Awesome food, great customer's service

Visited mezze in the beginning of this year. The food was really good. Nice ambience. It’s definitely slightly more towards the pricy end but decent shout.

I had an incredible dining experience at Mezze Bar and Grill in Canterbury! We started with the delicious houmous and cacik, which came with fresh, warm bread that was simply perfect. For our mains, I chose the lamb beyti, while my partner enjoyed the lamb and chicken shish. Both dishes were succulent, full of flavor, and paired wonderfully with their homemade chilli sauce, which added just the right amount of kick. The portion sizes were generous, offering excellent value for money. The service was impressively quick, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Decent restaurant in the center of Canterbury. Fairly varied menu for a decent price. The food is fine. The service is friendly. The portions are on the small side.

My family had a lovely lunch here when visiting Canterbury over the bank holiday. We weren't sure where to eat but after quickly searching online we settled for this place as it seemed to have good reviews and now we can see why! We enjoyed every dish that we ordered and the flavours were on point!! The meat was not dry, it was very juicy and well seasoned. The staff was super friendly and the dishes were decently priced as well. The portion sizes were good and was also presented beautifully. We ordered the bread and hummus, lamb ribs, mixed meat, and chicken wings which also came with some cous cous and salad with a lovely dressing. Would definitely come back if we're ever back in Canterbury which is likely as my family is still talking about this place after the one visit. Thank you so much! :D

A friendly welcome awaits from attentive staff. We had the Mixed Grill and Hot Mezze to share. Cooked over charcoal the kofta, lamb chop, lamb shish and chicken shish was tender and beautifully seasoned. We had baklava for dessert and I had a cocktail (White Russian) which finished the meal perfectly. We will definitely return to this beautiful restaurant.

Canterbury is an amazing place to visit. Because I love the Mediterranean food we tried Mezze Bar and Grill today and it was a good experience. The staff is lovely, the food is delicious and the prices are decent. If you are in the area and you want to have a good meal try this restaurant. Also they serve cold draught beer 🍺🍺

Its a very welcoming restaurant The staff were really nice and friendly. Great selection on the menu and the food is just amazing. The lamb on the mix grill is full of flavour and so tender. Definitely worth ordering.

The table was not cleaned and was sticky. The food was not impressive at all, but the staff were friendly. The food portions were very small compared to the price. Three pieces of vine leaves for £6! The Adana kebab had lots of chewy fat, and the chicken beyti was not tasty. The side salad was really tasty, and the baklava was just okay.

If you want genuine fantastic food then you need to visit 'Mezze'. My wife and I love this place. We have been coming here now for two years and the service, atmosphere and food are always consistently great! Recommend the sharing meat platter !!! Nino who served us is fantastic. A true professional! We even had our Wedding afternoon reception meal here and it was truly amazing 🤩 try this place please if you want great food, very nice tasty lager & wine!!! Fabulous restaurant, food is divine!

What a gem of a find, situated by the Westgate towers. The food was absolutely fantastic, the staff wonderful and the price was so good. Our lovely Italian waiter ( everyone else in this family run business was Turkish) was so attentive and helpful. He recommended a superb Turkish wine and it really was very nice. The chefs certainly know their business and were very friendly waving from the kitchen! The food was fantastic, we had king prawns and calamari as starters and mixed grill and lamb cutlets for mains. Delicious! We would certainly recommend this restaurant for atmosphere, food, and hospitality! We love that this is a one off family run business. We will definitely be visiting again.

Just go here! The food is outstanding, and the atmosphere and staff are convivial. We had the cold mezze platter and the combination chicken and lamb shish. Very seriously well prepared and tasty food. Some of the best food we have had in England. The staff is super friendly. Kudos to them for a well managed restaurant!

Our second visit to Canterbury and our second visit to Mezze. The food was excellent. We had the sharing meat platter was huge and excellent quality and value. The lamb in particular was perfect. Good beer and wine. The staff were so helpful and friendly as well. A definite go back to restaurant next time we go to Canterbury

First time dining here, I wasn’t disappointed after hearing great things about this Turkish restaurant. The food was exceptional, the bread was delicious. The service was top marks always a waiter/waitress around topping up your wines. Would recommend coming here

Such a warm welcome as we entered. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were fantastic. A special mention to Nino and Ufuk, (you really went over and above to make us feel spoilt. 😊). A great atmosphere and the food was delicious. One of the best meals I have had. I asked if they could come and open a restaurant in Suffolk! I’m going to tell all my friends to visit if they travel to Canterbury. 😊 Thank you. 😊

Great place for a pre drink night out, a nice atmosphere, good menu options and friendly staff.

Excellent Turkish cuisine. Clean and cosy restaurant. Big portions and quick service. Grilled fish is a must. Cold meze plater as well. The homemade baklava was prepared with walnuts instead of pistachio and reminds me of my mother's baklava.

Top food, service and atmosphere

Today was our first time trying this restaurant. Me and my husband shared the meat lovers platter for two and it was stunning. Freshly made, the dishes were two course (hot and cold) and the main was enormous! There was so much food, the lovely staff boxed up what was left for us to enjoy this evening at home. We will definitely be back! Very very tasty, nice atmosphere, lovely decor. Thank you all!

There was little food on the plate for the money that i pay

After the meal, they gave me candy to cleanse my palate. The service was also good and the Greek food was delicious.

The food is wonderful. I recommend the chicken wings and skewers. The meat is juicy. The service is good, and if you're lucky you can order in Bulgarian from one of the waiters.

At the time when I visited this restaurant with my mother and my siblings we were all really impressed with the staff, they made my family and I feel welcomed. I really like the decor and the restaurant was beautifully decorated, I also really liked the presentations of me and families foods and drinks. The food and drinks tastes delicious and I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

Celebrating our anniversary In Canterbury we decided to try some new cuisine ( to us). I can only say that this restaurant was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff on the right side of attentive and the food was amazing. We shared the meat lovers platter and our only regret is that we don’t live near enough to visit regularly.

It's your standard Turkish food restaurant. The time we went wasn't busy. May be due to the local busy period wasn't at that time which was fine for us. Food was avarage nothing to write home about. Service was good. Had a good waiter. Very kind. If we are local. Might visit again.

I eat Turkish food quite frequently in NYC and I have to say this spot was fantastic! The cold mezze platter is a must for the table. I enjoyed the lamb kebab and everyone was raving about their meals too. The Turkish red wine blend they have was very tasty and they did large pours too.

The food was amazing! We got the warm mezze platter, the meatlover platter, one rib eye steak and one t-bone and they were amazingly tasty. The waiter also was very friendly and great at his job. Would totally recommend it, for the great food and service.

Excellent service - polite and helpful. We had a Sharing Platter which included dips, salad and different meats. It was delicious and very filling. Good value for money. Pleasant surroundings and good music!

With the exception of the drunken group of guys that came in expecting doner meat and chips the place was great. Delicious food served in good time. Maybe slightly more attentiveness needed for taking drinks and the espresso martini could have been better...

I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience. The service was prompt, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations. The restaurant's commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish.

I booked a table for four 2 months in advance to attending this restaurant. We got sat down at our table really quickly. After that, we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to take a drinks order. This was after them serving a table which had arrived after us. We waited for them to come back and no one did so had to ask for our food order to be taken. We then got a response of “we didn’t know you were ready to order”. It was about 40 minutes at that point and we were not even looking at our menus. No one had asked us if we were ready so I am not sure how he got that impression. Our food came which was really good. The only downside was the halloumi skewers which had minimal halloumi with it. No one throughout this came up to ask how our food was, asked if we wanted another drink or offered to fill our empty water jug up. We then finished our meal and still nothing from any member of staff. We then had to flag a waiter down for the bill which then got given to us. We then waited for someone to come to take our payment which they didn’t. We then had to ASK to pay our bill. The service was absolutely terrible!

Shame to say but really poor all round. Service was terrible, general lack of attention, drinks orders not taken / then slow to arrive / then second drinks order not put through. Food very ordinary - didn’t stay for desert as it wasn’t offered We won’t be returning …..

I went to Mezze after work with my partner. We got into the restaurant unsure whether it would be fully booked. However, we were seen to right away and whisked over to a table. The atmosphere was lovely and the man serving us was so so very attentive and a great presence. I have ordered a take away from this restaurant before, but have never dined there and I definitely will be dining there again. The food was amazing. This waiter was holding the whole show together and was the most efficient person I have met in a long time. Best service in Canterbury. Best food and worth the money and time. 10/10 would recommend!

Food was ok. Service was none existent and staff were unresponsive and impolite. Orders weren't taken for an age and then took a long time or didn't arrive.

We made a reservation and on arrival were told we did not have one and they made us feel that they were accommodating us. But then realised that we had booked. The service was very slow the mains and starters turned up all at once there was not enough room on the table. We requested a jug of water which did not arrive until we had almost finished our meal we had requested this several times. Also found the waitress were dressed in very skimpy clothing and not very family friendly. But the food was nice although could have been better if the waiting staff could be more attentive. Food was nice and was reasonably priced for a family of 7.

£9 for three small slices of soggy halloumi, £4.50 for one of those small boxes of salad that other Turkish places give for free, and £3 for two slices of bread. Total rip off. Don't waste you money or time getting food delivery from this place.

Food was good. No arguments about that. Fresh and vibrant. Some parts however like the prawns were in a very oily batter which was too much. Not too expensive either and the service was very good.

We really enjoyed our meal at Mezze It was a Sunday evening and we had superb starter and main course.The Bulgarian and Italian gentlemen and the young lady who looked after us were extremely polite and professional. The portion size was excellent and everthing cooked fresh and tasted superb.the price is what I would expect for the quality of the food.
