My husband tonight was treated very badly (including discrimination about his Autism/speech) by one of the bouncers who kicked him out without a valid reason!

Pizza and a drink for £6... wow

Came with a small group of friends to have some lunch and a catch up. We ordered a couple of platters to share and some drinks. The food was lovely! Really hot and fresh - my favourite was the chicken wings by far. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept. Our only slight complaint was that every poop table was out of use and pushed aside, which was something we’d originally hoped to use during the visit.

Our serves were Nate And Danny (Dani?) and we had bottomless brunch! Genuinely the best bottomless brunch i’ve been to in canterbury, this is a must visit spot!! University students rise up also!! brilliant prices, great time, and amazing service! Will definitely be coming again, thank you once more to nate and dani! we adore u x food good too! lots of options and good sized portions! x

Had another great bottomless brunch at the penny. Great food, great drinks, great value. Some top notch staff there as well! Happy to offer there suggestions on drinks ect. Special shout out to Connor who was an absolute legend!

Lovely experience. I was with a hen party. We had the bottomless brunch. Amy ( hope that was her name) our waitress was very attentive No one had an empty glass. Food was nice. I ordered from the main manu and drinks from the bar. The others at the party 'went for it' and ordered amazing looking pizza and burgers and of course ' lots of cocktails!'

Went here for the bottomless brunch, lovely staff, big food portions and lovely selection of drinks! Will definitely return!

Breakfast was very reasonable priced, quality wasn't great...lovely pub though.

I have been to a lot of brunches but this one is by far the best. The food was good and there was a very impressive selection of cocktails. The p star martinis were delucious. . Ellie did a great job of keeping us topped up and we never had to sit there with empty glasses as she always popped over in time to re order. She was friendly and made us feel so welcome. She was five star. Thank you Ellie.

Second time enjoying a brunch at The Penny Theatre, the best I've been to by far. I wish I'd written a review the first time, I wrote an email but didn't hear back..reviews from now on! The food is plentiful and tasty and the cocktails, my life!! The real deal, tasty, classy. And as soon as you neared the bottom of your p'star martini another was brought to the table. We were served by a friendly young lady called Ellie. So attentive, seemed very happy in her work. And she was busy!! There were 9 of us on our table, another full of hens and a table full next to us. She served each the same, with a smile, never stopping. We were there for two hours and she was on the go moving from one table to the next. An absolute superstar. I hope you see this Ellie, and your boss...you've got a great employee there. Worth every penny and great value for money, thank you for starting my husband's birthday treat off so brilliantly. We will definitely be back, and hopefully not too far in the future. There were a couple of newbies to Brunching, they can't wait to go again (planning as I write😉)! Thank you to all staff at The Penny Theatre.

Nice place to have a drink and watch a band play.

The food tasted good and the service was also friendly. We felt comfortable.

I don't know what exactly it is about this place but it definitely has something. I normally go for places with ale but here I drink Moretti or Peroni and I'm happy with it 🍻

Came for bottomless brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Drinks were really nice as was the food and our waiter was amazing. Would definitely recommend!!

Just had bottomless brunch and is truly bottomless, in the 2.5 hours genuinely less than 5 mins with an empty glass, and that was while drinks were being made! Food was good and staff friendly and attentive, what more do you want?!

What an amazing place, personally I think the best place in Canterbury to have bottomless brunch! Been twice now and both times served by Maria, who is outstanding at her job, great energy and so friendly!

I used to work running sound for the bands at the penny many years ago. I came back after a long time and was happy to see the venue running so well and still supporting live music. I was made to feel very welcome xx

A good atmosphere for a drink, but not great food at all. I ordered ‘peri peri chicken’ - I was served a hunk of chicken with a clearly shop bought sauce on top. The chips were cold. My parents ordered nachos with beef, but they missed off the beef. The waiting staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely come back for a drink, just not food!!

Literally stumbled into this place as we saw the band unloading Lots of space , garden area , good selection of drinks ..and they have live music Well worth a visit

It was the first time I went. It was packed and there was a good atmosphere. I went to see Totally Blondie, disappointed the band started 45 minutes late due to technical issues. In addition, the mens toilets were right next to the stage. This was badly layed out and very awkward for customers in the area where the band was, with men barging to go into the toilets on a continuous basis. This was very uncomfortable and frustrating.

Really turned a corner, previous visit was terrible and no one gave a toss, so seeing the change now made me happy, done the brunch and it was excellent value

Came with my partner for bottomless brunch on 15/03/2024 and we had an excellent time! The staff were friendly and really attentive throughout and even offered a bit of extra time to our session as we had a short wait at the start! The food was great and we loved being able to try the range of cocktails available. Brilliant value for money. We can’t wait to come back! :)

Went on a quite Tuesday loved cauli wings. But pizza was a bit soggy.

We went here for bottomless brunch Saturday it was extremely busy every table booked.. our waitress Maddison did a great job very nice kept our drinking coming food good wing amazing and loads of them!! Pizza could done little more cooking I prefer mine crispy but was still nice. Definitely booking here again 😀

Went here for bottomless brunch on a Tuesday. LARA!! Well she was amazing!! Very attentive. Very polite. Made us to feel relaxed and welcoming. Will 100% come again. Hopefully she will be working again.

Was served food and drinks by a lovely staff member called Chloe. Excellent service and a great customer service experience. Would definitely recommend and would go back again. Thanks Chloe.

This is true, we were tried to be move three times before the allocated booking time, twice by staff and once by the guests. We were told to leave 10mins before the booking. The table was booked for 7pm yet we were told to leave the table before this time. As you state we left 2mins before the time was due, which is within our rights as paying customers (no longer). Wait to clear up? It was a tiny table and would not have taken 15mins to clean as per your staff member. Find it funny you were shocked for people who booked the table for 7pm got their table at 7pm. You need to sort the way your staff handle customers. Edit from your reply: we were told by staff it was policy to leave the table 15mins before booking for cleaning, this was not shown anywhere, if this is policy then that's your issue with how you time bookings. The table was booked for 7pm we were approached about 6:45 that we need to leave there table in 5mins, the guest then came to us asking to move at 10 to 7 BEFORE the 7pm booking. As stated your guest got the table at 7pm. I know the times as checked my phone when this happened. And yes we found a much better place with friendly staff for our evening and will pass on how unwelcoming your staff and the venue overall have been after your comments. Happy never to go back. 'Hi Lorena, this isn't true is it. You were not kicked out, you were merely warned to vacate the table. Your partner then refused to leave until the booking start time, and you both left 2 minutes before this booking was due. The staff were not rude, but shocked you thought the guests who had actually booked the table you were sat on should wait for you. Luckily these guests were patient enough to wait to clear up after you. Might we suggest you reserve a table next time.'

Visited this pub on a Thursday evening; I expected it to be full of students but it was actually fairly quiet, plenty of quiet seating areas available. Drinks are affordable & and good food menu available. It was 2 for 1 on pizzas this nigbt, which looked very tasty. A portion of nachos is generous; my only ‘nit pick’ was that the nachos were not warmed & the grated cheese wasn’t melted. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to visit with friends.

What can I say other than OUTSTANDING. Service 1st class as usually you are put in a corner and forgotten but here not at all so attentive. Food again really nice. Seeing other comments about football yes there is but in the front of the pub they play music with football on screens so keeps everyone happy. I will continue to return and recommend all the time they keep this high standard. Thank you all Paul

Went in for bottomless brunch for a birthday and the service was amazing, we had tee-jay as our server and she couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. She made the time spent there amazing. Well worth the money

We visited to see a tribute band and got a plate of wings to share which were good quality and value for money. We have since returned and some of the tribute bands are a bit pants, but the food and drink remain good quality. The Green Day tribute band was amazing though. We tend to stay at the front of the bar as there is often football on at the back with lots of shouting and jeering which is a put-off for us non-sports fans.

We had a bottomless brunch, drinks and food choices were not in my opinion limited, plenty of choice! We upgraded the drinks service and the price for what we got was amazing value. Staff we great, friendly and helpful. I’ve never done a bottomless brunch before but would happily do this again here. Make sure you book in advance so you don’t miss out!

Excellent Bottomless brunch at the Penny. The food was well cooked and surprisingly large portions and the drinks just kept coming. We were worried we would have to chase to get drinks but that didn't happen. The staff were lovely and very hard working.

Went for a Stand up To Cancer charity comedy night midweek. It was a great lineup and fantastic atmosphere. Decent drinks at fair prices and the food looked good, although I didn't eat.

Liverpool were playing.. the match. comfy seats, excellent staff and a bowl of bbq chicken wings and fries...job done! Many thanks...I would of taken 1:1 at the start of the game..but we are doing alright. Looking forward to a return visit.

Decided to pop in on a whim for breakfast and wow it was so good. Staff were super helpful and advised on what they'd recommend and helped with allergy information etc. Food was piping hot and nice and fresh. Was nice being able to eat in such a warm and welcoming environment.

Have been several times before for bottomless brunch but never again. Sat for 1hr20 and only had 2 drinks, half of the table got their food and the rest waited for another half an hour before we decided to leave. Guy behind the bar has a huge attitude problem and was completely unapologetic. Made to pay full price even though we left early.

My friends & I visited Canterbury at the weekend. We had previously booked for bottomless brunch. The atmosphere, quality of food & the service was excellent. We went back the following morning for breakfast.

Fantastic service, great atmosphere and superb value for money. We had the bottomless brunch and were never without a drink for the entire 2 hours. Staff were friendly and super attentive.

Came in last Friday and the pub was booming, great music on and perfect for footy. Only place in Canterbury that actually shows everything and doesn't charge entry. Most places charging entry and then 7 or 8 quid for a pint. Here it was free entry and all drinks were reasonably priced and good quality too. don't get the two together very often.

2nd time having the bottomless brunch. The staff are great and keeping you topped up and the food is tasty too

Although we did not make a special trip to come here, we were in the area and decided to give it a try for lunch. This is a music and sports venue with an extensive list of events with TV screens everywhere you look- even in the garden at the tables. The pub was immaculate, very clean and all the tables were ready for the customers. Staff were very pleasant and there is a wide range of beers and drinks for all. The food is not gourmet cooking but served quickly, hot and tasty enough. After we left, we said we will come back for one of the events (although the website link and Facebook did not look upto date on the sites I checked).

Visit here frequently, always have a great time. Staff are lovely and polite, food is delicious too would highly recommend!

Great food and great prices. Addicted to Lilley's mango cider. Only thing that lets it down unfortunately is the fairly grumpy staff on every occasion we've been.

Had the bottomless brunch with prosecco. Good VFM as you get food & drink for 2 hours. Done one before in Hard Rock Cafe in London which I thought was slightly better than this one. £25.00 each is reasonable to wine and dine in a city I think. Recommended.

Drinks prices suprisingly good for the local area, the live music was fantastic! The pubs a tardis with big back garden. Service friendly and quick too!

Probably one of the worst places for bottomless hardly ever came round to take drinks we had the guy with glasses normally we have Ellie and she is amazing but the guy was so rude and gave massive attitude. Okay for a social drink but much better bottomless options in the city
