Good friendly pub, worth a visit.

It was DJ and karaoke night... a proper village pub, welcoming and fun. Thank you all for the lovely evening. I look forward to trying the food next time 😋

After being a loyal patron of the pub for coming up to 3 years now. Spending in excess of £££'s a week and being very happy with the service. I've recently been very disappointed with the service and aosphere. The pub Is rarely open, the prices have gone up and all the loyal patrons have left due to the above. I was in the pub today having always had a tab of only around £50 a time and was today publically humiliated and refused as I apparently took too long to clear my last one (been away in a retreat for 6 weeks for mental health reasons.) even though I offered several times to send someone in to clear for me and having tried myself but was always greeted by a closed venue. The pub seems to have gone downhill and with current management divulging publically their intentions ie parties and non regulars and their financial difficulties which I find very awkward and strange to hear. The pub has gone from at best, a lovely local and at worst a personal operation for the current owners and not in anyway,shape or form there for the local patrons. Very sad to see such a deterioration in the only pub in hildenborough. If you want a nice chat , a decent pint and a nice atmosphere I would avoid.

Great atmosphere this evening. We had a couple of pints and shared 2 very tasty pizzas. Good value and we enjoyed immensely.

Fantastic local boozer run by an amazing couple who go out of their way to make this a great little pub. Food is proper old-school pub grub, baskets etc. None of your fancy Gastro nonsense.

Made to feel so welcome and went in just for drinks but also some nibbles

I had a pleasant experience at the Half Moon Pub. The establishment was clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly. They offered a standard selection of beers and a reasonable variety of bar snacks. The pub had a large internal space, along with a small outside garden featuring a decked area out front and a covered conservatory. Another plus was the availability of parking both at the front and rear of the pub. While I didn't try their food, I found the overall ambiance and service quite enjoyable.

Lovely and friendly, and let us in even though we had arrived before official opening time.

Great atmosphere especially when they have local bands playing the favourite of mine being Half Moon Panic, great to hear really professional live bands

Called in late afternoon. The only real ale was Harvey's Sussex Best but this was in good condition. A nice welcome from the owner and customers.

They stayed open an extra hour for us, great pub, fab atmosphere.

Good pub and friendly staff if you want a quiet drink. Not sure what it’s like when it is busy.Did not have the food with current owners but had food in past with previous owners.Did not look for a menu so can’t comment on food. There is some limited parking.

Went to this pub recently while in Hilde borough what a terrific night lots of music and great beers and a large selection of gins the landlord and his wife made us feel like family.my only regret is that they didn,t have love shack on the juke box but. I still give it 5

The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. We had cheeseburgers cooked on the bbq they were delicious.

Had my 50th birthday part at the Moon. Great hosts, great venue. Lovely garden and bbq area. Everyone had an amazing time. I highly recommend it

The landladys Karen and Ann are just grest hosts. The bar staff Katie and Harry are the most professional and most attractive bar staff i have seen in a long time. The both of them made our night and should be given a special mention. Even if we did not make their night with our constant demands. If you are in Tonbridge or Hildenburgh then it is definitely worth a visit. I had one of the most memorable nights of my life. I only wish i could award more stars to this pub. On the night we were there it was the landladies birthday and they had karaoke. It was a night i will remember. The best pub i have been in years. They do three baby guinness for £9.50 and they are worth sampling. The half moon pub is outstanding. Please visit you will not be disappointed. In can only award 5 stars i only wish i coukd award 10 stars. Such a great atmosphere. I travelled from birmingham to see my friend. I only wished it was my local battle cruiser.

Went here for a leaving do, never been here before is bigger than it looks with 4 different areas. Very busy with lots of youngsters and music a bit on the loud side. Drinks at a reasonable price. Good night had by all. Shame they allowed vaping inside.

Was there for lunch so didn't expirience the pub atmosphere. Nevertheless the host was very nice lady, my lunch was good size portion and pretty tasty. Prices are pretty much avarage. All clean, pleasant and welcoming.

The owner couldn’t do more to help. I went in there today with my baby and friend and her son he brought us high chairs apologising there were no trays. He apologised that they could not put a changing table in the toilet but the dresser they had worked just fine. The food was hot and tasty. Cheesy chips had cheese all the way through not just sprinkled on the top. He kept checking that everything was ok, just overall good friendly service would definitely go back.

We visited here after our badminton club Christmas tournament. Food was excellent and staff friendly and helpful.

On behalf of Hildenborough Badminton Club I would like to thank the new management at the Half Moon for providing amazing food and hospitality to our club. They went out of their way to make all 40 of feel welcome. Definitely booking again next year.

Came here for a do yesterday and it was great. Steve and Karen have taken this pub over and are working wonders with it. There's now a room at the side of the pub for parties, with Steve himself being an accomplished DJ and mixer, this will be very popular. Good selection of drinks and great atmosphere among other things (pool, darts) means we will keep coming back.

Word on the street says that ex ‘Manager’ Jay has now left (been sacked). He tarnished the once glowing reputation of Hildenborough’s cherished pub. Popped in yesterday and myself and my friends are so glad to see the pub full of life again, the dark fog of Jay and his disgusting presence has been lifted. Everyone get down and experience it for yourselves! It’s like a whole new environment. Even the staff have their smiles back on their faces. Well done Landlord and Landlady, hildenborough is proud to have its friendly family pub back!

Everyone reunite to the best pub in hildenborough. Jay has now left which is more than a good reason to celebrate. Everyone come in their numbers this weekend for this huge event

Being on the main road through hildenborough from Sevenoaks to Tonbridge its a great location for me. Although I am still not a regular. The service I receive during my visit is fine, welcoming & polite. Nothing special, but that’s ok with me. Not yet eaten here, but it’s on the list.

It would be an ok/great pub if Jay didnt run it, he is rude and a massive c*** to the regular customers. Usually I dont use that word that word but coming from a customer service role I’ve never met someone like that

We follow this great band and we're looking forward to returning toThe Half Moon.The decor is fantastic and the place looks so much better,lovely!However,the Manager is not !He was unpleasant to the band.He was un professional.The more he drank the louder he became and we heard him moan at the band they had not brought many followers,there were approx 18 of us compared to about 6or7 who were not.We heard him say we were not spending enough,this is untrue but we could hardly drink to access and drive!! If not for us the pub would have had very few in!The band has played The Half Moon in the past and it was busy both with followers and regulars.I think the attitude of the Manager has a negative impact .The Band and we felt extremely uncomfortable.

Had a fantastic Christmas Day Lunch with the family consisting of 12 of us. They catered for all including four Vegetarians. Nothing was too much trouble and Christmas Crackers etc all in with the price. Would thoroughly recommend the food. We have also visited for Sunday Lunch and I believe a carvery is to go ahead in the near future.

FANTASTIC, offer a variety of services, such as hosting events like music nights and sports nights they also host things such as wedding afterparties and can prepare meals for you and your party. Very clearly establishment. Alot of effort has gone into the refurbishment. The staff are very polite and professional. Highly recommended for a visit.

Unwelcoming small car park with intimidating notices (quite a bit of small print and address of the parking enforcement company) about expect a fine if you don't have a ticket, but not obvious if you needed a ticket or would receive one in the post instead!

Tried the steak baguette which was really good, great value for money.

We know this pub well through previously living nearby, and glad to see it has retained it's atmosphere through numerous ownership changes.

Lovely staff, decent ales but the lager selection is uninteresting and the tables out front are on the main road (I didn't check if they have a back garden :/)

Last minute arrival and they accommodated us very well. We all enjoyed the food and the place felt very much at home

Unplanned lunch with neighbour to our local pub. Tried their Homemade pizza for first time with chips. Was absolutely delicious, very filling and value for money. Compliments to the Chef!!.. Lovely warm n welcoming local pub with friendly staff and locals. Do recommend!

Lovely village boozer with great food. Nicely decorated and welcoming. We had some nice local real ale and a homemade pizza and dough balls really good.

Great pub with everything you need, quality beers and cask ales on tap. Pool table, juke box, fruit machine disabled access and plenty of parking front and rear. Friendly staff and great food.

Attractive Interior, family friendly, Very pretty outside. Has restaurant,, a sofa and seats by the window. Something for everyone. Feels safe to be in, lots of great changes.

A lovely local pub, where we held a surprised birthday party with live band. Great choice of beer, the staff were great, the food was great too. Plenty of parking.

Attended regular live music jam nights and now we're hooked!! Haven't used restaurant as other side of pub but it's great to visit a pub where locals (and their dogs) are welcome.,,,,

We have visited the Half Moon on a couple of occasions, each time we have had some lunch there, the first time we had their cheesy chips with bacon, no complaints with that a real treat, we thought it was so good we ordered the same again on our second visit. We found this pub to be clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, it has a very friendly atmosphere, it would be easy to have a couple of beers and relax over lunch any time. We would certainly visit again when in the area.

The half Moon is a pleasant pub with small restaurant to one side. Though you can also eat in the bar area. The staff are pleasant and cheerful. The service is good, some small delay on a Friday lunch time though, that is expected with the local office staff keeping the kitchen busy. A good choice on the blackboard as well as the daytime menu. All good value.

This is a lovely pub. Nice selection of food which is presented nicely and good value for money. Nice garden area out the back and pleasant to sit out the front too. Has it's own car park. Friendly, helpful staff and best of all they support live music and the live music they have there is really good

I frequent the half moon on a nearly daily basis for my work lunch. They have a very fast and personal service. The pub is very nicely presented and usually has a theme to it (haloween, christmas etc) which is a nice personal touch. I would highly recommend this pub for some classic pub grub or a pint - all very good value.

This pub is worth a visit especially on a Sunday afternoon for the friendly atmosphere, open log fire and live Jazz. Another really really good point to note is that it is very doggie friendly, so you can take your best friend as well.

Well run pub serving good food coupled with a good selection of beers and real ale. Warm friendly welcome. Dog friendly.highly recommended.
