When I make my annual visit to Canterbury the Eight Bells is a must. On Sunday afternoon, I enjoyed one of Landlady Kim's Sunday Roasts and that kept me going for the day. On Tuesday evening I returned for some drinks and the pub was as busy as ever with Kent's greatest Ladies Darts team in action When you are in Canterbury, the Eight Bells is a must with great, staff, drinks and food in a traditional pub, you couldn't find better!

Great little spot.. Fantastic service, clean and tidy space. Coffee is really decent. Had a wrap absolutely delicious. And the smoothies are out of the world. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful discovery in Canterbury! This family owned pub, brewery and destillery brews all their own beer and destilles their own spirits. The food is delicious and the impromptu visit to the brewery was a nice treat. The beer lovers especially loved the tasting plank with 5 different beers (and ciders). Nice to bring some gin bottles back home as well. A very nice discovery in Canterbury.

Great service very good food and coffee . Didn't try the cakes but look very tempting and service very good even though the staff were busy.

Not what I expected. Coffee served in paper cups to have at a table. Service really sullen… seem dispirited. Coffee seemed stale although they say they roast once a week ( not sure where that is ). Really just a slightly upmarket Pret a manger.

We were looking for a cafe to house 8 adults, on a busy Sunday, before Christmas, midday, for coffees only. Black Sheep cafe refused to let us sit in their take away area, even though it was empty. We then walked on a little way to find Garage coffee. They are a smaller cafe than Black sheep, and it was busy when we asked for seating for 8 adults. They were so accommodating and friendly, moving tables and chairs so that we could all sit down together. Not only did we get 11/10 tasting coffee, but 11/10 service! I would totally recommend you visiting this cafe. Also, this is an independent cafe who knows where their coffee comes from. How can you not support them!. Thank you very much.

Friendly, beautiful and welcoming place. We had a truly fantastic breakfast here! The coffee was perfect and I really enjoyed the fresh orange juice. The decor is clean, lovely and homely, such a wonderful place to be! Thank you to you all for such a wonderful morning and for a happy welcome! We will definitely be coming back again and again! Highly recommend.

In the center of the medieval Canterbury is an old and delicious restaurant named for the famous Trapiste, which serves typical Belgian food (although we are in England). This local place is a cross between a bar, a tea room, and a restaurant. In addition to a wide selection of beers, you can enjoy tasty dishes like the exceptional burgers served with homemade bread, or the special tea served with cream. The restaurant has a rustic feel, and each and every chair is a different style. The terrace is splendid, and there is even a gazebo, decorated with tiny lights, which make you feel like you are surrounded by stars in the midst of these beautiful medieval buildings.
