Nice place but shame we weren’t allowed to sit there. As soon as we got in the guy said takeaway only. He was incredibly rude and told us it’s takeaway only many times whilst ordering as my kids sat down waiting for our drinks. He also told us the toilet was out of order which looking at other reviews, seems to be the case all the time! The drinks were ok, the lobster tails were not bad but service very poor. Wouldn’t recommend.

A rude and unwelcoming man served us, I asked about the cannoli in the window but he said "there are 13 flavours do you want me to name them all!?" Well maybe naming a few would have been helpful!!! but he didn't so we just chose one that looked like chocolate. The toilet situation is weird too, it says it's out of order on the door but it's clearly not as I saw a "non tourist" woman open it with a key from the top of a mirror, use the toilet then replace the key! I have read Google reviews of this place which say they have a problem with people using their toilet. In conclusion you're welcome if you're local, you're not if you're a tourist. The place looks pretty from the outside but is ugly in every way on the inside. We won't go back.

What an unwelcoming owner. We had literally hardly got in the door when we were asked what we wanted. There was a huge array of cannoli in the window so I asked what flavours they were...his exact words were (sarcastically) "there are 13 different flavours do you want me to name them all?!" Well yes I did actually so that I knew what my options were, but he didn't tell us what any of them were so we just chose one that looked like chocolate. He was very friendly to locals but not tourists, an example of his bias is that there is an "out of order" sign on the toilet door but I sat and watched a regular customer put her hand on top of the mirror and take down a key which she used to open the toilet door, use the toilet, then replace the key!! It's obviously not for tourists! In conclusion it looked lovely on the outside but was ugly in every way on the inside.

This is not a cannoli, but some merciless mockery of it. Anyone who thinks this is delicious has never eaten the real thing. Instead, it is unrealistically expensive.

Had a nice, rich hot chocolate here. If you add cream it'll be chocolate which compliments the flavour. There's a sign saying its self-service which is a little odd considering how small the place is.

I went in wanting to buy a selection of pastries for my sister in law to celebrate her passing her driving test. However, quickly changed my mind after speaking to the man serving me. I really felt like he didn’t want me to buy anything - that’s the best way to describe the interaction. I got a salted caramel lobster tail - both pastry and filling were stale. The filling was in fact hard. Didn’t taste like any other lobster tail pastry I’ve had before. I also got a couple of pistachio cannoli - they were better. The pastry had the crunch the other one lacked. It was nice. They look better than they taste, which is a shame.

One of the best coffee ever, my partner vouched, and I absolutely loved the Cannoli. Sicilian Lemon Cannoli was a treat and my partner tried the Pistachio Cannoli, which he loved. This is a hidden gem In Canterbury; I came across it by chance, and not by recommendation, which is shocking! The pastries on the window are like candy for grown ups! You can see and nearly taste just how delicious the pastries are, and they don’t disappoint! I had the most delicious apple tart with fresh cream; it was to die for, and so was the amazing cup of espresso. Comfortable seating and quite cozy inside. Very friendly staff; actually the owner was the whole of the staff that day. This shop is on my list to visit again, and has my highest of recommendations, if you’re looking for high quality French pastries. The selection is limited, but so worth the visit!

Thought it was pretty but when I went inside and asked for the marzipan fruits, the man was quite curt/rude to us with his tone, and tossed the fruits onto the counter top. I still bought them as they were going to be a nice treat for myself, they were £12 (for only 4 fruits) which is outrageous. I convinced myself this was going to be nice so I got them anyways. They were absolutely awful. Hard and stale, obviously been sitting out for a while and when I got home I noticed they hadn't even been secured properly in the packaging, only closed with some weak and dirty tape. I will never try this place again, it is a waste of money, and the service wasn't good, I am truly disappointed. Don't let the aesthetic exterior trick you.

Went here a few weeks ago and was served by a lovely man. Went in today and my friend was buying food and I needed the toilet so I used the PUBLIC toilet provided. I knew it was public as it had a sign on it indicating it was for men and women. Came out and started complaining that I had gone in there without asking talking about private property when it is a cafe open to public. He told us to get out and I did so happily. After this my friend told me about this mans attitude when buying from him, very unhelpful and disrespectful. Will never be going here again, absolutely livid. I’m literally only 15 and he was talking to my friends and I like that. Disgraceful.

First time I went the guy was lovely i it was a brilliant experience. The second time my girlfriend went into the toilet which has a sign on it displaying that it is a toilet and even has instructions on how to open the door. My friend who spent £10 had finished paying and I was waiting for her and I said to him I’m just waiting for someone to finish using the toilet. He then says it’s not a public toilet which if a toilet in a cafe has a sign on it displaying that it is a restroom you would think it is for customers . If it is a private restroom at least put a sign on the door. My friend that had just spent £10 sat down to enjoy he’s food and the rude man said “it is takeaway you said takeaway you can’t sit” even though he never asked takeaway or eat in. When my girlfriend left the toilet he then proceeded to give us a 5 minute lecture on how it’s a private toilet and insulting us even though it had the appearance of a public restroom and no indication that it was not for customers. The first time I went the guy was really nice the second time it was a different guy, he is the larger one and ruder one.

With most desserts around the £4-5 mark, it's cheaper than buying a dessert for £7-8 in a restaurant. The atmosphere felt like a continental cafe. The coffee is a high standard and it has the ground coffee smell that I remember from going to London with my Nanna as a child. She was very fussy about having fresh ground coffee. The desserts, cream tea and drinks were all delicious. The man serving spoke quite abruptly to me but I didn't take it personally, he wasn't being rude it was just his manner. Nice for a beer, but the food wasn’t great at all … the pizza in particular was probably the worst “restaurant“ pizza I ever had, with (what tasted like) a shop bought crust, totally devoid of any seasoning, and a somewhat stale aftertaste. Have a drink and save your appetite for somewhere else!
