Like every place in Canterbury, you enter the premises and travel back in time. In addition, everything is delicious and a lot of variety, for breakfast, lunch and snack. Prices like any other coffee chain. Pret Bakewell are a must-favorite to accompany coffee. ☕🫶

Great Coffee, Great Vibes and Good Staff. They served us just before closing without hesitation. Appreciate that. First time in Canterbury but a nice location for a rainy day coffee.

Service wasn't very good without smile and attitude. Very sad when I'm the one who was giving them smile to lift up their mood and can't get it back even I'm a customer. Coffee is fine and atmosphere is good too. Hope they need to learn who to smile which is not only good for customer and their job but for themselves as well. 😊

Scones are as big as the palm of your hand (huge). Paired with cheese and jam, it makes half a bowl of rice.

Connor gave us some fantastic service, helped my mum through the door and made space for our buggy. Wouldn’t normally leave a review but was fantastic service.

Perhaps the nicest Pret in the United Kingdom. Make sure to check the upper floor. Wish their opening times were atleast till seven though. Great staff, great place, and tidy.

I really like pret and most times I go it’s lovely, however like many of the other reviews there is one male barista who is absolutely abhorrent. I felt like I was on trial and my crime was order a coffee ahaha. He looked at me like I was scum and after ordering my coffee he asked if I had a subscription and I didn’t quite hear so when I asked him to repeat he just said “guess not then”. He’s probably manager or supervisor for him to have this many reviews and no repercussions which just reflects pret as a business I guess. A shame honestly.

I agree with many other reviewers. The guy that looks like sideshow bob needs to be fired. He’s nasty, gives people evil looks and is just overall rude. Regulars like myself will not be going until he’s gone

My regular cappuccino and croissants! I loved the butter croissant, and the service was great! My monthly subscription gets me good discounts, worth every penny!

Nice place but really unfriendly staff. Some places get into a culture of unfriendliness to customers, especially if it's really busy, and it can make the work more fun. Treating people badly can be enjoyable in a twisted kind of way. Pret replied to me and said "we'll share this feedback with the staff" and I can imagine the sneers. Maybe they'll start trying to guess who's been calling them out. Another reason to stay away from the place.

Always full of people hogging tables do their work on laptops. The food was ok but the choice was limited. I was ignored for 5 mins before being served.

Very disappointed. When we first discovered Pret a manger we had an excellent and reasonable meal of meat balls. All very comfortable and filter coffee very reasonable. The next time we went , meat balls not available but still good value. The third time we we went it was closed and fenced in and no reason given. The fourth time (to-day) the small downstairs area was full of coffee drinkers with lap tops and the upstairs seating area was closed - no reason given. Impossible to sit and eat so left and decided we could not risk relying on them again Richard Cooper

Porridge was good, ready, and kept on a warm shelf. No offers of spoons or extras to go top. They were running behind, we sat down, they had moved a table over for us, as their upstairs area was out of use, due to leaking roof. There were only only 6 or 7 low tables. Only 3 high tables. Small feeling place. The place was full, but most people were there before ad after us.

The best coffee shop in Canterbury! I pay for subscription and basically go there every day. The staff is nice and friendly and always helpful. Good quality coffee. Lovely coffee shop!

Pret at a typical English environment

Great coffee, with the added bonus of polite and very friendly team. I always feel welcome and would recommend Pret at Canterbury to anyone visiting.

Excellent customer service and staff is really helpful. It’s location is on high street and very handy location. The coffee menu is same as other Frnachise and clean space ample seating space on top as well. A little cozy place right on the high street

It was a bit rubbish today. Got there around 9am and hot breakfast stuff wasn't on display, so I had to do without. Also I had to return my croissant because it wasn't cooked properly.

Always look to find a new Pret, this time in Canterbury. Shelves looked a bit short of stock. Long line awaiting service, it was lunchtime, but served pretty quickly. Nice old building, enjoyed the seating upstairs in the room with old wooden beams and windows.

Only went there as Nero were only doing takeaways. Coffee served in a disposable 'cup'. Were not kept waiting for long to be served. Not too busy at about 11am on a Sunday. Coffee was tasty.

This has to be one of the prettiest Pret I've been to. The building is elegant and the wood makes it cozy and different to the other branches. The rest is the same, but with a pinch of history

Absolutely appalling. We've ordered today through UberEats. Missing one item completely, my ham and cheese toastie is a tuna melt and the ham croissant is a veggie one. Ring the branch, completely uninterested and rude. Never ordering from them ever again!

Pret is my favourite cafe chain and this one is just as great as the rest of them. Great drinks & food, superbly friendly staff and cozy decor. Upstairs area and bathroom were slightly messy and the WiFi connection isn't the greatest upstairs, but these were minor faults. Wholeheartedly recommend this spot!

Despite being a chain, I actually really like their coffee and fab selection of food. The duck wrap will always be a personal fav but there is a range to choose from and something for everyone! Added bonus - unlike other shops they don’t charge for oat milk

No complaints here. Got some good food and sat upstairs, loved the rustic feel and look with old beams and windows. It's very cosy in the upstairs sitting area. The stuff were friendly.

Awful staff! Making me wait 15 min for a toastie. Worst serving ever.

Came in the other day with my family. My grandma had an accident and slipped. A young fella called Gabriel was able to help her and make sure she’s fine. Fortunately she wasn’t seriously hurt but it goes to show how helpful the staff around here are. Thank you Gabriel, proper angel you are. Keep bossing it lad 👍👍 (food and coffee was very nice btw)

The service of our coffees was quick and easy. We only had a takeaway coffee but Pete/ Connor was so welcoming and left a great impression.

I eat here fairly regularly because the food is fresh but mostly because of the staff. There is a gentleman there that goes above and beyond even when he’s slammed with in-person orders and takeout AND there’s a line. His sunny nature and affable demeanor do not go unrecognized. Thank you 🙏

Like this place. The first floor is beautiful 🤩 it is old historical building and I like how it looks inside. It gives you the feeling that you are in the old english town. There is clean and people the work fast and are friendly.

I love Pret and it's my default nosebag regardless of where in the country I may be. This particular Pret has terrible Wifi however and it's been that way for years. No idea why. If only they could fix that it would be great.

Pret a Manger, a Canterbury, è unico. Consiglio di andarci.

We were so pleased to find this Pret A Manger near the hotel where were were staying, and stopped by there a couple of times for meals. We particularly enjoyed the soup and salad there tonight- especially the Roast Chicken and Root Vegetable soup, and the sandwich was delicious and filling. They even threw in a complementary brownie, which added to our enjoyment. We are now real fans of Pret A Manger, and hope to visit this one or others like it again soon.

Good place to get a sandwich and coffee and if you go upstairs it the old oak beams you get closer the the old Canterbury lovely

Really bad service, toasted sandwich heated up in a paper bag and was rock hard once I'd sat down. No plate issued! What's the point charging more to eat in then? Really disappointed as the ones i use in Liverpool and Exeter are fabulous. Won't recommend and certainly won't be visiting again. Dreadful

Cosy place, decent prices and excellent service

The Pret outlet is situated in a historic building in the heart of Canterbury. On the wall outside, there is evidence that the building was once a Boots the Chemist. When you are inside, you wonder how many other people have occupied the building over the centuries.Service was excellent, very efficient, warm and friendly. Food and coffee both excellent. We sat by the window and enjoyed watching the passers by as we ate our food, but there is upstairs seating too.Highly recommended.

It was nice to stop whilst shopping and sightseeing. The pre prepared sandwich was filling and the well priced coffee was a delight

I have avoided coming here for ages, i don't know why. but now when in Canterbury we choose it, the sandwiches are brilliant, tasty and fresh, always! There are some warm dishes to choose from that are very yummy! Nice atmosphere upstairs as it is in a very old building.

Su servicio al cliente, su cálida sonrisa, su actitud atenta y, de hecho, todo me haría volver. El café es bueno, los pasteles son geniales, los precios son demasiado altos. . . Pero este caballero es simplemente excepcional. ¡Ojalá hubiera más como tú, señor! Por su servicio, seguiría volviendo.

Good value product, super friendly and warmly welcomed!

Déjà l'endroit est sympa avec sa salle à l'étage avec ses poutres apparentes et les vieilles fenêtres dans une maison typique et ancienne. Ensuite les plats : les salades sont fraîches et à tomber (essayez celle avocats/crevettes : une tuerie !), les soupes exquises bien chaudes et aux arômes introuvables en France. Les prix sont un peu relevés mais la qualité est là. Les vendeurs/serveurs sont tous des étudiants et c'est sympa ; certains sont là d'une année sur l'autre :-) Bref : je recommande ! Idéalement placé au centre du quartier commerçant.

Very nice staff, nice choice of healthy food although could be more choice of hot meals as they are always seems to be gone when I am there (I am talking about flat bread with meatballs),my sons favourite as I am vegan :). Nice atmosphere. Nice little stop.

The food here is always fresh, imaginative and top quality. Yes it's mostly sandwiches and filled baguettes, but there are other healthy, good quality things available. Even the cakes and pastries are pretty healthy. A satisfying lunch for not much money. Excellent healthy breakfast items and top quality drinks too with a big discount if you bring your own re-usable cup. I never leave here feeling I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Pleasant half hour break here for lunch. My duck wrap was really nice, and my wife’s prawn and avocado salad was apparently excellent. Friendly service and lots of room upstairs. Only downside is that the tables there needed wiping down and the bin was almost overflowing, so a bit better housekeeping needed. Great food though.
