it was a lovely day and we were struggling to find somewhere with enough seating and so were lucky here. Our food was fine, didn't take too long and we were served by friendly people. there is a small garden out back but not enough shade for us so we stayed inside. All good.

Good value, honest British-style cafe in a town that really needs one.So much in Whitstable is designed to rob you of your money these days, so this place is a breathe of fresh air. Hearty portions of well cooked food. Freindly service. My full cooked Breakfast really hit the spot with thick slices of toast and a big mug of tea. My wife's cheese omelette and chips was tasty too. Will come back when next in Whitstable!

We have visited here many times on our visits to Whitstable, we’ve never been anywhere else for lunch because the coffee and food has always been so good but on our recent visit we were so disappointed. You used to be able to get the best flat white coffee here, it is not on the menu now but we were pleased when we asked and were advised that they do serve them, however what arrived was just a big cup of weak milky coffee, not nice and definitely not a flat white! It also used to be a great place for baguettes and cake but the food on this visit was mediocre and the slice of cake was tiny and over baked. The cafe now also serves chips which it never used, so it smells like a greasy spoon. It’s sad when places change so much and unfortunately we wont be lunching here again.

From the warm welcome when we opened the door right through to paying the bill the service from both the ladies working and the chef was friendly and personal. A good choice of sandwiches, panini, burger and jacket potatoes was available all reasonably priced. The food was lovely and tasty. We were able to take our dog inside and she received a pupa chino along with a couple of dog biscuits in her own cup and saucer 🐶🥰 The cafe was filled with a mixture of locals and visitors, ladies lunching with friends or alone, mums with their children and couples alike. Such a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back! Thank you

Always looking for a “dog friendly” place to have coffee. Only been to Whitstable a couple of times before, fell across this place with a sign in window “Dogs Welcome”. That means us too. Needed coffee, didn’t need the tasty, well prepared bacon,Brie and Cranberry panini. But how could we resist? Chips or salad - lol - silly question. The chips were fresh, so well cooked and not oily. Split the panini between is (the bacon got shared with Penny the dog). Staff, clean presentable AND pleasant. Could not be more helpful. Menu is “extensive”, you WILL find something you fancy, from a scone to a full breakfast, massive omelette or, god for id you are that hungry, a “door step toastie”! A fantastic find in the high street of a lively sea side town with varied shops (most that take Amex too). Worth a visit if your passing, it won’t cost you the earth for clean, honest simple food. DON’T FORGET TO TAKE THE DOG

This coffee shop looks unassuming from the outside, but actually contains a lovely garden at the back. It’s full of plants and pretty seats. We were served by a cheerful lady who quickly took our coffee out to us in the garden. It was delicious, very fresh and definitely worth returning for. All the road-noise is eliminated when you sit outside; there are several seats and enough to accommodate a good number of customers.Despite not eating at the cafe, it has a generous and varied menu. Have not been for a year or two. Could not believe the price hike - over £5 for cheese on toast. At least I had 2 slices; my OH had poached eggs on 1 measley slice. They were the tiniest poached eggs I've seen, like 2 little eyes. Bill was £15 with a pot of tea! We went to pay at the counter but the owner was flirting with a male customer and boasting about her daughter, making us wait without even acknowledging us. So rude. We should've left her to it and walked out.

This coffee shop serves gorgeous coffee and our light lunch was very nice. We had a tuna baguette and a Greek bagel made up of halloumi, homemade tzatiki, tomato and red onion. Delicious yes but on the expensive side at £6 with no side salad. A large cappuccino was an average size. The bagel was not easy to eat in that it was quite messy - only a knife provided when I needed more cutlery. It’s a small cafe and at quieter times, I imagine rather shabby chic and quaint. But it was so loud! Everyone cramped in together and once you throw in the noise of the coffee machine and small children, I couldn’t hear myself think or talk to my husband so left fairly soon. I would go back as the food was super but I would definitely avoid busy times.

My friends and I have been here numerous times and always enjoyed the meals. Today, however I was disappointed as were a couple of my friends. I had the sourdough bread with avocado and poached eggs. The sourdough was a very thin slice and the avocado had far too much lemon on it and tasted sour. It also didn’t even cover the whole of the bread. My friend had haloumi and although the bread slices were enormous, the tatziki was again, just a smear.

I know this is Whitstable and they are a bit pretentious -but--We ordered the crab sandwiches at 7pound 50 p and a pot of tea. The tea was served by a pleasant young lady at once, Sadly by the time the sandwiches had arrived the tea was gone, it was such a long gap. We made the mistake of visiting Whitstable on the hottest May bank holiday in history. A journey that would normally take about 90 minutes took 4 hours. When we arrived it took another 40 minutes to park. The whole town was packed. So by the time we got to the Whitstable Coffee Company at 14:30 we were in desperate need of food and drink. My crab and prawn sub was delicious and prepared with care and attention by the two chefs in the open plan kitchen. Definitely a cut above. It was the same with my dining companion’s sandwich. The ultra skinny, skin-on fries were excellent too, freshly cooked, crispy and just right. The price with a coffee and a coke £20. Very reasonable.

Popped in here for a late lunch and sat in their courtyard garden which despite being very sunny was slightly shaded so perfect. Got a little bit lost going back to the counter to order and tried to access the kitchen but a helpful lad pointed me in the right direction! We both ordered the croque monsieur which was delicious and ordered the salad to go with it between us. That's where i was a little disappointed as it was just lettuce, 2 slices of cucumber cut in half and some slaw. Not even a tomato! At £3 I thought this was expensive. All in all a lovely lunch with a good cup of decaf tea.

The coffee was great and the cake and scones were delicious and fresh! I prefer to look for local coffee shops and support them. I am a bit of a regular visitor to the Whitstable coffee company, due to its great takeaway lunch selection and fantastic coffee. Unfortunately a lot of similar places in Whitstable are over charging for takeaway lunches due to the tourist trade, however these guys don't. They have a great selection of baguettes and baps freshly prepared daily, as well as hot food options which change during the week. I recommend you try the croque monsieur. The best selling point for me however is the coffee, which I think is unrivaled in Whitstable. If you need to grab a quick bite to eat then you can't go wrong with the Whitstable Coffee Company!

Been twice and left underwhelmed both times. Very very slow service, and they seem to have a very subjective approach to their opening hours, as the times on the entrance don't seem to have any influence when they decide if they'll serve you or not.

Nice small coffee shop with back yard that shields the awful traffic noise in the town. Nice cup of tea and Cappuccino for my wife with toasted tea cake.

Very disappointed. Waited for coffee nearly 20 minutes. we have received it after some team member noticed our frustration. After half an hour wait for 2 bagels we decided to leave. We were offered free drinks and when we were leaving the food has arrived - offered for free as well. The only plus side of the whole visit...

Just so you know I hate balsamic vinegar glazes. So for next time please don’t offer any or include it. Other than that awesome thanks

Arrived to a very loud and noisy bar to find out our table was next to the door, across from the bar and next to noisy drinkers. We waited 15 mins for a drink although the drinkers at the bar where served ahead of our drinks order.....we knew then we had made a mistake! The food was excellent we both cleared our plate but atmosphere, service and attention to detail was lacking. Would not return in the immediate future.

Great service very good food and coffee . Didn't try the cakes but look very tempting and service very good even though the staff were busy.
