Good food, for lunch or brunch, pleasant service

Fantastic range of food. Two of our party have coeliac Disease and virtually all the menu was suitable. Very attentive service. Highly recommended the Eggs Royal was superb.

Great little cafe/brunch spot. Had the Bacon Benedict with Avocado and freshly squeezed orange juice, which were both very good! All the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, an enjoyable brunch and we’d definitely go again when visiting Canterbury.

Loads of vegan options on the menu. We went at around 2pm on a busy bank holiday but were seated immediately. The next two groups who entered after us were asked to come back 30 mins later and given free drink vouchers for the inconvenience. Our waitress (didn’t get her name but she was Canadian) was so friendly and welcoming, perfect service despite being rushed off her feet and looking like she was doing most of the meeting & greeting and taking orders. I ordered a turmeric cauliflower and hummus bagel. After about 20 minutes a different waitress came over and said the system had deleted our orders and asked us to repeat them. Another 20 minutes later the food arrived but my order was wrong, the sandwich was on toasted brown bread instead of a bagel. Because of the long time taken to make the food I agreed to keep it instead of asking for a replacement, but remarked upon other customers being given free drinks for their inconvenience and (unusually for me) asked for a discount. To her credit, the manager gave us a very generous 50% discount on the entire bill. The drinks were insanely expensive - £5.50 for an orange juice, £3+ for a small soft drink. The food is also very expensive for what you get. My sandwich (£11) was dry and didn’t taste of much. Not worth the high prices and long waits IMO but our waitress was lovely.

Great food, great customer service. Upstairs has air con, only downside is it can get cramped when busy.

Lovely food and lovely friendly service. Very healthy and we like to support small , local businesses. I had already researched Canterbury and we wanted a tasty, not too pricey brunch, sitting on a pretty street -which was exactly what we got.

Healthy food options and attentive service from the owner of the cafe. Tried the Hungarian beef stew, which was nice and the home made almond matcha cake. Will recommend a visit.

Another regular spot for my wife and I on 6 visits from New Zealand over the years. Nice ambience, nice service, nice food & drinks. Very nice all round.

Very slow service, mediocre food.

White possibly one if the nicest breakfasts I've had! Pretty, bright and airy cafe with fresh looking and feeling decor. Coffee was rich and smooth and served in a substantial cup. I ordered the spinach and feta omelette with smoked salmon - and what a pretty plate that was. It looked so inviting....and tasted amazing. Perfect start to my day. I will be visiting again.

Great avocado toast! It’s a comfortable place to relax and chat with friends.

An awesome little find in the centre of Canterbury. As a pre-booked party of 20, they literally couldn’t have been more welcoming. The service, ambience and food were all amazing. And a lovely little extra of Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Eggs for the members of our party with a nut allergy were just lovely. Thank you Monika!

The best and most unusual choices for breakfast, brunch and lunch! Another review described the menu as vibrant and it really is . We had the nicest smoothies ever ( such lovely and different ingredients) and a delicious waffle brunch. It was so hard to choose as I wanted everything on the menu. There are so many excellent ( and healthy) choices of food and also drinks. The cafe is bigger than it looks so don’t worry if it seems full. The service is great too - very friendly and efficient. We are already planning to go back . Recommend!

Lovely little cafe. Healthy food and very tasty. I had the Goddess Bowl with Chicken which left me full, but I still managed to fit in a slice of rose and pistachio cake . Beautiful. The staff were professional and attentive and allowed me to read my book and drink my tea in peace once I’d finished . A lovely experience.

100/10, absolutely great. Love the atmosphere and decor and the food is phenomenal! Dishes I would absolutely recommend include: Bruschetta, Club Sandwich, Eggs Florentine, Banana and Peanut Butter Pancakes, Avocado Waffle Sandwich

Terrific lunch served quickly and delicious!

I was really surprised by how good this was. The panels were fantastic, the sandwich was great. And I was especially surprised to get poached eggs that were well poached but also survived the trip! Great teas and coffees too!

Such a lovely cafe in Canterbury in city centre,the staff is really friendly and helpful..the food is delicious! They also have a lot of gf and vegan options,plenty of hot drinks as well as smoothies and veggie juices everything is freshly made! Highly recommended:)

Almost perfect but only because it doesn’t exist! Pouring with rain in Canterbury. Kitch was the perfect antidote - welcoming, seated immediately and great coffee and food. Very attentive and relaxed service. Full range of vegan milks and superb coffee with double shots in large coffees. Well worth the visit. Really nice offers omelette with seeded salad on the side. I eat keto and this was easy to do here. Going to the cathedral? Grab lunch here.

Popped in for breakfast and a coffee and it was absolutely brilliant- coffee was really tasty and the eggs Benedict was a masterpiece - the bacon was thick and cooked to perfection!

Honestly expected more service was bad for me specifically and food was so underwhelming honestly disappointed maybe they had a off day or something but not a good first impression.

We had a really lovely time at this Cafe, it’s bright & airy & really clean. We were made very welcome inside with our 2 dogs in tow & all staff were friendly and helpful when it came to our menu choices. Our oat milk coffees were excellent (no overheated milk here) & the Vegan Breakfast & Vegan Benedict were SO GOOD. It wasn’t cheap but really worth every penny & we will definitely return if we find ourselves In Canterbury centre again. 5 stars.

Visited about an hour before closing time. The cafe was still relatively busy with lots of takeaway orders and several people sitting in. Staff were very pleasant and service was quick. Many of the cakes had sold out by the time I arrived but I could see from the labels left on the counter that they had an excellent range for vegans and gluten-free diets. I had a tea and a slice of the vegan chocolate cake. I think it cost aroung £8 for a tea with plant milk and the cake. Cafe is easy to spot on the main high street and in a good spot for people-watching!

Cosy cute setting in a central location. Good range of vegetarian and even vegan brunch options. The Croque Pardon sandwich with courgette filling was delicious and quite filling. Also had a slice of lemon cake which was tasty but a bit too sweet for me.

Delicious sandwiches - we had the Salmon and Cream Cheese sandwich and the the Kitch Club Sandwich. Both were excellent: fresh ingredients and portions. The sourdough bread was crunchy and flavourful. The prices are higher than one would normally expect for a sandwich, but considering you’re in the heart of touristy Canterbury, you can’t be too surprised!

My favourite place in Canterbury! Food is amazing, fresh and healthy. I’m coeliac and the whole menu is adaptable for gluten free. They have extra care for cross contamination. Also vegan options.

Had a lovely coffee & veggie breakfast here this morning. All the ingredients tasted so fresh. I decided to try a turmeric latte as I have never had that before and so pleased I did as I really enjoyed it. Everything was made perfectly and with attention to detail. I would highly recommend Kitch and am looking forward to visiting again the next time I’m in Canterbury. Thank you to the friendly staff for a nice relaxing morning for me :)

Picked up a slice of cake and an earl grey tea to go - SUCH lovely takeaway service where you can add your own milk, tea was filled to leave room for milk and carrying so it didn't spill and the cake came with disposable, eco-friendly cutlery and a napkin. The cake was delicious and the service could not have been more thoughtful and kind.

Kitch is THE place to treat yourself to a fresh and vibrant brunch/lunch in Canterbury! It's my 3rd time there and I've never been disappointed. I love their vegan breakfast and especially their GF bread. I even asked the chef how he makes it 😅 Definitely worth a visit! Their cakes look yummy too, but we were both stuffed after our veggie and vegan breakfasts...

Amazing and friendly staff with a great atmosphere when inside. I visited during a relaxed lockdown and had breakfast outside before, and now inside. The same problem still remains. Breakfast food items were cold when served? It’s lovely food, but would be so much better if it was hot when served.

Cafe muy malo, solo leche, casi sin café. Food poisoned. La comida, no ha provocado a todos descomposición (explosiva) a los 20 minutos de salir, así que supongo que no existieron cuidados higiénicos en elaboración de comida. ¡Fatal! Nos arruinó la mañana de paseo por Canterbury.

I’m going to give it five stars, but really it’s 4.5. My eggs Florentine was wonderful. But the cake was a little stale, and for the price I feel it should have been fresher. But it’s a wonderful place for breakfast and I recommend it.

Staff friendly and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.

Food here is absolutely delicious with some of the best vegan/vegetarian and dairy-free options in Canterbury. So delicious you wouldn’t even know most of it is vegan/veggie! I recently tried the vegan chocolate orange cake which was one of the best I have ever eaten. Also a lovely spot to sit outside at the front on the high street, and you can sit out the front with your dog. Coffee is good too!

Amazing food and great hospitality.

We drove 1.5 hours just to do brunch @ Kitch. Worth every mouthful. The pancakes (fluffy and very moreish), the lattes (Mmmm), the breakfast bowls ( you must try this- the banana bread is freakin’ awesome) the smoothies and fresh juices… What’s not to like? Loads of seating out front, inside, out back and upstairs. We prefer upstairs near the kitchen - nothing quite like hearing a happy chef at work - makes it tasted even better. Wonder what excuse I can come up with so we can go next week?

Had a delicious spicy chai and tumeric latte! Also had one of their bowls and aubergine dish! Both were tasty! Would definitely come back if I was to go back to Canterbury!

Had lunch today with friends. The vegetarian breakfast was gorgeous, one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The service was attentive but not rushed. Thoroughly recommend.

For heaven's sake tell no one about this very unprepossessing looking caff. I have NEVER tasted sausages so GOOD in my life. The food on offer was limited in choice I suppose but I could have ate everything I had twice if not more, it was soooo tasty. And I am defo not veggie and they had lots of worthy looking stuff that I wouldn't touch with yours but what I DID touch was paradise on earth foodwise. Incroyable, mes vieux.

We hired Kitch to cater our Dad’s 70th for 70 people. As always, Monika and the Kitch team were fantastic. The service was second to none and the food was even better! All our guests loved the food and we will definitely continue to use Kitch for all our events!

A truly amazing cafe, with lovely staff who are so friendly. We both had the Kitch Club Sandwich and because my wife can't have pork (bacon) the swopped it for cheese. Excellent, perfectly cooked, and so flavoursome. The whole experience was superb 10/10.

A group of 12 booked for brunch - never been before and never been to Canterbury either. The food was absolutely amazing - I recommend the banana bread bowl!!! All the food came out near enough together. All drinks were hot and came out together. The service was amazing, nothing was too much! Would highly recommend going here, and would definitely return if I’m ever that way again! Thankyou :)

Had a lovely breakfast and coffees in Kitch this morning. Initially sat outside but then heavens soon opened, it was no trouble for us to move indoors. The staff were so accommodating throughout. Too desperate to do things as cheaply as possible, not great service, wasn't even given a napkin with our cutlery. Cheap tomato sauce, and slow service. Plenty of other better places for breakfast.
