It was pouring with rain so we were looking for a coffee. This place is off the beaten track so we were lucky to find it. I had a batch brew served in a teapot which made two cups. It was very tasty. My wife had an americano with hot milk.
The staff at the Clock Tower Cafe are always incredibly polite and helpful. The food is cooked fresh and always delicious. If you have room for pudding, or fancy an afternoon tea and cake, the selection of cakes is vast and absolutely scrummy.
Dishes are available all day, which keeps the kids happy if they fancy pancakes for lunch!
Excellent value. Cannot fault in any way.
The pizzas came quick and were absolutely delicious, better than any delivery place & cheaper! Highly recommended. The server was friendly and she made the pizzas perfectly. Very generous with the cheese, which came off melted and amazing.
Amazing food cooked fresh while you wait. We had steamy delicious bao, soft and tasty siomai, and came back straightaway to get takeaway bento for dinner. The cook is charming and friendly, and everything tasted so fresh. We are going to come back to canterbury from London just to have it again!
Went here for a second time now and really love the service and product. You can choose how sweet or cold your drink is going to be and there seems to be limitless options. My only critique would be that the menu is a little confusing- they do offer popping boba in lovely flavours, but it’s not mentioned on the menu. Got myself a loyalty car and found a great way to stay hydrated!
Best bubble tea in area exactly how you want it from sugar levels to ice lots of amazing flavour so refreshing can’t recommend enough
Will be back
Thank you
Best filled baguette I had in a very long time! Full of fresh homemade ingredients. I had chicken with braised onion and rocket. Perfect for a quick lunch, very satisfying and delicious. Really worth the extra 2-minutes walk away from the usual sandwich spot in the high street. Great service, always nice to support independent businesses run by lovely people who put effort in offering good food. And the espresso can pass any Italian test!
I visited The Monument Pub after a uni lecture, asended my uncle recommended—he often comes here. It was a nice and welcoming place to catch up. My uncle had two beers with Cheddar & mozzarella chips, while I had an Aspall cider, then an Aspall half cider, and a delicious pepperoni sourdough pizza and chips. The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was great. It's a solid pub to visit in Canterbury. Would recommend!

Amazing gem in Canterbury.
My partner and I stopped by here on Sunday afternoon. We had our 4yr old with us (kids allowed up until 6pm, we were told). We were greeted by Matthew who took our drinks order and after about 5mins of settling in, Matthew came over and wowed our daughter with a couple of tricks. A lolly from thin air and some impressive rope magic. He then let us be for awhile, while we enjoyed our premium drinks they serve. He then returned towards the end of our drinks to once again show more tricks to our daughter. His engagement with us was fantastic, particularly our daughter who was spellbound. She got to keep a "magic" card and was thrilled.
It is a little gem of a place for those who are looking for something a little different or great entertainment while enjoying a drink.
We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will be returning when we have the opportunity.
We love Mezze. Their food is fantastic, tasty, well presented without being fussy, and good quality. We particularly enjoy the Adana Kofte, and the salad which it comes with is excellent.
Their bread is amazing, hot, perfectly cooked, and so tasty.
Service is always good, and friendly. We also order from them on Just Eat and the quality is just as good. One of our very favourite restaurants.
