms way. The hot chocolate and other bits were perfect. Highly recommend a trip here when lockdown is over.

Really lovely staff who all know a lot about each cat which was nice. I liked how seating was limited for both the cats and the social distancing. Food is nice and well presented. Love place to go :)

Such a lovely little cafe, you can tell a lot of love goes in to the operation of the place! The cats are super friendly and have loads of toys and things to keep them (and visitors!) busy having a lovely time. The extra precautions put in place at the moment due to the ongoing Covid situation made me feel super comfortable visiting, and the place was cleaned to a high standard. This definitely won't be my last visit to Paws!

We visited today! It was great here, very friendly, lovely atmosphere, cat were lovely and they cater for all dietary types (being a coeliac) this was nice as not many places do cater for that. The only downside was there wasn’t too much seating, which is probably why you need to book to get in

I have been to a couple other cat cafes, and in comparison the prices are a lot better than the others, and the staff, particularly the manager and owner are so welcoming and try so hard to please every customer that comes through the door. As I volunteer there now, I see a lot of different people in and out and the volunteers and staff always try to accommodate in any way they can. The food is so delicious (I recommend the chocolate cake and sausage roll) and only ÂŁ5 entry for an hour is very fair, especially as some others are ÂŁ15+ just to enter! 100% worth a visit

Had been bought a voucher by my parents for a cream tea and although the cream tea was nice with a scone and cup of tea, I was disappointed with the other selection of food on offer. The quiche and sausage roll ordered were not of the best quality. Also it is quite small. Having been to a similar experience in Manchester this definitely feel below my expectations. Cute cats though.

I came to the cafe this afternoon with my boyfriend and we loved it! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were delightful. Could not fault the service at all and just a short walk from Tonbridge train station. I liked that they had rules and that everyone followed them to respect the cats and the food we had was lovely and fairly priced which meant we did not mind paying the entrance fee as it all goes towards the cats. Overall a wonderful visit and an amazing cafe.

The cats are super friendly and staff really polite. There are quite a few cats from lovely old placid ones and a couple of older kittens. They are clearly well loved and looked after which makes for a fabulous atmosphere. Only a few tables which makes it a pleasant experience and plenty of space for the cats to roam, climb and wander about. However the down side was the food - the scones were lovely but the quality of everything else was not good at all. The food was not great and because clearly microwaved as it cooled the food went hard. One of our cakes had mould on the side so no idea how old it was. If I visit again I will just have a drink. The food and drinks are served in cute cat inspired cups and plates.

It was absolutely amazing. The cats are all babies and shnuggling with them was a great experience. If I was able to I would have stolen Frank the sweet deaf cat who accepted many pattos. The cake was really good too but the best part by far was squeeing over the little peets, toe beans and bellies and all other parts of the cats and having my pattos accempted and enjoyed.

Such a friendly place, the ladies that run it are really nice and friendly. The menu is limited but the cake was really good. I can't wait to go back, in fact when I am in Tunbridge next I will go in if they are not booked up. You pay a ÂŁ5 donation and that goes towards the care for the cats. They are all rescue cats and are all so well cared for there. Great for people that need to escape the hustle and bustle of life!

Tiny portion of just quiche no side salad, quiche looked like a cheap one from supermarket it had no flavour so my grandson gave it to me, same with the scone. Visited here with my mum as always wanted to go. Was lovely to see the cats happy in their environment and obviously well cared for - the cafe experience itself I was a little dissapointed in. I thought maybe the staff would talk through the cafe and the cats more, how they came to be with them, their back story as would make it more engaging. Food wise, had a cold sausage roll that wasnt warmed up, ended up leaving (although one cat did try to get it Haha) and a warm milkshake. I didn't think when planning trip that kids were allowed in, however was on present whose mum just let run around and chasing cats with no one really telling him not to as per rules so cats arent disturbed. But tbh this should have been down to the mum also maybe - would maybe go back if could book like a private session as it does get cramped out, and better food, but would not go out of my way. All being said keep up the good work ladies - would say engage your customers more, as would love to hear about the cats stories

We visited the cat cafe this weekend. Firstly we are all cat mad and seeing the gorgeous felines was the best bit. Other than that our experience was very poor. We had a Groupon voucher and we got sat down and menus were thrown onto the table. No explanation of what we could have with our voucher or any effort of smile. I had to go up and ask what we could order. Never recieved the gingerbread cat we were supposed to and were told if we wanted something else the difference would only have to be paid. Seems we paid for everything anyway without recieving what we paid for. One particular member of staff with long curly hair extremely rude, barged past me a few times whilst I was stoking a cat and not one excuse me. Told us we had ten mins left and never once asked if our visit was OK, did we want anymore drinks etc. Having a business myself I couldn't believe how somebody would employ staff without training them in common curtesy let alone having basic customer service skills. The staff sadly looked more like they were off to a festival than being staff. If this was my business it would have returning customers constantly because I would ensure they had nothing but fantastic customer service skills and more importantly make customers feel welcome. Poor.

Easy to book or take a chance and just walk in. Various prices - basic entry fee then add your food/drink option. The cafe is spacious and comfortable, more like a furniture showroom! All the cats are gentle with each other and customers. We enjoyed excellent service, part taking of the cream tea. There are toilets upstairs. Accessible toilets are across the car park in Sainsburys. The one hour booking is sufficient time to enjoy a tea and stroke some of the cats and watch their antics. It was a very restful and calming experience. We will certainly look to go again when in the area.

Unlike the previous reviewer, myself, my husband and a good friend had a delightful time today at the Cat Cafe. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady who gave us a book with photographs of various cats, explaining their backgrounds and what their temperaments were. I had bought a coupon from Groupon which entitled us to entry, a hot drink and a gingerbread cat, there were more options of drinks and food but we were happy with what our coupon entitled us too. There was a teenage boy in there too who made us feel very welcome and explained bits and pieces of how the cats are looked after. We would all be happy to pay an entry fee as the cats need feeding and caring for. It’s not a run of the mill cafe and if you like cats it’s worth a visit.

I must start by saying that this is my very first TripAdvisor review. As I never felt compelled to write a review about any previous experience, whether great or terrible, I just couldn't refrain from doing it now. My family and I were traveling to Tonbridge for some errands today, and as we were early for our appointments and the weather was poor, I decided off the bat that it would have been a good idea to spend some time at the Cat Cafe for an hour. My daughter loves cats and we thought it was a great compromise whilst waiting for our appointments. I promptly got on their website to check space availability and found a spot for 1.45pm, so I booked and off we went to the Cafe. We arrived 5 minutes before the time booked, and whilst the family that was there waiting with us was accommodated quickly, I was told that we wouldn't be able to use the full hour I booked. I couldn't understand why, and when I asked for an explanation, I was told that I had booked too near the time. It just didn't sound like a valid justification. Then when I asked whether it was because they were going to shut the shop early, I was told that they would close at 3.30, so that also couldn't really justify why we were only allowed half hour rather than the full hour we had booked. My wife didn't want any of that and she left the shop very upset, but because I didn't want to disappoint my daughter because we were already there, I decided to settle, unhappily, for what I was offered. With all this said, we had been there 3 times before, and always had a quite good experience, but this time it was just not good enough. Although my daughter was having a good time playing with cats and enjoying her hot chocolate, I couldn't help but feel unwelcome and rushed, to the point that I was handed the bill as to say "You need to leave!", and asked to move away from a sofa because a bigger group of people was about to arrive. Overall, I should have had a lot of good reasons to make a fuss but I refrained from doing it, firstly because I paid the full price of the booking for only half the time, then the unwelcoming attitude towards us added up to an overall unpleasant experience.

I have visited Paws twice. The first time was a birthday treat from my husband and the second was for an anxiety workshop in conjunction with Laddingford Counselling. The entry fee is ÂŁ5, which I presume goes towards the food and care for the cats. The cafĂ© has a very relaxed ambience. The cafĂ© is owned by a mother and daughter team and all the staff are very friendly and happy to chat and answer any questions about the different personalities of their furry “colleagues. Having previously visited Lady Dinah’s Emporium in London, I found Paws was much less strict regarding the cats. As a cat lover, it is obvious that you shouldn’t bother the cats when they’re sleeping or pick them up suddenly. But other than that, Paws allows you to interact with them and the cats seem happy to be around people! I spent both of my visits with Harley who was snuggled on “his” seat and quite happy to be gently stroked. The crockery used is very pretty and the food very good, especially the scones! Watch out for Sara stealing your food! My only minor complaint is that the jam is from a jar and not homemade. We will definitely be going back!

Well organised with a booking system and double entry doors to maintain the safety and welfare of the cats which have a range of resting places, toys, and different surfaces to climb and rest on. Very welcoming young lady served us and provided us with a helpful folder showing details of all the cats in residence. Would be a fantastic wellbeing environment particularly if there is a cat or cats by your seat happy to be stroked, but avoid times like half-term: the website says no children are allowed as they can distress the cats so we were disappointed to find so many children in there at the same time which made it noisy and the cats were distracted away. More of a place for tea and cake with a range on offer than coffee and a biscuit, or for a light lunch. We will return.
