Woodstock Coffee Shop in Tonbridge and Malling

We have been meaning to try this place for ages but never had the chance. We both had the day off so decided to give it a try. We didn’t notice the sign by the carpark so took a little while to find it. It was very busy which is always a good sign. We were welcomed by very friendly helpful staff. We looked at the menu while we waited for a table to be free which wasn’t too long. I decided to have the breakfast sandwich and my wife had the avocado and bacon on toast. It’s a very nice setting and lots to choose on the menu. Our food arrived hot and was very tasty. Nice size portions. The chef popped his head out to make sure everything was okay. We have some drinks which were hot. Had a very nice afternoon here and will definitely will come back in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome and the excellent service and food.

Quality food, reasonable prices. Lovely staff. We came to this cafe after an appointment at the diagnostic centre where by I had to fast, we really enjoyed the breakfast it was delicious, then had a cake too. Caters for Gf and V . Thanks to the chef for our cakes as there wasn't any gf bread, it was appreciated so much.

Had the vegetarian breakfast and every item was cooked perfectly. Very nice coffee and really friendly staff. Nice location for a coffee or snack, if you’re visiting the main hospital, it’s about a 15 minute walk. Need to book a table as it appears to get busy for lunch.

My partner and I decided to visit , looking for somewhere to get breakfast after a very early visit to the Oncology Centre at Maidstone Hospital. We’d wondered what sort of place the big CAFE sign referred to, off the main road. My goodness it was absolutely lovely! We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. Because they get so busy, and it’s not a huge place, you have your table for an hour. Very sensible, given the cafes I’ve been in where half a dozen people sit making a cuppa each last for a whole morning!! You choose what you want and order at the counter, and they have everything you could think of for breakfast, brunch, call it what you will. We both chose the “Woodstock” - a very substantial, well cooked, hot and speedily served full English, which was delicious. My partner had some black pudding which he reported was delicious. I had a very nice cafe latte and my OH had a decaff black. The total bill was about £22, I think (his treat) which we felt was excellent given the amount and quality of the food and drink. The chef came out to check that all was OK, as did the lady who I presume is the owner. A lovely, chatty lady who had sadly recently lost her mum. There’s plenty of parking, seating outside for a warmer day (remember them?) and you can eat in or takeaway. Honestly, we shall be recommending the little Woodstock to anyone at the hospital who is looking for somewhere to eat after an appointment, and we shall certainly go back when appointment times allow.

We had breakfast here and thought the food was really good , coffee was great as well, staff very friendly and minimal wait time , all in all a very pleasant experience

It makes such a difference when you get a warm welcome when you walk into a cafe and you can't beat the cheerfulness of the staff here. The vegetarian breakfast was perfect in every way - the poached egg was cooked just to the right level of runniness. A nice crispy hash brown too. There was a good buzz in the cafe and fast service. Quite a find, really.

Gluten free eggs Benedict - yum! Lovely poached eggs with rich gold yolks. Gluten free is no problem here, lots of choices including cakes and scones. As always, lovely staff, lovely food, convenient location.

I went for a large breakfast and it was lovely. Fresh ingredients and very well presented. The staff were friendly and welcoming and what a great location! 10/10.

Well hidden but worth the effort to find. Took my Mum for lunch before a hospital appointment and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful finding us a seat in the crowded cafe. My full english was generous, high quality, served quickly and very hot. Mum's pancakes had every sort of chocloate and cream and she couldn't finish them......I helped her. Good coffe and a niceley presented pot of tea for one. It was very busy and I can see why.

I have been to Woodstock Coffee shop many times and always had good coffee (the best in Woodstock by a mile) and great service.

We ve been here several times and it is a firm favourite. The atmosphere is warm a d friendly . The coffee is delicious as I'd the food. Go there!!

This is the most wonderful pl ace for coffee or tea or anything. The food looks absolutely great. I've had pancakes and chocolate cake (b est ever ). Staff so friendly and helpful. Can't recommend it enough

Absolutely love this place have come numerous times over the years when I lived in Loose. The food is amazing, and always guaranteed great service! The loss of one star is purely down to it no longer being open on the weekends. Ever since I moved to the area last summer, it's only been open on weekdays, which has meant that I've not been able to visit since then. But with a recent day off, I was finally able to give it a visit and it didn't disappoint! Which makes it all the worse that I won't be able to visit again till my next day off whether that be in the area. Would be great to see it open on weekends again!

Excellent bacon and brie salad. Loads of stuff in there, seeds, dressing, cranberry sauce and huge chunks of brie and bacon.

Ok if you come in early but they seem to shut whenever they feel like it and don’t do most of the menu after 1 o clock which to me is lunch time. Everything on the menu is very similar so same things with different description so avocado on bread, toast, salad etc or bacon on toast/ salad. So basically if you don’t want a breakfast or like avacado and want to eat after 1 don’t come here. Staff very abrupt and seem to want you to leave as soon as possible.

We visited the Woodstock Cafe today with friends. What a great place it is. The choice of menu is great, very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We went for breakfast and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will definitely return again and might try some of the delicious looking cakes on display too! It's a real treasure of a place.

This is definitely a gem of a place. The staff are so friendly and the food is wonderful. I usually have the smashed avocado and bacon on toast. I visit at least once a week. Definitely recommend.

Went for breakfast yesterday after finding this place on trip advisor and we were really pleasantly surprised!! We enjoyed a delicious smashed avocado with bacon and a wake up breakfast!! I was also really pleased that they had hazelnut syrup for my coffee which is my favourite!! Reasonably priced and a nice clean, quiet setting! We even took cake home to eat later! My only small niggle is that I would have like the bread with my smashed avo to be toasted but otherwise, absolutely lovely! Thank you, we will recommend and hopefully be back!!

I’m a regular customer who spends a lot of money in yourCoffee shop. I was disappointed today with the coffee. Firstly I waited 20 minutes to receive my coffee whilst the lady took so long to make it. I eventually got the coffee and when I took my first sip the coffee was cold. I was very disappointed. As you can see from the picture below I am a very loyal customer who is 1 coffee away from a free coffee and I’m now not sure if I want to come back after my awful experience today.

Great breakfast, good service but only take cash, I rarely carry cash. Now I know that, it's not a problem in the future. Couldn't get the sugar out of the sachet, damp I think.

Had a freshly cooked breakfast which was hot and a delicious sausage which you don’t often get in some places. A nice cosy feel to this cafe.Service was excellent from a nice young lady , quick too. Great afternoon tea, with no issues over providing me with a gluten free version. It was fresh, the cakes and scones were delicious, and it was very pleasant to sit in a gazebo in the garden centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent.

Wow what a beauty of a place...positioned in the heart of Kent . Some friends and I stumbled across Woodstock and decided to meet for brunch. I had the full English , wow what a breakfast, not greasy just great taste . Service was great , nothing was too much trouble . Cafe is warm and cosy and was incredibly inviting on a chilly October morning. Can’t wait to return I have my eye on several of the spectacular cakes on offer. Well done Woodstock, cant recommend enough !

This is a hidden gem of a cafe. I have had a few visits to Woodstock Cafe and have had an amazing experience every time. The food is so good, tasty and freshly cooked and the service was second to none - nothing was too much trouble. I will continue to visit and looking forward to trying the afternoon tea very soon. The best cafe in Maidstone by far and an added bonus of having a garden furniture shop next door.

What a lovely little hidden gem this cafe is. Seating inside and also outside on a small verandah. Perfect in the sunshine.

We visited here today and unfortunately our little one grabbed the coffee and it went all over him! Everyone was absolutely amazing and so helpful in such a traumatic time! We then eventually got to enjoy our brunch and it was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be going back! Thank you everyone so much!

After our last visit, a few summer's ago, which wasn't successful, we tried Woodstock again. What a difference a few years makes! Great service and the food was great.

I had heard various good and bad reviews from friends with regards this cafe, and so wanted try for myself with a friend.

Arrived for a brunch at about 10.15am. Ordered our brunch at the counter and were asked to sit wherever we liked. There was two couples sitting outside, and shortly afterwards three girls arrived, followed by another couple. After 30 minutes what we thought were our meals came past, but were taken to the couple outside. One of them took the brunch, but the other was returned as it was not what was ordered. Shortly after the three girls also received food, but again only one of the meals that had actually been ordered. I went to complain to the counter staff that I had been waiting for 45 minutes for two breakfasts and that two tables that had arrived after me had been served. I was told that the chef had no control over how the tickets were ordered. To put the hat on it, the two couples that had been sitting there when we arrived also went to complain that they hadn't received their meals. In summary food good but service amongst the worst I have ever experienced.

Just want to say a massive thank you to the staff at Woodstock, who totally understand what lunch is like with a toddler. They are super friendly and are on hand to help, whether that be to get a high chair or provide colouring books. Plus the food is delicious! A special thank you to the chef, who kept my little boy entertained!

Really cosy place, the only bad thing was the waitress who was not kind at all, when she brought the coffee I said thanks twice without any response and also we ordered two cappuccino with a single shot with soya milk and we received two normal cappuccinos with two shots...

So wifey and I decided to stop into Woodstock this morning for a quick bite to eat before an appointment.

Lovely little café with nice selection of food and drink at reasonable prices and within walking distance of some of Allington. We chose salads with halloumi and brie and bacon and whilst they didn't scrimp on the toppings I would have expected a few more salad leaves and accompaniments (tomato, cucumber, pepper) for the £6.95 price tag as it was gone in a few mouthfuls. I spied the fish finger burger on the next table and wished I'd followed my stomach and ordered that as it was a lot more substantial for a few pennies cheaper at £6.50. It was extremely busy and as tables became free they were quickly taken. I will try it again before making my mind up but won't be opting for a salad.

My wife and I had a breakfast here which was reasonably priced, tasty and ok portions. At the risk of splitting hairs the one downside was the orange juice was straight from a carton and distinctly unimpressive. It is the sort of place where you would imagine oranges being freshly squeezed ?

We visited today after reading all of the great reviews, but we're unfortunately very disappointed. My husband and I have very little time to actually have lunch etc together, and thought we would try this place. On first view the cafe is nice, modern and cosy. However the food was disappointing the salad literally consisted of lettuce, no tomato, cucumber etc. A basic addition to any salad and the fish finger brioche was minimal and when quoted to come with a side salad I would not deem a side salad to be two pieces of iceberg and a tomato slice! We opted to share a piece of cake, however this was also dry and had little taste. We were even offered cream as an extra I'm guessing to combat the dryness of the sponge. We unfortunately would be highly unlikely to return here.

We had an excellent brunch yesterday, all ordering variants of the Woodstock breakfast.

This place is fantastic for breakfasts. I always have the smashed avocado on sour dough bread with 2 x poached eggs, delicious and very filling. They have lots more to choose from and lots of seating inside and outside. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This cafe is just off Hermitage Lane and not visible from the road. Great little find. It's quirky and in the sunshine they have the bifolds open, so it feels very cool and continental. Sandwiches and drinks come from the chiller cabinet, and there's plenty on the menu for breakfast or hot snack choices. Parking is a bit of a bind, and there were 2 pushchairs clogging up space between tables when we went...........so i'm guessing it's become a bit of a yummy mummy haunt! That aside, I'll definitely go back.

My work colleagues and I visit Woodstock about twice a month for a sit down lunch, the food is always excellent as is the coffee! Staff are friendly and helpful. It does get busy at times and sometimes you have to wait a while for your food but they always let you know in advance if there’s going to be a delay. Highly recommend!

I had seen this place signposted off Hermitage Lane for a while, went for breakfast at around Midday on Monday. Its a small place and was full when I arrived! Not sure if it is usually this busy as it was half term. The owner introduced himself to us and offered us a table outside, but one inside soon became available. Full breakfast was good with quality ingredients and coffee was good as well. Plenty of staff too in kitchen and at the till.

Amazing hidden gem. Lovely menu, accommodating and super friendly staff and lovely decor. I have visited on a number of occasions and always have a lovely brunch/coffee/cake. Veggie options available and all cakes are home made and soooo good!! Easy parking and a great garden centre next door.

Lovely breakfasts, both full English and the vegetarian version. Cooked to perfection in lovely, peaceful surrounds hidden away from Hermitage Lane... Prices were good value and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be visiting again. Small, but a really lovely atmosphere. The Beatles soundtrack was great too!

Lovely menu with good quality ingredients and great meat eater and vegetarian choices. Beautiful, rustic interior and relaxing setting . The chef was able to adjust to my dietary requirements. The sandwich selection looked delicious so we took some away for our tea - good quality bread and tasty, generous fillings which are so hard to find in a take-away sandwich! Very reasonable prices, too. Delighted to have found somewhere to hide for a day time date with the Hubby! :) :)

Visited woodstock yesterday afternoon ten minutes before closing. Was very dissappointed with the staffs attitude and constant slamming of furniture as if we werent welcome and forced to vacant the premises in order to allow staff to shut shop and go home. Didnt feel welcome despite paying for refreshments. Doubt if l will return ever again.

This place is hidden away. Only heard about it from a friend. I had not noticed the signage on the road despite driving by many times.

What a lovely find. Proper gem!!! Although made from a conversion of quite a few shipping containers that's where it ends. Very stylish coffee shop just tucked away off the main road with very good coffee and excellent food.

Really cool, quirky coffee shop. I've been here a fair few times since it opened last month. Simple food done great. Portions are really generous and they do oven baked jackets which is a bonus. Their coffee is really good and they do a double shot of expresso as standard.

Popped in the other week for a quick spot of lunch. Really nice clean place to eat, food was really tasty and the menu is nice and simple. Good value for money in my opinion. Will use this more often as the coffee served is a bladdy good coffee.
