Great service very good food and coffee . Didn't try the cakes but look very tempting and service very good even though the staff were busy.

Bonito entorno y curiosamente espacioso.

What a thoroughly pleasant visit here today at around midday. The young lady taking orders was so pleasant. Her interaction with customers was exemplary. She had such a lovely smile and manner, she is an absolute credit to the store and deserves recognition. The young man making the coffee was equally lovely. Another customer had a query about the cathedral and the four of us had a really great conversation about it. The lady in front of me was asking about sales and they were fully interactive with her. It was a joy to be there. Thank you!

I look for a Waterstone Cafe when it is time for refreshments. They always offer s good selection, clean environment and pleasant staff. This visit whilst my first to the Canterbury store offered the same level of service and quality. I was tempted by the vegan sandwich and vegan kale cake. They were both lovely and tasty although my family couldn’t be tempted to try a kale cake instead sticking to brownies for the desert.

Friendly staff, lovely fresh cake and plenty of room to sit and watch the world go by. A coffee, a tea and a scone each came to £8. Will be back next time we are in Canterbury.

Stopped off here for a quick break whilst on a little trip around Canterbury. Coffees and tea were of a very good standard, as was the service, which the two who were behind the counter did well to cope with bearing in mind it was quite busy. We didn't eat, but what food I did see served (lunches, cakes etc) looked inviting. Should I feel the need for a break and drink whilst in Waterstones, I'd definitely return.

Nice relaxing place for a coffee and a cake. On the first floor at Waterstones next to the children's books section, so if you're there with the kids you can sit and have a coffee while the kids look at the books and play on the slide!

13.1.2018.Bought two Ginseng teas,The cups where stained, and when asked for replacement cups ,I was given a less stained cups,When explained allergy's to milk, and ask for cleaner cups, the girl then gave a huff, and the other girl said it's only tea stains,no care for people with allergy's,who wants to drink out of dirty looking cups, the Ginseng tea is lovely and in pot,but wont be going there again,no health and safety standards. The hard seat are school chairs and may look good but very uncomfortable.

My wife and I have been three times in the last week to relax and have a great Americano and a cookie! One can also browse books on the 1st floor of Waterstones. They do some excellent toasted tea cakes and as the coffee is £1.90 - very reasonably priced. I think the BEST coffee place in town at the moment. The only down side or criticism is that they need more staff to clear tables immediatley after clients have left. I do recommend coming here.

Nice & relaxing cafe. The staff are friendly and greet you with a broad smile. Ordered a cup of hot chocolate which was delicious, and a salted caramel brownie which was out of this world. Spent ages just reading in my book and nibbling the brownie. Would definitely come again! :)

This café is really good, the service is great and the food is very tasty! You can look out onto the streets of Canterbury whilst you eat, and you are surrounded by books too - what more could a book lover want? So lovely, would recommend.

I was very excited about trying this coffee shop as I enjoy seeing something that is not costa or starbucks etc! The decor is lovely and after moving from next to the very loud escalator we settled into very comfy chairs with our hot chocolates....

We have tried this lovely looking Cafe several times BUT their coffee making routine is sooooo slow. They need a properly trained Barista. The staff are lovely but I only ever hear them apologising. Table numbers might help.

Considerate staff, freshly brewed tea from the leaf, nice coffee and good cakes. Popped in here whilst out in Canterbury to avoid the noisy Christmas band outside costa, will be back. Locally sourced produce at reasonable prices!

Just so you know I hate balsamic vinegar glazes. So for next time please don’t offer any or include it. Other than that awesome thanks

Arrived to a very loud and noisy bar to find out our table was next to the door, across from the bar and next to noisy drinkers. We waited 15 mins for a drink although the drinkers at the bar where served ahead of our drinks order.....we knew then we had made a mistake! The food was excellent we both cleared our plate but atmosphere, service and attention to detail was lacking. Would not return in the immediate future.

Great little cafe with a lovely ambiance serving quality coffee and teas. Loved the cheesecake. Service was very friendly with no pressure to leave despite being just after closing time. Frankly a breathe of fresh air
